Josh's Beach house

We enjoyed out stay at the house and it was very comfortable. The only negative was the downstairs laundry was very dirty with lint and dirt everywhere. The location is amazing.

House was fine, but lacking a few details. Tv remote was broken No dishwasher tablets BBQ ignition did not work & no lighter/matches

Run Down and on its last legs

Good views but really needs a lot of work. Screen doors falling off/broken, deck sagging (side rail falling off) rust everywhere, tiles falling off in bathroom and fallen off in kitchen and not replaced, light globes needed replacing, one window glass coming out of frame, shower head spurting water out the side and shower leaking water down into the carport through the floor or wall. Hooks for towels broken off in bathrooms and unpainted plaster. A long time since anyone has given this shack any attention. Not a fan or ceiling fan to be found.

Thanks for your feedback - Lots of improvement made to upgrade the house in past few months and all issues addressed - The property will remain a lovely rustic Ocean View/Beachside property - and because it is beachside it gets hit by the seaspray etc. Owners have made improvements. Lots of guests keep coming back because of the wonderful location.

Good sized house with loads of potential.Once this house sorts out a couple of small issues it will be an absolute gem of a holiday house.Only thing letting this place down is a slight pest problem and shower leaking through the walls.Parking is plentiful with even room for the boat but is a shame no official driveaway.Great storage / laundry room which made it easy to store our recreational items for the duration of our stay.Hopefully a couple of small maintenance issues get sorted in the near future.

Reviewer Comments: I'm not sure what $160 worth of cleaning fees gets you these days, but we found an old lamb chop under the bed and about 2 years worth of couch treasure under the sofa.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We recently stayed here with 2 families, The location was perfect and the views magical, but that's about it there was mould in the bottom bathroom, mould on the shower curtain in the master bedroom (looks like bathroom was renovated and just thrown an old shower curtain in). there was some sort of animal hair on the bathroom floor so looks like floors hadn't been cleaned in a while, the electricity went out and lucky we had our husbands there otherwise all our food in the fridge would of been off, our husbands where left to fix the electricity with old wire that was there and as soon as you touched it, it just crumbled into little pieces. The amount of dust in the house including window seals/runners/light fittings/blinds looked like it hadn't been touched in a very long time. BBQ outside was dirty. The plumbing near the outside stairs to walk up was leaking water from the toilet/shower so you would been walking through this. Furniture was broken. The bottom bedroom bunk beds were loose and wiggle the sliding door to the bedroom came off and fell on my 3 yr old niece lucky she was not hurt badly. Survey was left on check out but no contact regarding issue.

Fantastic location.

Lovely week spent right on the coastline - can hear waves crashing as you fall asleep. Basic property but value for money. Kitchen small but beds very comfortable. No heating or air conditioning so would have melted if weather was hotter than 25 degrees. Great for mixed families and extra storage place for bikes and kayaks.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I’ve been to Dalmeny on holidays many times over the years. It is a fantastic place and the property is in a great location. We were disappointed with a few things such as a lack of cleanliness and maintenance within the property. For example, we walked into the house and noticed bottle caps and a cigarette very close to the entrance to the house. In addition, the back door onto the balcony had a broken door handle and quite a number of dishes/cutlery were not properly clean when arriving. Despite this, I still had a great time and all the rooms were adequate. Excellent lounge room area too! There is just a need to improve the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the property! Thanks!

We love this place!

On the last night we saw possums come out of the roof under tiles - we only heard then one night. It was lovely to arrive and have a toilet roll and hand soap! Had a great time. We love this place!!

Great holiday property

Two garden taps leak and one is hard to use. Grill door won't close - hangs open. Other than these minor things, we had a wonderful holiday.
