Property was clean and ready. King bed was comfy! Hot tub took a day and a half to heat up, but was great. Location is off the beaten path, but only 15-20 minutes to town and hiking. TVs were nice, but streaming was spotty due to internet connection. There is a DVD player to bring your own movies.
I do not like the neighborhood
The kitchen and living room was so small
Just one bathroom no internet
Was uncomfortable
I feel like I pay to much for what I get
The only nice part of this cabin was the location. It's a long winding road to get to it, but I would expect that from a cabin in the mountains. As far as the cabin and what is offered, it was terrible. We had several issues that Timber Top Luxury Rentals never responded to like the Jacuzzi not working, the upper level tub not working, no internet. From the very first day they never called to give us the code, we had to call several times, wait for up to 10 min on hold just to get the run-around from them, then finally after several more calls (and waiting on hold) we got the code after waiting roughly an hour. Back to the issues, I requested a call back and emailed but they never called back, in fact, they never responded. As far as the jacuzzi, it was gross anyway and seemed to have not been working or cleaned for a while, I guess we're just out of the extra money we paid to have a cabin with a jacuzzi. Also, there IS no internet, even though the listing indicates "limited Wi-Fi". I was ok with not having internet, but they shouldn't advertise that it has "limited" Wi-Fi knowing it's not there at all. In summary, STAY AWAY FROM TIMBER TOP LUXURY RENTALS, AND THIS RENTAL. This management company is only worried about collecting your money. With so many other choices in the area, you can find yourself a much better option than this rental company and cabin!
Cute cabin but in a remote location around 10-15 minutes from everything. The roads are winding & dangerous.... The cabin was overall clean... Needs more supplies as far as towels/kitchen items. The dryer took forever even with small loads, so that was inconvenient. The upstairs only has a garden tub so that was a little misleading as well. If youre looking for a cabin thats in a quite area this would be a good pick.
To start the roads were not what we expected. Be prepared to share a one lane road with other SUVs. I called about the hot tub not working. We got it to run, but no heat. No one ever came out to fix it. Past reviews mention being disappointed about no hot tub. This was a huge disappointmenr. Would not recommend this to anyone expecting roads and working hot tub.
We loved the cabin and where it was at. The hot tub was horrible though. The main reason why we picked this cabin was because of the hot tub and the garden tub. The hot tub wouldnât hardly stay hot and the garden tub wouldnât run hot water for very long and the water was rusty. The plumbing up stairs wouldnât hardly work and couldnât hardly flush the toilet. We had an awesome time but was very frustrated with these things. Definitely will be trying to find a different cabin next time and hope we find one that has a good hot tub and working plumbing. We loved Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge and the scenery.
It was decorated to the hilt for Christmas. It was very comfortable and inviting. I would recommend you stay. Two things I would look into :
The length of the porch light when it turns on and off for the stairs, for better safety.Small end table by the sofas
The check in location was about 8 miles from the cabin so that was misleading as to where we were actually staying and made the drive to Gatlinburg and surrounding area more time consuming but the cabin itself was great!
