Anna, we are so very disappointed to hear that your crew was unable to enjoy a 5-star stay in our home. We make every effort to ensure a wonderful vacation experience for our guests and are always extremely disappointed when we fall short. You mentioned that you picked this home for the pool/hot tub access. While there are multiple hot tubs on property, and we are delighted to share that fact with prospective guests in our listing, we do not advertise a pool in the pictures, written description, or listed amenities, nor did we receive any communication from you to ask if there was a pool, so this should not have been an expectation. You say in your review that when you arrived at the home, you were told there was no hot tub access. In the conversations that we had with you across both the VRBO platform and text messages during your stay, we mentioned the multiple hot tubs that are available for your enjoyment 4 separate times. We are struggling to understand where much of this miscommunication occurred. Your arrival was scheduled for July 31st and we sent a thorough, property-specific Guidebook to you through VRBO and email on July 4th, giving you ample time to look it over and ask us any questions. We sent this Guidebook again via email on July 29th and one last time in VRBO on July 30th. Even if you waited until you were on-site on the 31st, there are QR codes that will take you straight to this Guidebook available throughout our home. We take great pride in these Guidebooks, as we have put many hours into creating them and tweaking them to make them as helpful and easy to digest as possible for our guests. Under the “Enjoying Your Time Outside” section, we discuss, in detail, the onsite hot tubs that are in our listing, as well as a bonus, off-property pool that you would only have known was available to you by reading our Guidebook. We do sincerely apologize that when you asked us about a pool following your arrival, this option was not mentioned to you. The employee that you spoke with was trying to provide a great option by pointing you towards the beautiful facilities in Avon, but please understand that this was simply human error, and she was not aware that you had a closer option available to you. We learned about this option recently enough that it is not yet in our listing and some of our employees were not even aware themselves. We are all now on the same page and know that this is a viable option for our guests moving forward. We appreciate your understanding and will be adding this to our listing so that future guests can book with the expectation that there is indeed an off-site pool available to them! We greatly appreciate you bringing to our attention that the master bedroom TV was glitching during your stay. We were already able to get Xfinity out to the home, and they identified and resolved this issue before our next guests arrived! We do understand that our home can get a bit warm in the summer, but, like most mountain residences, this property is not equipped with air conditioning. We do mention this in our listing’s written description, and you will notice that air conditioning is not found anywhere in the amenities. We always encourage all of our guests to close blinds before leaving for the day and open windows in the evenings to let in the crisp mountain air. Doing these two simple things can work wonders in mitigating the summer heat. Additionally, we always provide fans for guest comfort! It saddens us to hear you say that our communication and professionalism were lacking. From the time you booked our home, we have had an open line of communication with you and have provided you with all of the resources that we find are necessary for creating a 5-star vacation experience. We have had great success with guest satisfaction when using these resources in the past. Our integrity is extremely important to us and we are confident that we have been professional in all of our communication with you. Our cancellation policy does not require us to provide any refunds for cancelations made after a reservation has already begun, however, we offered to make an exception and open our calendar, agreeing to refund you for any days that rebooked. When you told us in text, voicemail and VRBO messaging that you had found and booked a different home and that it was your last day in VRBO, we immediately made the home available for booking to have the best possible chance of being able to provide you with at least a partial refund. We are always quite sorry to hear that a guest has had a negative experience during their stay with us, but all we can do is provide the resources necessary for enjoying every aspect of our homes and the abundant and beautiful Valley in which they reside. We will continue to strive for perfection, respond promptly to issues that arise and we will never stop treating our guests with respect.
