Conveniently located close to St. Michael's. The rooms are bright, tastefully decorated. Modern appliances including a wine refrigerator. I return for a week every year because this property is well maintained.
The house and location were perfect for my wife and me to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary with our family. We were able to bring our boat and keep it at the dock. We had so much fun taking our children and grandchildren crabbing and fishing. Also St. Michaels is only 10 minutes away with its shopping and numerous restaurants.
This home is the perfect spot for families. It has everything you need. The kitchen has all the gadgets you need to cook. The layout of the house is perfect for families, giving everyone the space they need. The location is secluded enough to be private but close enough to town to grab a bite or do some shopping. This is our go-to place for all things family!
We had a wonderful time at the house and it was a perfect location to enjoy St. Michaelâs and the rest of the Eastern Shore. It was clean and comfortable and the pool is amazing - very nice size. We enjoyed the dock and rented a kayak to explore the creek (beware the jellyfish.) the kids loved the fire pit and we saw bunnies every day. Thanks for a great experience!
Our stay at the Bozman home was our first in the St. Michaels area. The home was lovely, clean and fully stocked with all the kitchen necessities. The location was quiet, secluded and peaceful. Susan (the owner) responded in a timely manor as needed. The pool was wonderful and fishing from the dock was a breeze. We could have stayed another week as it was so relaxing! We âll definitely book again!
We stayed this past June for a week and it was a fantastic house for my family of 7 adults, 1 infant and my parents dog. The space was great with plenty of room to spread out. The beds were comfortable, and plenty of bath towels for our group. The pool and backyard are beautiful. Our first couple days were perfect pool days, but even though it rained the rest of the week, the view from the house of the creek never got old. We were just 10-15mins from anything we wanted to do in St Michaelâs. Susan was great to work with, promptly answering any questions we had ahead of time and while there. Would recommend this house to anyone looking to visit the St Michaelâs area!
This was my second visit to the property, next year will be my third. We can bike ride, roller blade, take walks, take the short ride to St. Michaels for dinner every night. 20 minute ride from historic Oxford. While basking at the Salt water pool you will enjoy nature at its finest; a local blue heron which loves the dock, the eagles and hawks overhead, and an occasional rabbit running the grounds. The property is immaculate and very well manicured. The interior is comfortable and clean, everything has always been perfectly maintained. For those that want a break from the sun there is a Lanai with comfortable furnishings. A fully stocked kitchen for those that wish to eat in.
Was not particularly clean when we arrived - clearly had been smoked in and had hosted several cats, of which my wife is allergic
Entire lawn was water logged and thus unusable
Owner did not tell us the pool was closed until we had arrived
Issues with the house throughout our stay - including post-departure issues (septic system, wifi, oven didn't work)
Gun safe in the primary bedroom
Wonderful home on a private wooded lot set back off the road. Amazing 5 star pool that is huge with a great dock for boating and crabbing. The separate garage building could use a little attention and the fire pit needs a redo. The house has elegant furniture and high end finishes. Beautiful flooring with well maintained area rugs. The living room seating is a little random for a crowd. There is a standard sofa, 3 wingback, 2 individual chairs and a 2 seater old fashioned chair/loveseat. At night we had to move some furniture to sit together. The refrigerator is small with a problematic bottom drawer but there is a second frig in the laundry room. The kitchen is fully stocked for the average cook, no crockpot. We brought our own k cup coffee machine as a drip coffee maker is available. This is a 4 bedroom home on one floor with two separate wings. One bedroom with a king bed, a queen room, a double and the a bedroom with 2 twins. Two hall bathrooms. Some of the beds are rock hard firm & a little squeaky when you move; we got used to them. The queen room lacked nightstands/side tables which was awkward and not ideal. Bathrooms were all well functioning and the house is nicely decorated. Although the house could sleep 8 (if you put 2 people in a double bed) itâs probably more comfortable for sleeping 7. The dining table accommodates 6. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the home was very clean.
We enjoyed the spacious layout this property with plenty of room for our family to enjoy a balance of together and separate time. The pool and secluded nature of the large property was a great fit for us. With an infant and a 3-year old in the mix, it was ideal! We are looking forward to a return trip next year.
This was my 4th stay . Susan, the host takes meticulous detail in maintaining the house. It is a peaceful location on Leadenham Creek. 3 miles from the restaurants in St. Michael's. Great for bike riding. Fabulous pool. Thank you.
This house and property were just beautiful! With the view of the water, the pristine saline pool, and the secluded setting, it was everything our family hoped for. And, as a bonus, just a few minutes from Saint Michael's, which was the perfect spot for lunch, dinner out, or a stroll through town. The house also offered great separation of bedrooms, allowing us to comfortable host my parents on our family trip. We'll definitely be back!
We had a great stay with family for the first time post pandemic. We loved hanging out by the pool, we rented a boat and explored the area by water, and we ate and ate and ate fresh seafood! Thanks for making it possible for me to reconnect with my parents and Brother/Sister in law for the first time in 18 months. These memories mean the world to us.
We came to this house for spring break in April 2021 - there were four of us (parents + kids (6 & 9)) for most of the week, and then grandparents came to meet us for the weekend. We all absolutely loved the house, and our kids had a great time swimming in the lake. Our dog loved the property as well - he did lots of roaming around the yard. In terms of location, it's a pretty easy drive to St. Michael's, and we also biked there one day with the kids. (We brought our own bikes.) Both the owner and property manager were responsive to questions, and the house was beautifully kept up.
The one thing to note is that the pool is NOT open outside the summer dates; this is not clear at all from the listing. We had specifically looked for a house with a pool, and we chose this one on that basis. It was quite disappointing to discover when we got there that the pool wasn't open and wouldn't be for several more weeks.
Besides that, we had a lovely stay, and would happily return and recommend the property to other visitors.
