We stayed in the apartment so we could visit family for the Thanksgiving Holidays. The location worked out really well for us.
Since it's November we didn't go to the beach so we can't comment how convenient it is for beach fun.
Our two dogs loved walking in the city park that is right next to the apartment (as did my wife and I). The apartment is perfect for those traveling with fur babies.
You can definitely hear the people in the apartment above this one walk around. They weren't doing anything obnoxious it's just the result of a "thin"floor/ceiling. It wasn't a problem for us but if you are a light sleeper it might be an issue.
All the other reviews gave great rankings to the communication and check in process. Our experience wasn't great but hopefully that is a one off (we were staying over a holiday week and everyone is busy).
Tough to communicate with the owner, was a bait and switch as I was shown another property due to double booking. I was desperate and agreed (my mistake).
Did get a partial refund but not as much as I was expecting. Tried to dispute with VRBO and my credit card but no luck.
I booked this property as a bachelorette getaway and Rosana was extremely welcoming, understanding to my bachelorette get together, and beyond accommodating. I truly canât thank her enough for everything.
We had a great stay. The property was comfortable and spacious and just a short walk to the beach. Great for a big group. We were all in our 20s and had fun. Rosana was responsive and accommodative.
I want to start off with the best parts of the place, itâs a nice size for a family. It has almost everything you need for a stay including towels, beds, linens and cooking supplies. The design of the living room was creative and nice-looking as it is decorated with taste. Space-wise was great. Rosana was very fast in responding when I had questions and she made it easy to check in. And best of all, allowed me to stay longer than the actual check out time. It was literally a few blocks from the beach and had stores within walking distance. I stayed for the Nj marathon and it was very close to the course, which was helpful. Now the down-side of this place, it has an outdated kitchen which made it unpleasant to cook in, you can see it in the photos but having a broken handle on a drawer and a shaky one on the fridge with a broken knob on the stove makes it worse. The available cutlery was not cleaned well all the way. There were a few alarms not connected (smoke/carbon dioxide). There was a hole in the bathroom on the ceiling looked full of dark dirty material and there was blue tape on the light switches as if someone had painted recently but didnât remove it all.
Overall, the place right now deserves 3 1/2 stars but homeaway doesnât do halves. It looks like itâs being updated slowly as applicances were in boxes in the living room. Iâm an easy going person and was going to let everything slide until I found the dirty knife and ceiling in the bathroom. I was traveling with children and did not think this was acceptable.
Despite this, I did enjoy my stay. The beds are comfy and apartment has a lot parking and back yard space. It would get 4 or 5 stars if they just fix the items I stated.
