Our stay was great. Only surprise was sprinklers coming on a little after 6 am. Really would have loved to enjoy coffee by the water. Maybe set timers to middle of the night?A few suggestions: trim plant material in front of Adirondack chairs for open view of lake. Clean windows, esp those that show view, replace all inoperable light bulbs for more light and clean cobwebs inside and out. Overall, we loved our stay and would return. Thanks for a wonderful time!
Great little place! Perfect for a couple or small family. Great location, kitchen well equipped, comfortable bed and furniture in the living room. Yes, some of the furnishings may be dated but that is also part of its quaintness and charm. This place feels like a home. Easy walk to the public beach at Kings Beach, several restaurants and shops. Gave 4 stars for cleanliness for the bathroom rugs that need replacing. All else was fine. Plenty of fans and blankets. The water is much higher than pictured. Not sure if that depends on the time of the year (early Aug). We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend. Sunsets are great once the sun goes behind the mountain. It can get pretty bright before then!
Absolutely loved your property. I picked it to propose to Lauren - and it was perfect. Her parents and mine watched the proposal from inside and we all celebrated together. The proposal and family was a surprise. We hope to come back many years to come. Washer didnât work and property manager never followed up after our Sunday call. We left some blowup water tubes and goggles for others. Thank you for having such a great place for us to experience.
Our stay at Goose House was quite pleasant with easy walking access to local amenities (restaurants, grocery, shops) and proximity to Kings Beach, easy driving distance to other Lake Tahoe locations such as Sand Harbor. The house was located right on the water with a GREAT view and if you're able, stair access to the lake which we took advantage of a few times to just sit in the water (though it would be difficult to launch a kayak or other some such small personal watercraft).Everything was clean, organized, andn there were plenty of utensils and necessary small appliances (coffee maker, toaster, etc) and cookware in the kitchen which was important to us since we cooked our own food much of the time. Having a covered car port helped tremendously with keeping the car cool as well. The "complaints" I do have are very minor. There were quite a few odds and ends in the various drawers, cabinets and some other spaces; the washer/dryer only worked on one setting ("Casual" for the washer) and I do think a mini-split AC would help to keep the house cooler during the day. We did use the fans to help keep things cool, especially during the night.Overall, a good experience and we would rent again.
Beautiful views, the floor heating was set too high. Could not adjust to comfort. Lighting in bathroom over sink was not adequate. House could use to be decluttered. Instructions on how to use the CD equipment was not available
Wife and I recently spent our 25th anniversary at this cabin. Quiet neighborhood with gorgeous sunset views. Cabin was clean and had some very nice upgrades (heated floors were unexpected). Bed was comfy and the bathroom appears to have a brand new jacuzzi tub. Overall was perfect for what weâre looking for and will definitely book again!
What a great property!!! The house was perfect for 2 with AMAZING views, especially sunsets! It was furnished with everything we needed. There were stairs in the yard that led directly down to the water. I definitely recommend this property.
We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Lake Tahoe. The house is in a great location in King's Beach, close to restaurants and a grocery store. Beautiful views from the deck. We enjoyed grilling on the gas grill and lighting the gas firepit at night. The house is smaller than it appears in the photos. I would say it's perfect for 2 people. The only thing I wish the owners would consider doing is purchasing a couple of Kayaks for guests to use. The area is quiet and very peaceful on the water. Most of the neighboring houses have kayaks and paddleboards. The house has direct lake access. We Googled and found a gentleman who was willing to deliver kayak's directly to the house. It was so nice to launch from the house rather than drive somewhere and rent from a kayak stand.
Cute property, great beach access, great view.
Parking was properly described so I could plan for it.
The house is fully stocked with cutlery, dinnerware and a decent selection of cooking items. I made a roast, and wanted for no equipment (
With a minimum 3 day stay, I would do the fireplace ashes situation differently. We are directed not to empty the ashes, but I recommend a metal bucket which I could use, instead. It was kind of a bummer to not get to have a fire any more, because the fireplace was full.
Everything in the house worked except the in floor heating in the kitchen (think it was GFI, probably easy to fix if I knew where to look), the bathroom faucet was super loose, like the securing nut needed tightening, and one if the jets in the tub did not work.
Super comfortable bed, with lots of very nice pillows and blankets.
Easy check in and out!
Absolutely loved staying at this property. The house is adorable and cozy with an ideal location right on the lake with a gorgeous view of the sunset. It is walking distance from town so you never have to get in your car. Can't wait to come back!
My wife and I celebrated our 16th anniversary and had never experienced Lake Tahoe. When we walked in the view of the lake and mountains was stunning! We couldn't have been happier and even after thinking for a while we couldn't have asked for anything to be better! Will definitely be back and want to be back frequently.
