Lake Tahoe is one of my favorite places to visit and my family and I had a great time. Honestly the view/location of this place is incredible! Wish I could say the same about the interior of this home. Has a lot of potential but there needs to be a little more attention to detail in terms of cleanliness. There was burnt plastic at the bottom of one of the pans in the kitchen, leftover beers in the snow on the deck along with orange peels and some other trash, blood on a pillow & quilt on one of the beds, broken glass and a iron burn on the carpet in one room and the couch was smelly, dirty and the fabric was pilling. Overall a nice cozy stay but as I stated before, just needs a little more cleaning before hosting future guests. I will say Lake Tahoe Accommodationsâ employee Roger was very nice and friendly and even offered us a bottle of wine & a souvenir glass! Thank you for a nice weekend.
My wife and I visited Lake Tahoe to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This lovely property was just what we wanted and more! It was private and quiet, rustic, and so cozy. It was clean and had everything we needed to be comfortable - TV, internet, kitchen amenities, clean towels, proper heat (it was snowing like crazy), etc. The staircase up from our parking space to the cabin was a little treacherous because of the snow, so we really had to be careful. The property management company provided us with a snow shovel, so we were able to clear a lot of the snow for safer conditions. Itâs a decent climb, even without the snow, so just be prepared. We were close to the lake, eateries, and Safeway, and just a few minutesâ drive to Stateline where we visited casinos and did some shopping. Since it was snowing a couple of the days, we got to truly sit back and relax and watch the beautiful winter wonderland that surrounded us.
All-in-all, it was one of the best vacations weâve taken.
Historic cabin is cozy and adorable. When we arrived, it was absolutely sparkling clean. While it was built in 1927, it is fully insulated and the multiple heaters kept us plenty warm at night and the multiple fans kept us cool during the day. All appliances are modern and either new or in tip top shape. Fully stocked kitchen; I made a large batch of chili, baked potatoes, steamed broccoli, and made pancakes with ample kitchen supplies. Ate dinner at table on the deck every night. Birdfeeder brought us stellar jays, cowbirds, doves, and chipmunks. Absolutely delightful stay!
You are given the gate code to be able to enter the private beach just south of the busy Zephyr Cove Beach. The same code gets you entry to Zephyr Cove Beach as well as their restaurant, store, and water toy rentals. Extremely pleasant and we spent half our days doing this. Short drive to many other pretty beaches, lakes, and parks.
We were asked to sign an external contract and text an image of photo id, and selfie about 30 days before arrival; everything was fine.
Tall folks take note; some beams are lower than 6 1/2 feet so watch your head.
One of the loft beds has a log almost centered quite close above it; we just pulled the bed out in to the room a bit and that worked fine.
Communication with the host was excellent and replies were very fast and helpful.
Wonderful place, will try to stay here again if we come to the area.
Very cute cabin. We had a great time. There were some things that could be better. Water leaks and some mold painted over. Really great setting. Maybe a little guidance for beach access. We had a code but not clear where access point. The beach was small and not allowed in most
Great location & cute cozy cabin! Everything was perfect for our group. This property is so close to the lake and surrounded by beautiful homes. The only recommendation is cleanliness. There is quite a bit of dust and cobwebs throughout the cabin. The table outside had drink rings on it that hadnât been wiped off from a previous stay. Overall 8/10 & would recommend to friends and family who want a cozy cabin right near the lake!
Overall, my wife and I had a good experience with this rustic cabin near Lake Tahoe. I just wanted to let others know that there is a fairly steep climb from the parking area to the cabin. A person must carry their bags to the cabin. The walk way is too dirty (if it has rained or snowed) to pull roll type luggage. Surprise; rain, snow and ice accumulation is common at Zephyer Cove, NV. Just over an extended weekend (first of March), it snowed twice. No one from the Management Office came to clean the trail. We were on our own to shovel the snow and chip away at the ice. My wife was helping me (I am 69 and she is 65 years old) and she slipped and fell hurting her knee. Because of the obstacle and our ages, I would not likely book this cabin again.
Our stay at Zephyr Cove Cabin was lovely. The cabin definitely rustic and old with all the âcabin feelsâ. If you like old cabins this is the spot and plenty of room. It was clean and has all essential utilities we needed. The area is quiet and a 5 minute walk to a private lake. Property management was great and fast response via text. We would definitely stay again at this location but stay longer! Thank you for a wonderful stay!
