If you want an escape from everyday life, pet friendly Rooster Socks (formerly Mountain Laurel) offers a peaceful retreat only a few minutes from Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. But don't worry that you'll have nothing to do--this cabin is filled with fun! 86" flat screen TV theatre room with sound bar and 4 red leather stadium-style recliners and a fireplace are just the beginning. Hot tub for 4 off the private rear deck that looks out to the woods--and not the neighbors. Pool table in the loft. Remember PacMan, Frogger and Space Invaders? Time travel to the 70s and 80s with these vintage arcade games and more with the Multi-cade game table in the theatre room. Equipped with Starlink fast & reliable internet for all of your streaming needs. Cook out on the charcoal grill and enjoy a relaxing dinner at the cabin. A main floor queen log bedroom provides easy one-floor-living if someone in your party has difficulty with stairs. The master bedroom is on the lower level and includes an in-room corner jacuzzi tub, fireplace, TV and large bathroom with spacious walk-in shower.

Rooster Socks is filled with charm and creature comforts. The owners welcome you to enjoy their cabin and make it your new getaway in the Smoky Mountains!

Rooster Socks welcomes adult dogs (at least one year old) up to 75 lbs. NO puppies or cats, sorry. Your dog must be crated while left alone at the cabin. Pet stays require advance approval and we'll need your dog's name, age, weight and breed. We will consider multiple dogs on a case by case basis. Pet stays are $125.00 plus tax per dog.

Birthday Getaway

My son wanted to book a house in the mountains with a hot tub and a game room! This house was perfect. Both my boys enjoyed everything this house had to offer from the hot tub to the game room to the movie theatre. It was perfect for his little birthday trip. The house was very spacious and clean. It had everything we needed. I would highly recommend this house to anyone that doesn’t mind staying 10 minutes outside of town.

Great location! Cabin is as described. Hot tub was very clean. Missing sheets for fold out couch, so just confirm they’re available if needed. Make sure to check out Delauder’s BBQ!

Excellent Spring break getaway

We will definitely be returning to stay again. This was our first trip to the Smokey Mountains and it did not disappoint. The cabin was perfect for our family of four plus 2 doggies. Plenty to keep everyone entertained and so peaceful.

Love Rooster Socks! Highly recommend!

Rooster Socks was everything we wanted and hoped for in our stay! Hot tub worked great, all the fireplaces worked how they were supposed to, and even the grill was nice for a cookout and s’mores. Games were awesome - kids and parents were all over the arcade games and pool table. Beds and couches/recliners were nice and comfy. We also loved the movie theater. Only two very minor things were that the TV on the top floor (game room) did not seem to get signal, but we didn’t put much effort into figuring it out and it’s hardly worth mentioning when there’s a TV in almost every room. Also, was expecting a little bit more yard accessibility for our dog, but it’s probably our fault for not looking as closely to the pictures. Overall, fantastic cabin and would absolutely return!

Peaceful getaway

Great cabin for a small family close to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg. Cabin is stocked with activities and games to keep older kids busy and it has a nice theater room downstairs next to the master suite. There isnt much outside space aside from the porches for pets or kids to play. Quiet gated neighborhood. Host is very quick to respond to msages and the cabin is qell kept and confor. rable.

Christmas at Dollywood

Went for a short weekend for our annual family Christmas lights celebration. We wanted to try something new this year and chose Dollywood. This cabin was just a short drive away from Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Dollywood. We thoroughly enjoyed getting to see all the lights and enjoy all of the activities. The cabin was nice, beds were comfortable, overall my biggest complaint was it could have been a bit cleaner. With kids crawling around on the floors we noticed how dirty they actually were. But overall, not bad for the occasion.

Very curvy dark country roads. Steep incline security gate with access code needed. Steep narrow stairs up and down. Master downstairs, game room upstairs. Reported several issues with the cabin to host. Overall for someone over 55+ should reconsider.

Well kept. Clean. Responsive owner. Great for kids. A fun loft game room and movie room. Plenty of towels, toliet paper, and everything you'd need. Nice hot tub. Location was excellent. Far enough away from the busy town but close to everything.

Great getaway for couples!

My husband and I stayed here for a couple days and we had a great time! Perfect size for just us 2 but could fit another couple! We loved the theatre room and game room! So fun!!

Prime location, not too far out of town, quiet setting. House is beautiful and well maintained. Lots of extras and exactly as pictured. Only complaint was grill could use some work. We used it several times though.

Great location for a family! Would definitely visit again. Do not leave your vehicle open or unlocked.. even if stepping away for 5 minutes!! Bears will help themselves! Funny memory for us all!

Best place!

This cabin had all the things my family needed AND some! We will be booking with this cabin in the future. The beds slept really good. The game room kept my 5 and 12 year old occupied. The hot tub was my husbands bestfriend. Lol And i enjoyed the bears, even begged to bring one home (i am always trying to bring animals home)

Family and dog friendly cabin!!

We loved our stay at Rooster Socks! The host was incredibly easy to contact and reply was fast. Cabin was in a great location with an easy drive to get to. Close enough to town and all the main attractions while being conveniently located near the back road to get around all the traffic. Cabin was stocked with all the things you need. My kids LOVED all the games, pool table, etc. def a family friendly cabin. Cabin was very welcoming to brining our small dog which we absolutely loved !! Will def book again! Thank you
