Wonderful stay all around for our multi-generational trip to watch our dil run the Chicago Marathon. Great location close to restaurants, shopping, and the L. Plenty of room and kid friendly accommodations. Comfy beds, stocked kitchen, nice living room and dining area for the whole family. Definitely will stay again!
The row house was absolutely wonderful. There were eleven of us and the house comfortably slept all of us. The rooms were clean, the mattresses comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with dishware, pots and pans and coffee. All of us agreed that it was the perfect place to stay.
Location and house were perfect for our needs. We had 8 adults. 4 of us were 65. Only issue we had was that the stairs were steep. We made use of the handrails and had no issues. The Townhouse was close to the CTA and easy walking distance to Wrigley Field. We were able to park the car and walk or take CTA wherever we wanted to go. Because we were across the street from DePaul University, even at night there were other people on the streets, so we were comfortable walking around. The house itself has lots of character which we really loved. The house was very near the CTA line so we could watch the trains go by from the back windows. We were concerned about the train noise, but we quickly learned it became white noise. Kitchen was well equipped. It had plenty of dishes, glasses, and plates for 8 people. Also had plenty of towels. Although we did not need it, there were beds and playthings for babies and young children.
This property was ideal for our family gathering. The location is perfect and the property itself is very clean and well-maintained. Stephanie was great to work with. I highly recommend this if youâre looking for a very comfortable stay in Chicago.
This house is in the middle of the DePaul University campus, but that was no problem; it would be great if you were doing things on campus. The train is pretty much constant at times and made sitting on the back porches impossible to converse on during those times. There are a couple of floor level changes that may take you by surprise if youâre not careful, but we had a great time there and loved it.
This is a great property and so central to everything we needed! DePaul Student Center is right across the street. Restaurants and the subway are super close. House is super cool, and is very well stocked with linens and staples in the kitchen. We had a great time.
This was our second stay at this row house and we are already planning another. The house is perfect for a gathering of our adult children and grandchildren. The location is awesome - walking distance to parks, restaurants, ice cream parlor, and even the zoo. Extremely close to public transportation. House is well equipped with everything you need. Large dining table is perfect for sharing a meal and playing games!
The pictures accurately reflect the home we enjoyed. The neighborhood has plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores nearby. Walking to the Zoo and Lincoln Park was an easy 10 or 15 minutes.
Stephanie is a great host. The stay was wonderful. We love the true Chicago character of the house with modern amenities but the old architectural charm was left intact. We liked the energy of being close to the school, great shopping and dining. Even the "Chicago charm" of the Red Line shuffling past is fun and not too loud to keep you awake. Plus catching the Red Line could not have been easier as it was just two blocks away. Really ideal location for catching a Cubs game or heading into downtown. Just a great place and we appreciate you sharing it with us.
Lovely townhome with plenty of space for a large family gathering. Kitchen well equipped and large dining table! Two outdoor patios -a little tough to hear when the train rolls by, but great space! Note that there are stairs to all sleeping areas.
Beautiful home in a great location with all the Lincoln Park charm!!!
My large family stayed here over the holidays and had a wonderful Christmas in this home. The location was perfect and the place had enough bedrooms and seating to accommodate a large group of people. The house was very clean and had old Lincoln Park charm in terms of architecture. Stairs are pretty steep so had to be careful with the younger kids and older adults. Train is close to house but noise was only noticeable in basement bedrooms. Kids could sleep through it but for those not used to city living may not like the noise. Would highly recommend for those getting together with a big group. Enjoy!
Had the best stay at this beautiful brownstone in Lincoln Park! We were a group of two grandparents, two parents and two 9 year olds. For the first 20 minutes after arriving, we just wandered around and talked about how beautiful all of the old (and so well preserved) details of the home were. Pictures don't do it justice! There were plenty of rooms to choose from. Great outdoor spaces. Recent remodels/updates were beautifully done and yet, still maintained the historic feel of the house. As others have mentioned, the train is loud if you're not a city dweller normally. However, we did get used to it after a night or two. And a positive - it was super easy to hop on the train and head into the city. Also an easy walk around the block to several great restaurants (we ate at the pizza restaurant twice because all of the food was so good). Stephanie was a wonderful host - very quick to respond to questions before and during the stay! Could not recommend this home more. I love when you find a truly unique vrbo rental - makes the vacation so much more memorable!
This Lincoln Park Row House is incredibly beautiful and spacious. The location is ideal. Our family including adult children and 2 grandchildren walked to the zoo and took public transportation for a quick two stop away trip to Wrigleyville. Weâve already booked it again for a summer getaway.
Host was terrific. Easy and direct communication. House was as presented. Well equipped, tidy, spacious and comfortable. Location: easy access to shops and city on train.
Little things let it down - missing or broken lights, squeaky doors.
A bit noisy with the L on back fence, but we did know that.
This was a wonderful location and home for a low-key bachelorette weekend! Walkable to tons of wonderful restaurants - beautifully maintained home. We had 7 ladies stay comfortably. Stephanie was very responsive and helpful! Parking was surprisingly easy.
I lived in Lincoln park for a long time. I loved it and was so happy to return for a long weekend with my family. This is an ideal location to experience the neighborhood, Lincoln Park itself, the lakefront and easy access on public transit downtown. The townhouse itself is classic and beautiful highly recommend!
We had an a fantastic stay at this beautiful, unique property. Plenty of room for our family - the extra sleeping space in the basement is amazing as is the bathroom. The kitchen was nicely stocked, plenty of toilet paper and paper towels and linens and bath towels. The rooftop patio was perfect and ideal for a view of air show practice. Love the neighborhood. Stephanie is an excellent host- responsive and accommodating. I highly recommend this property. Close to the L but if you know that going in itâs fine- and didn ât disturb anyoneâs sleep!
Thank you, Stephanie!
