Remembering the cold winters and dreery fall while growing up in St. Louis, Missouri helps Bill appreciate the wonderful, warm climate and the beautiful tropical gardens that surround this property. After graduating from West Point, Bill proudly served his country for 21 years in the U. S. Army. Bill was an infantry officer in Ranger, Airborne, and Air Assault units. One of the highlights of his career was obtaining his masters degree from the University of Georgia in 1981 (that was when the Bulldogs won the National Football Championship) and following up with a 4 year tour teaching cadets at West Point. After retiring at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel from the Army; Bill and and his wife, Carolyn, started a small business in Georgia and eventually moved it to South Florida. Bill's wife, Carolyn, graduated from the University of Georgia and became a teacher. Carolyn is a teacher, author of 2 books, mother of 5 grown children and grandmother for 7 precious grand daughters. Grandson #1 is due on April 6, 2015. Grand child #9 arrives in September 2015. Carolyn loves decorating as you will see the second you walk into our home. She also loves opening up our home for others to enjoy as much as we enjoy it.

Location, Location, Location is everything!!! Although you are hidden in the dense tropical gardens of the historical Colee Hammock area, if you walk out the back gate of the property, you are on Las Olas Blvd. only 2 blocks from the exciting eateries, clubs, and shoppes that make this area famous. As exciting as the location is, you will have trouble pulling yourself away from the sun deck, swimming pool and privacy of your own backyard. When every guest walks in the front door, I want them to feel the warmth, and comfort of being in a home from yester-year. The white picket fence, the huge shade trees and tropical gardens, the smell of burning logs in the fireplace, and the creaking of the front porch swing, all add to the house's charm and feeling of southern hospitality. Besides being located only about 1 mile west of the sands on Ft Lauderdale Beach, we are also only 2 blocks from entertainment center of the city - Las Olas Blvd.
