Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I don’t feel like the condo is cleaned very well before we moved in. There was dust on the walls behind the bed and some garbage. There was inner part of a shoe on the balcony. The furnishings are dated the sofa doesn’t sit wonderful or the chair in the den. They just seen a lot of use. The wall hangings are dusty. It could be updated with new furnishings and wall hangers. There were there were lightbulbs they were not replaced.

Overall good but management needs to get their crap together

All good except the management dedided to turn off the water with no notice to tenants. They had plenty of time to tell people but thought it would be easier to try and fix a water supply pipe with their own unqualified worker and not mention it. Of course no showers or toilets would work, I’d have cleaned the dishes and 2 pans we had the night before. I’d have showered but no! We had to lose a day of our vacation and had to change all plans. Instead of a 2 hour down time, how about 12 hours with no water! A place at the beach needs to reimburse us for our lost day which is pretty expensive! Idiots! Had to call in a professional because guess what? Their own worker isn’t a plumber! Again idiots! Thanks and send a check asap

Our Stay

Overall good place. We are easy but for others, they may have issues with the following: 1. The light above the stove did not work. 2. The cable TV had been discontinued (winter I assume). 3. Carpet was warn and torn in one place. 4. Basically the unit was in need of an update. We enjoyed ourselves and these minor issues were no biggie for us.

Vacationing at Atlantic Beach

Online listing was accurate! Prefer to have a check-in process that doesn't require you to go to an office to pick up keys & return to office to drop off keys. Times have become more modern than that! We had stayed at this resort before in the spring of 2021 at a different condo on the other side of the building complex & we were able to access the condo with a code for the door lock! So much more time efficient! Condo isn't close to the pool! When we arrived at the condo it hadn't been cleaned from the previous renters. There was toothpaste in sinks, feces on the toilets, kitchen was too disgusting to comment on, bedspread with stains on it, and carpets weren't swept! Called managing company & they stated they were gonna come shortly to look at the condo because they thought we might be crazy & overexaggerating! The managing company got a hold of housekeeping to come & clean condo after seeing it for themselves! When we arrived back some things had been cleaned but certain things were still not cleaned like all the spills in the refrigerator & freezer! I really find it hard to believe that with the cost we paid for cleaning fees & in the middle of Covid & the short amount of time they were suppose to have cleaned this condo that strict cleaning guidelines were followed & enforced. As we were leaving the condo for housekeeping to come in & clean we passed the two cleaning people in the hallway & you could tell they were not happy because they were having to work after hours! I will say the managing company tried to rectify this issue as best they could on their end of things, however, it was quite obvious someone somewhere along the way dropped the ball!!!

Rented this one because it was about the only one available. Unit is in serious need of updating. Kitchen drawers/cabinets were filthy and bathroom rugs hadn't been vacuumed in who knows how long much less washed. Throw rugs everywhere. Old and dingy bedspreads. Still can't beat the waterslide and all the things for the kiddos to do - that's the only reason I'm giving 4 stars.

They did leave residual products like salt/pepper/cooking spray from past guests that was very much appreciated. Just depends how high of standards you have for an updated unit. We made do.

The kitchen is tight. Hard for more than 1 person to be in there at a time.

We had a nice vacation. The place is small. Wish it had an ice machine in frig. The decorations and furniture are outdated.

Nice but needs an update

The location was ideal for Atlantic beach. The property very functional, but was very outdated in decor and the building needs some TLC. The screen door to the porch would not slide and needs fixing. Also, one of the main windows to view the ocean has a broken seal, and the inside of the glass is covered with moisture, so you really can't see out. The property was fairly clean, but carpet was very old. In addition, the ceiling fan in the master bedroom was in serious need of cleaning. The pool was nice, although the temperature was much colder than the ocean water. These are minor issues, and again, the location and price were exceptional.

Tried and True Vacation Condo

We love the coziness of the place, but some might feel it needs an update. I was disappointed to find out the indoor swimming pool was under renovation. The indoor pool was always a huge plus for us, so its absence was sorely noticed.

The rental was clean, though with it being so busy during labor day weekend I could hear everyone and everything in the hallways. Early. 6:30am. Not sure who would be leaving at that time other than owners. Water main broke and we were without water for several hours and then our floor did not post the note about the boil water notice. We happened to notice it on the other two floors though thankfully. Those are minor complaints, as realtor cannot help that. Will probably stay again.

We keep coming back because we know what to expect with this unit, and Canon & Gruber provides a consistently pleasant experience. I suggested again that the sleeper/sofa mattress be updated, as it was quite uncomfortable. Also, I again noted that, sofabed had a twin mattress pad stretched beyond its limits, instead of a full/queen mattress pad.
