An Exquisite Escape
The Eagle’s nest is an exquisite escape from everyday stressors of a busy atmosphere. I must openly admit the pictures does not do the property justice. The home environment is met with a warmth, and a gently feeling of being at home. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything a cook may need. We cooked all of our meals, and never had to worry about trying to find a utensil or a pot/pan. The kitchen counter was equally massive as was the fridge. There were 6 in our party, and we had abundant amount of room to move around the kitchen. Each room is equipped with its own restroom. I stayed in the master, which has a very large shower, and a soaker tub. We didn’t get the opportunity to utilize the soaker tub, but impressive to say the least. The bedrooms were large in size, and the beds were comfy. My husband, who is a finicky sleeper, complimented the cushioned beds. The bedrooms also feature a TV, which is connected to cable. The master’s closet was humongous in size, and we fought over who would be able to utilize the space. The outdoor experience was surreal. We were all enchanted by the fire pit. There were several conversations, and bonding experience engaged around the fire pit. The river was also a gorgeous view. We often waded the water, and went fishing. There were several animals which we “ooed, & awwwed” over. The location was good. The location of the property may seem remote, but there are neighbors on either side. We were as far away as we wanted to be, only a 15 minute drive to the nearest grocery store. The negatives were very minimal. The TV in the kitchen, for the majority of the week, was not in working condition. However, the owner worked effortlessly and continuously to get it up and going. The resolution came towards out end of our trip, and was greatly admired by the majority of our group. The last negative is WiFi was not working for the entire duration of the trip. Again, the owner worked the entire week to get the WiFi up and going, so credit is definitely due. Truthfully, we were all engulfed in the scenery, we did not miss social media. We truly enjoyed each other’s company, and were forced to spend quantity family time.
The overall synopsis of this property generates and restores a level of appreciation for nature. The quality of the house is exceptional, and creates an “at-home feel”. The sound of the river with the fire pit roaring is special place for deep talks, soft talks, and special talks. I would revisit.
From the moment we arrived, we were in heaven. The house was spotless, beautiful and a dreamy location. There were bikes to ride and tubes to float. The town was pretty close if you wanted to eat out. If you want amazing family time or even to stay with another couple, this is the place to stay. Just please don't go when we go! Can't wait to book again.
The house is even better than the photos. You can’t go wrong booking this for your home base in your Glacier adventures. We hope to return again!!
Awesome stay at Eagle's Nest
From the day I booked the reservation 9 months before the trip, I have felt an open line of communication with Randle, the owner of Eagle's Nest. The place was even more magical and beautiful than we imagined it would be. Beautifully decorated, wonderful amenities, comfortable setting in a wonderful Montana town! Enjoyed starting and ending our day at the rock fire pit! We were blessed finding this VRBO, and wonderful family memories were made at the Eagle's Nest that will be cherished always.
Beautiful property and location
This was our first time visiting Montana. The property and location couldn't have suited us better. The property is located just outside the small downtown area of Bigfork - maybe 5 minutes. Kalispell airport is only about a 30 minute drive. In our Thanksgiving week stay we saw so much - Glacier National Park, Whitefish, Wildhorse Island, Bigfork, and even traveled South on HWY 83 past alongside Swan Lake to head to Missoula for our flight home.
Randle was a gracious host and made several phone calls to me to walk me through the amenities of the property. He was also generous enough to purchase a turkey roaster, thermometer, and baster as well as leave us some money to purchase any needed spices and seasonings knowing that we were going to prepare our own Thanksgiving dinner.
The pictures of the property do not do it justice. It was so well thought out and constructed and it was just perfect for our family of 4 and grandparents. Everyone had their own space and privacy. Unlike other VRBOs we've stayed at this kitchen was well stocked and we very much appreciated the Ziploc bags, foil, and saran wrap. There were plenty of trash bags, paper towels, and even Kleenex. It's always frustrating when you have to buy bare essentials and this was not the case at Eagle's Nest. The beds and sheets were comfortable, there were plenty of towels and bath rugs. And, a BIG thank you for not requiring your guests to perform housekeeping duties upon their departure, e.g. stripping beds, washing towels, etc.
My only complaint would be that the guest bathroom on the first floor needs a wall heater. It did get quite chilly in there even with the doors open and house heat on.
Hoping to return during the Summer to take full advantage of the river for tubing, rafting, and fishing. Thank you for sharing your remarkable property with us!
