Cozy Cottage near Bigfork overlooking Flathead Lake in our Cherry Orchard

Cozy, cherry orchard cottage situated on the East Shore of Flathead Lake, close to Yellow Bay State Park.
Location is 12 miles south of Bigfork and an hour drive to Glacier National Park, with airport only 45 minutes away. We have several places to eat at Wood bay, including The Raven and Sitting Duck right on the lake!
This unique cabin opens onto a deck, extending the cabin to an open air living area, with views to the lake. Charming, historic exterior, with a fresh, clean updated interior.
Kayaks and Paddle boards available to rent for nearby Yellow Bay or they can be delivered to you at the Lake!

Excellent Stay!

Everything about this cottage was perfect! It is comfortable and beautifully decorated. There are so many special touches. The cherry orchard is lovely and it is located just far enough out of town to be peaceful. We’d come back in a heartbeat!

Awesome place and awesome host!!!

This cottage was everything we wanted and expected!! We opened up the big doors in front door a good view and let in the fresh air. Sleeping was amazing!

Pam is an exceptional host, She made sure everything was in order and all our needs were met, but respected our privacy. The cottage is beautiful and in a great location for our trip. We would definitely stay there again.

Really lovely small cottage right off the road around Flathead Lake. The host was very accommodating by making themselves available if needed but left us to our own devices. The best view is at the top of the cherry orchard with a couple of bench seats. Would definitely come back for another visit!

Best Cottage on Flathead Lake

Our host was the most accommodating and the cottage was to die for. It has two barn doors that opens your bedroom to the outdoors with a view of the lake. The cottage and grounds (which is a cherry orchard) are so peaceful, it will bring you closer God. I was so thankful for the opportunity to stay here and can’t wait to return.

The beautiful setting, no insects to speak of , Such a kind and gracious host , beautiful views , privacy , beautiful grounds with various shrubs , plants , flowers , and trees, the cabin was very clean with kitchen , very comfortable bed , bathroom with shower, TV , furnished , and a marvelous deck on two sides with a covered swing on the east side and two folding doors that open onto a patio type deck that overlooks to the lake to the West and beyond which was a major highlight for me as I ate lunch there and just sat and soaked in everything for hours !! So much to be said about towering pine trees , chipmunks, the beautiful surroundings ,a couple of curious cats , and realizing this place is a little piece of Paradise !!

Two day getaway

My spouse and I stayed at this location for two days. I do think the pictures are very accurate. It is a cute getaway. The only thing I would note is that it very much smells like a old shed/bar, which it is a renovated shed. I wouldn’t suggest this place is you struggle with allergies. Other than that, it’s adorable and the host was accommodating.

Great location and Quiet

We decided to book at this location as it was central to the places we wanted to explore such as Missoula and Flat head lake. We are happy with the location and how easy it is to find the property. Little disappointed about the fact there was no coffee maker and everything in big fork closes early. We did stubble upon a live music night in Big fork and that was super cool. There is a lot of places to access the lake which is what we were looking for. We brought our own boards. Good thing we did as there was not a lot of places we found to rent paddle boards. Ali’s make sure you have change to access the parks as it’s 8$ for non residents. Over all great place to stay.

Great cottage

Everything was great! I would recommend a sign to tell you to go to the left of the front door since we thought we were supposed to go right! 😁 A larger fan option would have been great since it was quite warm last week and the sun is on the barn door until late in the evening. We had a great time! Thank you so much!

Gem on the Lake

Bonnie Heights is a find on Flathead Lake! My husband and I were looking for a 4th of July getaway while visiting family in Montana and we we found this gem! Amazing views of the lake and we had such a great time frolicking through the cherry orchard! So yummy!😋 Lisa and Pam are also lovely hosts. They are attentive and accommodations are clean and cute! The bed is also cozy! 15/10 would recommend Bonnie Heights!!!

Cozy cabin

A great cabin for 2 guests on east side of the lake with access to places to hike and eat. Nice view of the lake from the property. A bit of road noise but very comfortable bed and nice area surrounding cabin.
