Tissington Ford Barn est une ancienne grange en pierre classée Grade II située dans le parc national de Peak, près d'Ashbourne et de Bakewell. Magnifiquement situé avec des promenades panoramiques et piste cyclable de son pas de porte. Tissington Ford Barn est conçu pour offrir à nos clients élégance et confort. La grange est adjacente à un sentier et à un ruisseau qui relie High Peak, Tissington Trail et se connecte facilement à Carsington Water (la célèbre Ellen McCarthur a appris à naviguer); Offrir à nos clients de bonnes possibilités de marche et de vélo depuis le gîte.

Il y a tellement de choses à faire, à voir et à explorer dans cette région avec certaines des plus belles demeures seigneuriales d'Angleterre à visiter, telles que: Chatsworth House - célèbre pour la série documentaire ainsi que pour la série télévisée très appréciée de Pride & Prejudice. les fans de Jane Austen aimeront le domaine et les jardins autant que les enfants! Il y a aussi le obsédante enchanteur Haddon Hall à visiter qui est un favori de la mine, où Jayne Eyre a été projeté à partir et sont à la fois une pittoresque balade en voiture facile de 25 minutes. Bakewell est une superbe ville Peak Park et tous les lundis a un grand marché animé et plusieurs magasins à explorer. Bakewell est toujours ouvert pour les affaires un dimanche et vous donne également l'occasion de flâner le long de la rivière Derwent et de nourrir les canards, et peut-être même de goûter au vrai pouding Bakewell!

Si votre amour est pour la mer, même au milieu de la campagne, nous pouvons vous offrir Carsington eau comme une alternative. Un cadre magnifique juste un couple de miles que vous pouvez faire la plupart des sports nautiques ou à prendre une petite promenade autour de la zone. Les parcs à thème sont facilement accessibles et le plus célèbre de la région est Alton Towers, situé à seulement 30 minutes de route et situé dans un paysage magnifique. 20 minutes de route au nord par des voies tranquilles vous amène au royaume de Gullivers pour les plus jeunes membres du groupe ou à The Heights of Abraham explorant les grottes de Matlock Bath.

Les promenades sont infinies et en fonction de votre capacité, nous avons des montagnes à des collines aux vallées environnantes du Parc Pic à explorer. L'un des plus célèbres promenades douces est le Dovedales et est à seulement 5 minutes en voiture. Visitez Alstonefield ou Hartington, Ilam et, bien sûr, Tissington pour visiter certains de nos villages primés de la région.

L'hébergement comprend:
La Grange principale; Entrez dans une cuisine et salle à manger accueillante zone avec le pays peint armoires de cuisine et une table et banc pour siège 12 personnes. Porte à un grand chêne salon voûté de plafond avec trois grands canapés et deux fauteuils, une commode du pays et à la poitrine et TV / DVD. Une porte menant à un large hall en forme de L avec quatre chambres, la principale avec une grande salle de bains et une salle de bains familiale équipées de la suite Vileroy Boch et de carreaux de mur.

À travers la cour est l'Annexe avec 2 autres chambres avec deux salles d'eau avec salle de bains, dressing et cuisine. Bedroom Suite 'The Granary' peut être séparé ou accolé à Bedroom Suite 'Rest The Miller' en fonction de vos besoins. Le Miller's Rest a sa propre cuisine séparée avec réfrigérateur, évier et micro-ondes.

Beautiful, comfortable cottage.

The cottage certainly lived up to expectations even though the weather did not. We were a party of ten and stayed for a week but had plenty of space and found everything provided to be both plentiful and of a high standard. The owners were pleasant and helpful and we would certainly return.

Fantastic for Family and Friends Reunion

We were visiting from the USA and needed a base with six bedrooms so that we could invite family and friends to visit us. Tissington Ford Barn was a superb property for this purpose. Very well appointed and furnished. Everything worked as expected and the owners were very attentive and available. We used the change of linen servise twice which was done very effieciently. We thouroughly recommend this property.

Lovely converted barn with all you require for a short break in the Peak District

Tissington Ford Barn is a great holiday home with ample bedrooms, great size kitchen and lovely family lounge complete with log burner. The barn is very well decorated and equipped - you need only bring yourselves! Lots to do in the area; walks, pubs, shopping and even golf! Welcome pack on arrival was a lovely touch. Would 100% return

Impeccable property

Had an amazing stay with my friends and family to celebrate my hen do, it was the best weekend! The property was gorgeous and the owners were so lovely. Communication with the property manager was also great, cannot complain at all. Would definitely stay again! Thank you for being so accommodating!!

amazing post Christmas break

had an amazing stay at the Barn with family and friends. The space was amazing, decor and feel superb and the communication and help from Sophie was fantastic. We always have a pre Christmas break with our family and friends from Manchester. This is by far the best house we have stayed in and 7 days went far to fast. would highly recommend the barn and will be back ourselves.

A wonderful home away from home

Fantastic barn

Tissington Ford barn is beautiful. The accommodation itself is perfect for larger groups. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need & the welcome hamper is fabulous. There are great walks on the doorstep (with pubs on the way!)so you dont need to drive anywhere if you dont want to. All in all an outstanding property in a great location.

A warm welcome from Tissington Ford Barn

What a wonderful first impression of Tissington Form Barn we had. Everything from the generous luxury hamper as we walked through the door, beautiful decor, spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen and the attention to detail at every turn. Our group of 8 friends and daughters have definitely found our second home to meet up annually. The private picnic area was such a privilege , the weather was beautiful and a perfect afternoon to enjoy the delights from the hamper washed down with prosecco . Sandy has thought of everything and the hot tub is just the icing on the cake.

Relaxing stay

Very comfortable and clean. Near a quiet (ish) road, but the orientation of the barns means it is quiet and private, even when sitting outside. Fantastic location for outdoor activities and sight seeing.

Excellent property in a great location!

We had a fantastic stay at Tissington Ford Barn to celebrate our Dad's 60th birthday as a family. The property is excellently furnished, very comfortable and easily accommodated the whole family (Adults and little ones). The location is great and very picturesque. There are plenty of shops, villages and attractions within a short drive of the barn, so we were never without supplies or something to do. Communication with us was excellent and made us feel very welcome for the duration of our stay. Thank you!

Large but cosy house, in a fantastic location, with hosts who commmunicate fantastically

We stayed at Tissington Ford Barn for 3 nights. Before arrival, communication with Sandra and Sophie had been great. They answered all my queries and offered no end of knowledge on things to do, etc. On arrival, we were greeted with a lovely welcome pack (thank you!). The house was immaculately presented and well equipped for all our needs over the long weekend. The barn is very big, but still felt very cosy. The sofas are super comfy and the table in the kitchen makes the space a very sociable area to be with your friends/family. You don't get any signal in the house, and so WhatsApp/FB message was used a lot to communicate with anyone (using the barn WiFi). However, the WiFi doesn't reach the annex and so you can't communicate via phone once you are in there. We hired a hot tub and it was delivered the day before we arrived and so it was hot when we got there. Absolutely perfect! Only three very little things to mention - There was no coal for the bbq (it didn't matter because we had bought some with us, but if we hadn't....) The bbq was filthy and the handle on it broken All bathrooms had ran out of toilet rolls by the Sunday morning (and we weren't leaving until Monday morning!) Thank you for having us! We will 100% be returning and also recommending to our friends and family

I grew up in London and relocated with work to Derbyshire. It was after exploring the area that I realised I would never return to city life - the fresh air and freedom of the countryside and hills made me feel alive. I have now been lucky to live in the area for 30 years and in this time I have married and have three wonderful children who have grown up in this glorious part of England!
Our favourite places to walk from Tissington Ford Barn is the Dovedales and Ilam Estate, Tissington, Alstonefield and Mildale, Carsington and the Chatsworth Estate. If you like to venture a bit further then north of Bakewell is some outstanding walks and views. Monsal Head near Ashford On The Water, Curbar and Frogatt Edge, Stanedge Edge near,Hathersage and Kinder Scout are some of the ones which stand out if you are a keen walker. There is also Buxton Town which is another lovely day out with outstanding walks on the North side.

Whatever you do during your day, you know that you will be able to relax back at the Barn and enjoy the fine views. There is also an additional picnic area located by a steam a few minutes walk from the property to relax and take in the natural setting with a glass of wine or a morning coffee and newspaper.
