We (my wife and I) have been staying in Lemmon Lodge for over 30 years. Staying in this cabin when our kids were very young, probably in the early 2000's.
This year, we couldn't get our now grown children and their families' schedules to align, so we gave up our reservations in a larger cabin for everyone and decided to stay in #11 just the two of us.
What a good decision! The cabin was perfect for the two of us. We did not use the kitchen except for coffee and the microwave a couple times, but easily could have. The fridge was a little small, so we used a cooler for ice. The shower is also small, but workable! The private deck was wonderful as well. We maneuvered our chairs to see the beach and sailboats.
Overall, we highly recommend! Especially for couples or those with small children.
No communication re: check in process (only after I asked 24 hours before arrival). The futon is DONE. It sinks in the middle and you can feel it when you sit. Told owner about it, no response. There is no way this sleeps 4 COMFORTABLY. Windows in back room couldnât open and found dead wasps in the windows. Very limited ventilation. Did appreciate new sponge and dish soap was provided. Coffee pot makes 4 cups and is on its last leg as most water pooled in the coffee hopper and never made it to pot. Property is great. Ppl there are friendly. This owner is selling his property and clearly is already done and doesnât care about your stay as he wonât respond to my calls and texts.
We love this cabin and its location. Private grounds within walking distance to everything. Some fresh linens, extra pillows, and proper clean kitchen would have made all the difference in our stay
Lemmon lodge is an incredible location. Our cabin was the only one available, and now I see why. I will stay in the Lemmon lodge are again, but I will skip this cabin.
The location of the this property is worth putting up with the downfalls. There was no stove top like the pictures show. There was minimal toilet paper for two people. I was never given check-in instructions, I had to call the owner on our way up to the property.
Overall it was an okay stay, but weâd probably go with a different cabin next time!
Not real complaints other than the value for the size. No stove as shown in the photos. Refrigerator is apartment size. The bath is very small, too. Bed was comfortable. Location was perfect. Weigh out what is important to you. For the cost, though, we heard of better options for the same money after VBRO charges.
For those of you that are small, this is a really nice space. Better keep it down to two, however. Furnishing are nice, and it has everything you'll need except extra space.
Love Grand Lake and suggest that you stay there. However, this cabin is in need of a huge update. The main problem is the noise factor since the cabin is attached to a larger cabin and shares a common wall. It has the same flooring, kitchen and other items for the past fifty years. The shower is exceptionally small and the overall feeling is not homey - just old. It was not exactly filthy but you don't get a "clean" feeling either. Grand Lake is wonderful however and if you can stay in other places it is a wonderful place to be at. I would not stay at this cabin again and cannot recommend it.
This cabin is small but worked perfect for two. We also had the main cabin and this was nice to have in addition. The bathroom is very small but itâs updated and very nice.
Cabin was very dark inside. Shower stall is size of a phone booth. Insufficient electrical plugs in bath and bedroom. No plugs in bathroom and only on the wall near the headboard in the bedroom. Nothing near a mirror to use hair dryer and curling iron. Futon was uncomfortable to sit in. Needs to be a couch. On the positive side, the kitchen is well stock, both with appliances and foodstuff. Manager support was excellent. She got help with the TV and got us an iron and ironing board when we asked. Location of cabin was great for our purposes.
Fantastic location, but very over-priced for the size and amenities of the cabin.
My family has been staying at Lemon Lodge every year for decades. This year, however I booked this smaller cabin for my wife and I to have more privacy than the larger house the rest of my family stayed in. After paying all of the VRBO fees, this cabin ended up being very expensive and I would have rather stayed in a non-VRBO cabin rented from Lemon Lodge directly. As always, Lemon Lodge is an amazing place to stay, right on the lake, the grounds were immaculate and the staff always very friendly and helpful. I wish all the cabins would go back to booking directly through Lemon Lodge due to the convenience and up-front costs. This specific cabin was fine. It was clean and convenient....just too small to be worth paying as much as we did.
This cabin is very cute, it accommodated three just fine. I especially love the porch! It is located in the middle of the property, so has close proximity to the lake and the entrance. Very comfortable spot... Would love to stay here again!
Lemon Lodge was our choice for celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. The Lemon Lodge grounds are the perfect get away spot.
Tallie was wonderful. The cabin is cozy and the gas fireplace charming.
My only concern was that we did not have soap in the shower and we had only a bit of watered down liquid soap at the bathroom sink. There was no kleenex in the cabin, and the futon/couch is not very comfortable if you plan to stay in to watch t.v. It may need just a bit of an update when it comes to furniture for the price that is being asked. But it was still a very nice quiet place to relax. Thank you!
Loved this little cabin! It is so quaint and has such an authentic Grand Lake setting. There is so much to do on the property and a short walk to town. It was a perfect getaway to rest and unwind.

Our family came to Grand Lake in 1987 just a few weeks before our youngest member was born. We have been fishing, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, scuba diving, running the Buffalo Run 5k, and holding family reunions for the past 28 years. We are excited to start renting our two Lemmon Lodge cabins by owner this year!
