Problems we faced: The boiler was not working on arrival
The bedroom lacked a cupboard/ drawer unit so we had clothes in piles on the floor
The oven/grill kept tripping the electricity
The pool was not clean and the level was too low - this took about 5 days to rectify
The hedge by the gate was blocking the gate and therefore causing the gate to be very difficult to open and close, this needed the Gardner to come and cut it back
The owner had taken the cards for rubbish away therefore the agency had to sort this for us
The hairdryer in the bathroom did not fit the socket
We had visited the Trulli back in 2017 and enjoyed it so much that we wanted to return but we felt that nothing had been checked before our arrival
We also would like to recommend that if your visitors arrival is late that maybe bread/croissants could be left for breakfast the next day. The welcome pack with milk, wine, candle and savoury snacks was appreciated. Possibly another cupboard staple could be salt and pepper.
Our stay in beautiful Puglia was not spoilt but we were continually on the phone to the agents and this should have been avoided.
We had a lovely relaxing and comfortable stay. We really enjoyed our own space and the pool was a real bonus. A car is essential as access is off the beaten track. Good communication with Mark and Perfect Puglia, the managing agents who also looked after the pool and any queries we had during our stay.
A really lovely Trullo with an excellent pool, ideal for two people. Located near the historic white cities with their great bars and restaurants. Many thanks Mark for a wonderful holiday in your Trullo. Frank & Vanda
Alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert!

This property is at the end of a lane with a couple of other houses near by. The accommodation is excellent - a cool bedroom, shower and toilet right next door and a seating area and table and chairs inside if required. We spent the majority of our time around the pool and we mostly ate outside. the kitchen and equipment is just fine for self-catering and the BBQ outside is definitely worth firing up. It is in a really quiet and peaceful area slightly away from it all but within a short drive of the the nearest supermarkets and restaurants. The old parts of Martina Franca and Locorotondo are utterly charming with a great selection of little bars, pizzerias or restaurants. There are several medium sized supermarkets in town and the market on a Wednesday is a must. We ventured to the coast a few times which is picturesque in places but brace yourself for being charged to park, access the beach and for beds and parasols to get onto the nicer places. We spent a great deal of time lazing by the pool which maintains a lovely temperature and brings welcome relief from the sunshine - which in our case was constant.
All in all I would thoroughly recommend this property if you like peace and quiet with good access to local towns and the coast to dip in and out of as you want.
Charming covers a multitude..... we loved Puglia, however we had a few issues with the property, cooking facilities were interesting, there was a gas hob but the little combination oven placed on the fridge had a very short flex and nowhere to plug it into unless you reorganised the whole kitchen.
DVD would not work and the television received only Italian stations. However we read a lot of books.
I appreciate that part of the properties charm is its simplicity but a better shower would have been appreciated. Temperature alternated between scalding hot and a chilly dribble.
Giuliano and Mary were extremely helpful and efficient in dealing with our lack of ordered groceries when we arrived at the property at 11pm. Giuliano went and fetched pizzas for us and appeared with our groceries first thing the next morning. Thank you Giuiliano.
Also, we felt there should have been a book with useful information for guests. Information about local Doctor, what to do in an emergency , rubbish disposal etc. Mary was very helpful but I feel this information should be available within the property.
Amazing villa, so peaceful and quiet. Everything was provided for and the pool was lovely and warm.
This was one of the best properties we have stayed in. We were so comfortable which made our stay so relaxing. My husband realised there was no pool net so he contacted Mary and within the hour someone turned up with one. What service. The location is really good but you do need a car. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.
Perfect romantic getaway. This traditional rural property is comfortable and well-equipped, with thoughtful âextrasâ like washing up liquid, dishcloths, bin bags and even coffee provided. The pool is fabulous. The management company is friendly and extremely responsive so the few issues we had (we ran out of water twice and discovered a wasps nest!) were quickly and painlessly resolved. Even the pool was cleaned once a week!
You will be a fair way from civilisation in this property. That was exactly what we wanted but be warned: there is not much in the way of shops, bars or restaurants this side of Martina Franca so you have to be organised, enjoy your company or be prepared to drive a lot! Having said that the drives are worth it with the white cities of Martina Franca, Locorotondo and Alberobello all within easy reach not to mention the coast. Martina Franca is particularly vibrant in the evenings.
If youâre looking no further than a simple stay in the sun, your own pool and a BBQ look no further. ..
This is a family owned property. It is named Lachelie after Lachlan and Eleanor, my two (now grown up) children. I fell in love with Italy when I visited there with an Italian friend in 2003. He said "you will always want to come back". He was right. Within 2 weeks we owned our little trullo and part of Italy.
Our property is nestled in a quiet part of the countryside and our neighbours are fantastic people. A real mix of Europe. Italians, Brits and Belgians - with the occasional Swede thrown in for good measure also!
