Penhallow est une maison de pêcheur traditionnelle de St Ives, répartie sur trois étages. Elle offre un espace à une famille qui séjourne pendant les vacances scolaires ou une retraite intime pour les couples qui veulent s'évader pour une pause côtière. À quelques centaines de pieds de sable de la plage du port, vous ne pouvez pas être mieux placé pour explorer les meilleurs restaurants, galeries et plages de St Ives et profiter de quelques-unes des excursions à faire autour des magnifiques criques secrètes ( mieux trouvé à marée basse!). Cool en été, grillé en hiver, Penhallow est parfait toute l'année quelle que soit votre raison de visiter St Ives. Avec son espace extérieur, vous pouvez siroter votre boisson préférée tout en vous rafraîchissant après une journée sur la plage ou en hiver. C'est un rêve d'allumer le poêle à bois, de vous lover avec un livre et de laisser votre esprit vagabonder. La chambre principale et la chambre à lits jumeaux sont au premier étage avec la salle de bains familiale, les planchers de bois dépouillés et les murs blancs donnent une impression de réserve fraîche avec des touches de couleurs subtiles pour vous rappeler où vous êtes en vacances! Au rez-de-chaussée, vous pouvez profiter d'un espace de vie ouvert, convivial et accueillant. La cuisine est moderne, bien équipée et lumineuse avec un siège de fenêtre offrant de légers aperçus du port. Les repas sont autour de l'île centrale et jusqu'à 5 personnes peuvent s'asseoir confortablement. Il y a une table pliante et des chaises à utiliser pour la solution de restauration supplémentaire en cas de besoin. Au rez-de-chaussée inférieur (niveau de la rue) vous avez deux lits simples qui viennent avec WC et lavabo et porte menant à la promenade pavée à la plage.

Perfect location

A beautiful cottage with everything we needed. Thoroughly enjoyed having a morning coffee on window seat in the kitchen looking at the sea. Very well equipped and perfect location for exploring all of St Ives.

lovely wee house

house very nice and as described, Kitchen had everything, if you were cooking, which you might have to as the restaurants all need to be booked... fantastic location, close to beaches, Tate etc. customer support was great.

Penhallow St Ives

Beautiful property which was clean and well furnished. It was in a quiet alley with small outdoor space ideal for an evening drink. we stayed with our son and grandson and will return next year with daughter and son in law with grandchildren aged 5 and 7. A great location

Perfect Penhallow

Everything from the layout to the location was just perfect for us. My wife and I used the basement bedroom (lovely) and my daughter and son-in-law and grandchildren (3 and 1) were upstairs. The proximity to the beach was the icing on the cake (literally less than a minute’s walk) as both kids loved playing there. Within easy reach of eateries of all sorts too, and yet within Penhallow itself was quiet..! Would definitely book there again!

Perfect location!

We enjoyed our stay in Penhallow, a very well equipped holiday cottage just a stones throw from the harbour. We found it comfortable, clean, and well maintained. The location made it for us, so close to the beach and shops/pubs etc. Home from home let with everything you need for a self catering break in a stunning location, with very nice quality bedding and towels - oh and blankets for a cosy evening!

Lovely place and super comfy beds.

Good. Parking in St Ives is obviously a nightmare, but the trade off woth this place is that you're right on the beach and close to cafes etc.

Amazing penhallow

This cottage was a brilliant choice for us it had everything you need to make it a good holiday,it was clean and tidy with lovely pictures and fittings a fully equipped kitchen and comfy lounge area and the best thing it’s right on the harbour so what’s not to like,I think the only downside for us is that there is no parking which turned into a bit of a nightmare but didn’t spoil our holiday.I would definitely recommend this cottage to anybody who is looking at going to st Ives.

Fantastic Little Cottage - Recommended

Initially I did take a sharp intake of breath when I saw the cost of a week's rental at Penhallow. But, as they say, you get what you pay for and this is certainly true of this property. The cottage is really well appointed, beautifully decorated with top brand appliances, even the crockery, cooking knives, saucepans and cutlery are all high quality. The two bathrooms are really nicely fitted out and the beds all very comfortable. We stayed in August and keeping a social distance from other people in the town was quite difficult, it was so busy. But the location of Penhallow was perfect - close enough to all the shops and beaches, but tucked away in a side alley so it is very private and quiet (apart from the seagulls!). The little terrace was great for an evening drink outside and a welcome addition to the property. We loved it. Recommended.

Typical Cornish cottage within level walking distance to harbour and all beaches.

Cottage has outside seating area which we used to store surf board/bodyboards as nowhere in house to do so. As the cottage sleeps six , comfortably and there is an ensuite with sink and toilet downstairs but another shower would have been useful. We did as orange roofs suggested and parked up early then booked a taxi to load up and drop off all our luggage close to the cottage. Have to say Ace taxis as recommended were brilliant and would definitely do this again. When the weather isn't great Penhallows location was perfect for popping to the beache to check out the waves or seeing if the seals were in the harbour or nipping out for a cheeky pasty. The living area isn't huge but then who wants to sit indoors when you have all of St Ives to explore and enjoy 😊

well equipped cottage

We all enjoyed our stay in Penhallow. Beautifully decorated, well equipped cottage. Perfect location, would stay here again. Only fault was, we found the basement room very cold and ?damp. Slugs in washroom. I would book to stay here again but only use two upstairs bedrooms.

Hello Christine Thank you so much for your review, that's not good you felt the downstairs area was cold and damp, we will definitely rectify that to make it the warm and cosy room it has been! I wonder if you put the heating on? Also, not nice to share the washroom with a slug! Even they are escaping the British weather! Fabulous location with great Accommodation

Back home from a fantastic week away staying at Penhallow. We arrived to a clean and homely cottage that was very well equipped. We didn't want for anything. The customer service received from Orange Roofs was exceptional from start to finish. The location of this property is outstanding and we will certainly be recommending it to friends. Thankyou for making our family holiday a great one.
