Its a beautiful location. The hummingbird feeders were lovely as was the hottub and the bedroom. It was great to have a washer and dryer to clean towels and clothes. The kitchen is well stocked albeit small with little space to work in. Communication is difficult there as calls drop. The owner is attentive when you need him. I loved it and could have stayed much longer if I was able to. No bear sightings thank goodness.
We really enjoyed our stay! We loved sitting on the porch and watching all of the animals--beaver, lightning bugs, hummingbirds and farm animals. We took our wifi box and and smart TV hoping to use our streaming subscriptions for entertainment but the weather kind of kept the signal strength to a minimum.
Beautiful cabin in a secluded area of the Smoky Mountains. Great big balcony with hot tub. Very clean and cozy cabin thatâs private. Highly recommend and will book again if in the area.
The negativesThe property was a 22mile, 40 minute drive from GatlinburgThe turn in is horribly marked (they do recommend coming at daylight & note the conditions in their emails, and GPS will try to send you into someone's driveway (they've even got a posted sign, it happens often, lol). The view is really of someone's back yard &/or a farm and theres another cabin hidden from view but not far away (we never heard or saw the occupants). While in the pics it looks like you are completely alone. The couch (pull out sleeper) wasnt comfortable for sitting. There are extra charges for not cleaning up (dishes, etc). It's a small price & small work, but felt like it rushed us around checkout - 10am. There's nothing that is unscented or hypoallergenic for washing. It definitely caused me some allergic issues. Well stocked for utensils and cooking gear, k cups are at the dollar general in Cosby - 8 minute driveQuiet, sereneBeautiful foliage (including the drive, too) The hot tub was perfectShower's great, water gets hot super fastIn summaryIts a great, clean spot for a romantic getaway (not for the kids - any age), lots of pluses and absolutely lovely. The listing could more accurately depict the setting and location. (I want to see the whole picture ...even the cute wooden bear family in the neighbors backyard) I probably would have put it at a 5 star had the listing/pics been more accurate to the whole picture.
The property itself was wonderful. No complaints. Only issue was how far away it was from happening places (our fault for not looking further into this) If you are wanting a getaway from society type of vacation, this is the place for you.
Small and pleasant log cabin in a less-travelled area about 40 minutes East of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Cabin was clean and organized when we arrived. Enjoyed 7 days of silence and nature during our stay. Saw a total 6 bears (not at the cabin, just during the trip)!
This little cabin was the perfect couple's getaway! The hot tub was so relaxing. Everything was clean, and the check-in process was a breeze. The host provided ample instructions, and we felt very prepared when we arrived at the cabin. I read the reviews and the host's listing, so I was aware of the entry steps, the longer drive to get into "civilization," and the lack of provided supplies. Because I did research, these things were not issues to me. You'll find that the only "negative" reviews about this place are really just people not being prepared. If you make necessary arrangements, then you'll find that this cabin stay is everything you need. I would definitely stay here again!
Overall a pleasant 4 day stay that met expectations
First Iâll start with the pros. Iâve been meaning to rent a place with a hot tub and a mountain view that I can just watch sunsets and sunrises and this cabin did not disappoint. We loved the view off the porch and spent a good amount of time just watching the cows, calfâs, donkey, chickens, and geese. On the porch was a hot tub that we spent a good amount of time relaxing in and either watching the sun setting on Green mountain or star gazing. Both the bed and couch were comfortable places to relax and the washer and dryer were quite convenient to reset our clean laundry for the next leg of our trip. The things we noted during our stay were that it became clear that the pics used to advertise the cabin that we ended up staying in was a combination of cabins. Best we could tell it was a blend of pictures from the larger cabin next door and some outside shots of the smaller cabin we ended up in. Next on the list was the stove and oven were smaller than normal and we were only able to get one of the coil burners to work. The one time we attempted to turn on the TV we couldnât get it to work despite following the posted directions. We arenât big tv watchers but I know some may find this to be more of an issue than others. On that note, there is no WiFi and cell signal is sparse so may not be a good option if you need to remain connected. There are also chores posted on the fridge to complete or be met with extra fees⊠in addition to the cleaning fees youâre paying already.
I was looking for a place to just unwind after a very chaotic few months, and this place was perfect for that! The area was nice and quiet and the hot tub was the perfect way to end the day. Itâs away from the fast pace of Gatlinburg, but close enough to travel into town to eat or explore. The fact that it is pet friendly was just an added bonus!
My boyfriend and I booked this trip almost two months before we went. We had absolutely no idea a winter storm was coming until the week before. We made it safely. Check in was easy. Property was as described. It turned out to be a magical trip due to the cabin and winter wonderland.
I spent the weekend there with my partner, and we had the most relaxing time! The cabin was cozy and had everything that we needed. We literally didn't leave it during our entire stay. If you want to get away from the world for a few days, this is the best place to do it!
If you want a pretty and cruvey hour drive to town, this is the place for you. It was just my husband and I for our anniversary. The place is very small. The one TV in the living room/dining room/ kitchen was so small we could not see. We are old (50's) but it was tough. The hot tub is not for more than 2 people or a heafty man. Was very thankful they had room spray, it was very musty. This is probably good for a young couple on a budget with no children.
