Beautiful apartment with great sunsets on the balcony. 25 minute or less walk to all the places to visit. Good Portuguese restaurants a few blocks away.
The property was clean and comfortable, Ana was very easy to communicate with, and I was able to walk to almost everything I wanted to see. The balcony was very nice for a glass of wine at the end of the night and the two doors in the main room offered a pleasant breeze. Ana leaves a good list of sites to see and restaurants to try so you won't be short of things to do while you're there.
Nice, quiet and well furnished apartment, tram and Metro nearby to easily and fast will take you anywhere in Lissabon. We've also had a very warm welcome from our host Ana, who gave us lots of information. All in all we enjoyed our stay and without doubt can recommend Charming Place for an exiting stay in Lissabon.
This is an amazing apartment in Lisbon with plenty of space. We loved the location and the balcony. Our only issue was the lack of AC with it being so hot while we were there, but fortunately there is a fan that helped significantly, especially at night. Definitely recommend staying here if visiting Lisbon.
The apartment was well looked after and we were received by the owner which I thought was a plus. The owner was a very nice lady who welcomed us in Lissabon. The apartment is on the first floor and there is no elevator. That did not bother us. The apartment is in a street where tram 28E has a stop. It is the most iconic tram in Lissabon. We had a good stay in this place.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. Ana was a delight to deal with and provided lots of information. We love that we were steps away from buses and trolleys that could take us anywhere in the city. We also liked having a grocery and laundry nearby. Highly recommend!
We had a lovley time in Lisbon. It took a bit of time to tell where we were located but once we did it was pretty easy to get around. Ana was so lovley helping us get in early, after a long flight fron Canada we really appreciated it! Thank you for letting us use your home!
Very clean ideal situation, great communications with Ana & well equipped.Information left was very helpful for restaurants etc.Only downside bedroom very hot no air conditioning. We would return but not in the high season.
Our hostess was very generous and let my friend check in early, which after a long set of flights from the west coast of the US was extremely welcome. The apartment itself was spacious and comfortable. The location was terrific, an easy walk from the Castello do St Jorge, and the main square down on the river. Many wonderful, affordable and tasty restaurants are close by. The lovely couple running the Nepalese restaurant across the street were so kind and the food was incredible! I'd recommend eating there at least once during your stay. I would happily stay here again and recommend that my friends should too.
Well situated apartment near all public transportation with bus and tram stops literally outside your door. Nice, quiet neighborhood in Graca, only minutes from all the activities in Lisbon. Somewhat outdated but great value.
Simon was gracious enough to let me check in early and check out late. Communication was immediate. The apartment itself was the most well equipped apartment I have stayed in in a long time. Seasonings, laundry detergent, the works. It even had some rice and chickpeas which were very much appreciated when I came down with a bad stomach virus and was not well enough to leave. The apartment itself is located on a bus and tram line and the metro is only a couple of blocks. It has fast internet for Zoom meetings. The neighborhood is very cute. Overall, would highly recommend!
The apartment was as pictured, but the pictures are old. In reality, the flat was a little tired and obviously has been well used. Kitchen was equipped, but only one kitchen towel and no paper napkins. Neighbourhood was convenient and lots of the tourist sites were in walking distance. As mentioned in other reviews, tub doesnât drain well. We were there in December and it was difficult to warm the apartments. There were two heaters but only one worked.
The apartment was super clean and Ana was a great host. She let us check in at 9AM and suggested we visit the local flea market, which we really enjoyed. There were some nice plazas nearby which we visited a few times, and there was a small pastry shop (Tebas) a block away where we had breakfast three times. Ana was totally cool with letting our small dog stay with us. Lisbon is an old city and has a bit of a gritty vibe, depending on where you stay. Local transportation was easily available. We used Uber, Bolt and the trolleys to get around. We also walked a lot. Sidewalks are narrow and cobblestones are not the easiest surfaces to walk on. All three of us were very happy with the apartment. It was a great bargain for the price. I would not call Graca an upscale neighborhood, but it was totally safe and close to all the major points of interest.
I loved this apartment. It has everything you need, I appreciate that they leave what others leave so finding contact solution in the cabinet was a lifesaver. Within three blocks in any direction was amazing food at incredible prices.
Now for what I didn't care for. Upon realizing their isn't air conditioning, I was happy to open the windows and doors that gives an amazing breeze and and is very comfortable. " But, the wind would slam the doors." I found myself using flip flops and anything else to prevent this from happening. In addition the bathtub doesn't drain. I suppose I could have called about that. Overall, NICE.
Communication for checkin was with 2 different people who did not talk to each other, so noone was there to give us the keys. There was no toilet paper in the house. I called to ask and no one answered or return my call, so we went out to buy it. Furniture is old, with chairs sagging, dirty cover on couch, the only good thing was the restaurant suggestion. No one bothered to put dishes back in cabinets. After looking everywhere in the cabinets we found the plates in the dishwasher. Overall dissatisfied.
