A superbly comfortable home with a large garden . Ideal location . We walked to Rock beach regularly and to the local bakers , pub fishmongers and butchers . Close to so many beautiful Cornish beaches and landmarks . Would highly recommend and definitely hope to return . Rock beach is just stunning and dog friendly all year round ⊠even in August sunshine there was ample space and everyone was so friendly . Communication with Derek was easy and everything was as listed .
The property location is perfect, walking distance to local pub,tap room and fish n chip shop. Short drive to polzeath beach and wadebridge. Ferry to padstow. The property is well enquiped, lots of space lovely garden. I scored 3 on cleanliness as their was dust under the beds and around furniture. I suspect the cleaners do not move anything.
Overall this house was great. There's a lovely back yard with outdoor furniture and BBQ. There's a line for clothes between two trees which we used a lot in the fantastic weather we had. The beds were all comfy, although we didn't use the bunk room, and having two bathrooms and a washing machine was a welcome relief for weary travellers such as ourselves. This house was in a quiet location which was fantastic for sleep. Bluntrock Brewery is a 5 minute walk away, as is the Pityme Inn. The only downside was that there was no starter pack of tea and coffee etc in the kitchen and only one and a half rolls of toilet paper between 2 bathrooms. Other than that, it was great and we would stay again.
The house ist well equipped with a beautiful garden. Don't miss the local pub. It's only a short walk away and it offers some nice food. A small supermarket and a bakery are close by and only a 2 min drive by car down the road to Rock.
Fantastic and spacious place to stay, close to pub and beach!
Sizeable, comfortable for 8 people and we even got 3 cars on the driveway! Very sociable space, kitchen with large island great for eating together and the garden with BBQ is a great addition.Dishwasher, washing machine and tumble drier meant we could travel light. Would recommend the Pityme Inn for a pint and just a five minute walk
We spent a few days with friends in this warm, welcoming and well equipped bungalow. Quiet neighbourhood, and really well placed for Rock, lovely local pub, ferry to Padstow and coastal path walks. The log burner was much appreciated. Would hope to go back.
The house was immaculate and bigger than it looked, great position for beaches and Rock and Padstow. Communication was great, beds comfortable and kitchen well equipped. Would definitely stay again.
beautiful house close to best parts of North Cornwall coast
The house was beutifully clean and really well equipped. It was in a quiet cul-de-sac less than 10 minutes drive from Daymer Bay and Polzeath. We could not fault it in any way.
The house was ideal for our needs for a 5 day break. Located in a small complex of bungalows, it is very quiet and residential but only a short walk to the nearest pub, baker, fishmonger, general store and butcher (and the Sharpeâs brewery for a beer or tour). The house is very well equipped if you choose to self cater and the living space was comfortable for the 3 of us and two medium dogs. The garden is a good size, south facing, and secluded but due to the weather we didnât make best use of it. Our host, Derek, was very quick to respond to questions.
In general the accommodation and garden Was comfortable and well situated. I found a couple of dog walks very close, and the beaches were we wanted were a short car journey. Prime pub and local shops easy walking distance. I think that if 8 adults had wanted to be seated in the lounge area all together that would have been a tight squeeze. The teenagers would have appreciated a bathroom bin apparently. And we couldnât find the linen bags. A very enjoyable week. Younger members loved coasteering from Port Gaverne.
This property was in a great location - we spent most of our stay at polzeath beach which was 2 miles away but some adults walked to it over the golf course- it was fabulous with surf waves but also amazing rockpools - just a brilliant beach - but also went to st mawes st ives and padstow
Property had great enclosed safe garden with good seating and bbq
Inside property was very well equipped - lots of hot water and two good showers - one over bath
The provision of a decent washing line would have saved the owner some elec costs as we had to use the tumble dryer more than would have liked
Local pub five mins walk did great food
Comunication with the owner was great too -
Would definitely return
Great location, walking distance from Rock and the local breweries. Comfortably catered for two families of four and a dog. The owner kindly allowed us to shift the booking by a day.
Enjoyed our stay, house was well appointed and quiet, with close proximity to local pub and shops and we really enjoyed it. Any criticisms Iâd say that itâd be good if there was extra wardrobe space, only one room out of three had a wardrobe. But because we were there with just our children wasnât too bad. All in all a good property.
Nice, tidy bungalow with enough space to fit 5 adults + 2 kids comfortably. All the facilities you need. The garden is good and private, and has a good BBQ.
Excellent base to explore the surrounding area, including beaches at Polzeath, Rock, Daymer
Lovely bungalow in a quiet cul-de-sac in village near the sea
Comfortable, spacious and well maintained bungalow with lots of interesting pictures and homely touches.
We had a slight problem as most of the bedrooms had not had beds made up and were missing towels, but this was quickly resolved.
My one criticism is that the unlined curtains let in too much early morning light.
A big garden with tables, chairs and bbq, though some of the garden furniture looked in need of a bit of tlc.
Perfect stay for our trip for a wedding. Comfortable, clean and fab space. Lots of room for 7 adults and so close to the beautiful Rock. Would love to come back for longer
The house was really roomy and had all the things we needed - plenty of cooking utilities and glasses, lovely big garden, ensuite with one of the rooms, hot electric showers, short walk from local pub and shop then a little futher a spar and butchers etc
Parking all day for ÂŁ3 near to the beach, after a short walk to the beach, the beach is lovely and there are a few bars
You can catch a ferry to padstow
We had a really great time
I worked in Gloucester as a dentist for the last 36 years ,now retired, and have been coming to Rock for holidays for even longer .My parents brought me to Cornwall for holidays and I have had many holidays here with my own children who are now grown up and left home.
Having had many happy holidays here with my children we hope you will have as much fun in Rock as we do.There is something here for everybody, sailing at Rock beach , windsurfing and sunbathing at Daymer bay, surfing at Polzeath, golf at St Enodoc or the Point. The Eden project 40 minute drive.
Modern well appointed bungalow in very quiet close ,close to the Point Golf club and Spa with indoor pool fitness gymn, tennis courts bar and restaurant looking down over Polzeath surfing beach.5 minutes walk to The Pityme Inn,5 minute drive or 25 minute walk to Padstow Rock ferry
