Our stay was very comfortable and relaxing. Condo was very clean. We had everything we needed in the condo including a lovely small pool just steps out the door. Neighbors are friendly. We felt very safe here. Location is great if you like to walk to restaurants or for groceries. Buses and taxis always available on the Main Street. Enjoyed our winter get away!
We really enjoyed our time there. Condo was very clean and nicely decorated. The patio was huge backing onto the golf course. Spent a lot of time in the pool where they had exercises every second day. The grounds are beautiful. Downtown is only a 20 minute walk and the grocery store (which is like a Superstore) is 20 minutes in the other direction. We golfed a lot. The owner was great to deal with. We will be back!
La Costa is a great complex. The unit was nice. It could have been cleaner. The TV didn't work and there were multiple remotes and no directions. A neighbour got the fire stick going so we could watch movies if we wanted and listen to music. The manager wasn't helpful though we appreciated the later check out. There was no information on local things to do, recommendations etc. Luckily we knew someone in the complex but if you didn't.......... A great holiday. The people are friendly and the pools are amazng. Enjoyed. Not sure if I would rent this unit again though.
We had a few issues, like the refrigerator breaking down and the toaster dying, but the owner and the management team were on it ASAP and had replaced them the next day. The management team are very accommodating and waited for us when our arrival was delayed and guided us to the condo when we got lost. As far as location goes, there are pros and cons. It is close to the beach and walking distance to the estuary, grocery shopping and old town San Jose del Cabo. Being close to the golf course was not a pro for us because you hear lawnmowers, golf carts on the gravel pathway and sprinklers early in the morning and late at night. I suppose that if you normally live in the city you might not find it noisy but we are from a very quiet area and we found it quite noisy there, not just because of the golf course but because there are sirens several times a day and night and the Rock and Brews pub is just down the road and they play loud rock and roll into the early hours of the morning. The beds and linens are very comfortable and good quality. The satellite TV reception is awful. The condo is supplied with almost everything that you might need.
A simple ground floor 2 bedroom condo fully equipped for your stay with all the basics. Location is walking distance to a lovely (non swimmable) beach, and a short Uber journey to a swimming beach. Walking distance to the old town for a multitude of restaurants and shops and the Thursday evening art walk. Walking distance to La Comer and Chedraui for groceries and beverages. Restaurants just steps away. 3 pools. Overlooking the golf course. The patio is large and private.
Enjoyed our month long stay.
Very centrally located. Clean complex and quiet. Every thing u need in the suite to cook and entertain with. Right on the golf course if you r a golfer. A lovely pool just steps from your unit and often not busy. I will return to this complex in the future.
Our stay at this condo was wonderful. Had everything we needed and a very comfy bed! A short walk to the beach, restaurants and shopping. Lots of taxis available on the street if you need one. Very friendly neighbours to say hello to and chat with. Always chairs available at the pools. The owner was quick to respond when we needed to contact him. Would definitely return!
The next door neighbor (#101) has an issue with renters and makes it known, she is a busy body and resident gossip who watches every move we made and was quick to remind us of the rules and there are lots. Otherwise it's a nice location, this time of year (Feb) the patio is cold as it doesn't get sun. The condo is well equipped. You will require a car to get to most places.
You have to buy all your detergents, toilet paper, water etc.
Excellent location but unlike all the other properties we have stayed, this one does not offer the basic needs. You have to shop for your own household needs which is quite bothersome if your schedule is quite hectic. We asked for a van to take us to the airport from the property manager but the van arrived an hour late that stressed all of us giving one of my friends just an extra hour to check in before her flight. That kind of experience we definitely should avoid.
This place is well appointed. Comfortable beds, cozy sofa. Nice linens and plenty of towels. Kitchen is full equipped with everything you can think of, except a blender. Large shaded deck. Friendly neighbours in a beautiful maintained condo complex..
Very enjoyable month here in San Jose at La Costa Phase 3. Love the quiet, the pools and hot tubs. One block to the 3 mile long beach which we love. Easy walk to old town fir dinners and the art walk. Great holiday. Weâd come back.
Excellent condo at La Costa with amazing patio and comfortable set up with nice interior. Overall great service and communication when we needed it. We were the first rental of the season so there were one or two things that were missing or needed attention but were addressed quickly. We would rent here again for sure.
The condo is located in a quiet corner of the development with one pool right outside your door and the main pool just a few steps away. The beach is a 5 minute walk, restaurants and shops are right there and the town square with its varied activities and many more shops and restaurants is a 20 minute walk. The location couldnât be better. The condo was immaculate and was the best organized of the many condos we have stayed in. Basic supplies (spices, condiments etc.) were a little sparse but grocery shopping is only a 15 minute walk away. The furnishings are great and the patio is amazing. We found Jaco to be very very responsive and great to deal with. We have already reserved with Jaco for our next stay in San Jose.

Condo is great
The condo is great, the patio is the best. The kitchen utensils, pots/pans, etc... are top notch. The only exception being that there are no spices or pantry items at all.
There is a bar nearby that is very, very loud at night. I mean til 4am music was blasting. Not sure if this is always the case.
We live in Terrace, British Columbia, Canada quite far north in the province. I'm a physician leader responsible for the treatment of cancer patients in a large geographical area, overseeing 9 cancer clinics and 17 physicians. My wife is a busy general practitioner. We're passionate about the outdoors in general and about the Southern Baja and San Jose in particular. We also believe in delivering quality products and integrity in our dealings with our guests.
We jumped at the opportunity when this condo became available during construction in 2007/2008. We've already fallen under the spell of the area with it's wonderful weather, people and diverse activities. The sense of safety and tranquility of San Jose is hard to beat and it's become our favourite destination. We can't help to return to the Baja even when we have other tropical destination alternatives. There are activities for everyone including swimming with dolphins, ziplining, whale watching, fishing, snorkelling and fine dining. All activities are also in close proximity and many activities can be booked through the Solaris Hotel just down the access road or booked on-line. Most of the La Costa condo owners are Canadians or Americans and are friendly, helpful and ready with good information.
The condo itself has a unique design as it's on the ground floor with a wide sweeping porch that can accommodate 2 sets of tables and chairs. It's nicely secluded as we only have a neighbour on one side. The rest of the condo is adjacent to the golf course and a beautiful cactus garden full of humming birds, orioles and doves early in the morning. The proximity of the Villa II swimming pool is very convenient and a popular alternative. This condo is quiet and peaceful because of the aforementioned reasons but also because it's shielded from traffic and main thoroughfares. The fishing in the Sea of Cortez is spectacular and the contentness we feel when barbecuing fresh yellowfin tuna on the porch with the sun going down over the San Jose hills is difficult to describe. The convenience of the ground floor and proximity to the parking lot are great bonuses of this unit. After leaving the quiet of Villa II the coffee shops, bars and restaurants of the Zona Hoteliera are literally a stone throw and 3 minutes away.
