Unité # 114 au Whaler à Kaanapali, Maui.
Récemment mis à niveau avec une magnifique nouvelle cuisine, y compris des comptoirs en granit, des armoires personnalisées, de nouveaux appareils électroménagers, un nouveau tapis moelleux et plus encore! Ce studio au rez-de-chaussée est trÚs bien situé. Il suffit d'ouvrir les portes de la véranda et de se promener sur l'herbe jusqu'à la plage, la piscine, les barbecues en bord de mer. L'appartement dispose d'un lit queen-size et d'un canapé-lit queen-size. L'unité est entiÚrement meublée avec tout ce dont vous aurez besoin, tout comme le confort de votre propre maison. Asseyez-vous sur la véranda et profitez des couchers de soleil spectaculaires sur l'eau hawaïenne bleu azur, ou promenez-vous le long de la promenade en bord de mer.

Le Whaler facture des frais de service de 25 $ / jour, mais le stationnement est maintenant gratuit!

Great vacation studio in Maui!

We just spent another 10 days at the Whalers Kaanapali. The studio is in a great location, steps from the ocean/beach, and Whalers Village. Beautiful location, the condo is great; everything works, and we can’t wait to go back!

We have stayed at The Whaler our last six visits to Maui. This was the first time on the ground floor and we loved it! We were very comfortable in this unit and liked the traditional Hawaiian decor. We would gladly stay again!

Busy Trip in Maui

The property was amazing. Exactly what I was looking for for my first Hawaii vacation. The location was right next door to a very nice outdoor mall. It was a bit of a tourist trap, but that was perfectly fine by me (I was a tourist after-all). The ammenities within walking distance were all top-notch, and the daily sun sets absolutely mesmerizing. This property and specifically this first floor room would be my first choice if/when I visit Maui again.

Love The Whaler!

We’ve stayed before. We love the ease of walking out the slider to the patio and then to the beach. This unit is also ideally located to elevator and garage parking. I greatly appreciated Mary reaching out to me when I left items behind; I was able to retrieve them before our airport run.

Great location

The condo is very outdated and kitchen appliances are very old. Coffee pot was dirty and moldy. Fortunately, lobby offers free coffee. Location is great.

Love Maui

We are active people love the boardwalk,beach,biking,swimming etc. We ride the public transportation and do not rent a car so a Condo is just right for the two of us! The grills are great for cooking and love the work out room. We dont like to be pampered the Whaler is a great get away for us!

Fantastic old Hawaii ground floor unit

This was perfect for us. Our grand kids were staying at the Westin, and they came over for breakfast most days. We loved the easy access to the ocean and grass area from the ground floor. Laundry, front door, and garage were also right outside our door. Would 100% return.

A condo is just right us two and sunsets and whales were fantastic. Restaurant’s and bars closing earlier then pre pandemic . You can’t be happy at Whaler nothing in your lifetime will make you happy!

Perfect Location

We have never stayed at the Whaler before and this was probably our favorite out of all the other properties we have stayed. Location is perfect. This is the only place that has a beach front pool/hot tub. So we were just in and out of the ocean/pool all week. It was fantastic! Right next to the Whalers Village for all the shops and restaurants. 5 minute walk to Black Rock. Condo itself quaint but perfect for a couple and has everything you need. I was skeptical about the ground floor location but it ended up being my favorite part! We will definitely be back!

The Virus left us with a sad feeling when we returned home. Residents and visitors were laboring!

Love the Whaler and the studio condo our 7th year at Larry’s! This year was tough. Restaurant’s, Bar’s,Shops,Hot tub,Fitness Center, etc closed-Flights changes,cancelled all due to Coronavirus! It overwhelmed all but we will all get through this and happiness will return to this happy island of Maui-Aloha

Great location - but needs updating

The price was good, but we were envious of other people's rooms that also stayed at the Whaler. The carpet needs a shampoo (or replaced), the wallpaper is peeling and repaired with tape. Looking around it looks like it may have flooded in years past. I left my laptop on the floor and when I picked it up in the morning it was full of ants.

You can’t go wrong staying here!

I hate leaving a good review selfishly because it will be booked more! Haha This condo felt very private when it really shouldn’t considering you’re in the crowded area of the Whaler/Kaanapali. Sitting on the ground level Lanai watching sunsets was perfection. It was clean and comfortable. If you’re looking for a 2022 modern remodel this isn’t for you. If you’re looking to walk out your door and be on one of the best beaches in the world, walk to restaurants/shops, then you will be 100% happy. The convenient location cannot be beat. We loved their oceanfront bbqs too. We hope to be guests here one day again. Mahalo!

Maui Happy

While the units was in need of updating, it had a 80's vibe and a little worn out the unit was clean and very well stocked with supplies or things you might want while there. The price was very reasonable as well. My main disappointment was that the bathtub and sink were backed up and I stood in water to my ankles whenever I showered. Also I thought the pictures on the website indicated the unit was on the inside looking out not the backside of the tower but not a big deal and we still got to view the ocean on the patio. Loved the area and proxcimity to everthing. Thank you

To make this short and sweet, this unit is absolutly perfect, prime location, well maintained, has everything you need. The Whaler itself is so perfectly placed that even without a car you would do just fine, snorkling all around you, and whalers village on your side, with shuttles to take you to Lahina, as well as the "Fancy hotels" all within walking distance if you are so inclined. The Whaler inself has parking( so theres fee, thats fairly standard in Maui), a spa, a gym, a nice pool and hot tub(open till 10).The unit itself ,which some would say is a little dated, was just fine, had everything we could think off and some stuff we couldn't. We could not have been happier. Thanks for everything Larry!

Excellent unit and property

Larry’s unit was everything we hoped it would be! We absolutely loved being in the ground level unit! It may be a bit dated, but who really comes to Maui to stay in the room? Only 150 feet and you’re in the water! And very close to the beachside bbq grills and pool. We have nothing negative to say, it was perfect! Bed was very comfortable and the pull out sofa couch was fine for our son. The condo had everything we needed to make meals as well which we did for 3-4 nights of our one week stay. In Maui it’s all about location, and ya can’t get much better than this unit for the price, just hope Larry is able to keep it affordable for some of us. We would not hesitate staying in his unit again in the future and most likely will
if it’s available!

Loved the ground floor unit at Kaanapali Beach

Have always loved the Kaanapali Beach, so was happy to find this ground floor unit. I read all the reviews (both good and not so good) so my expectations were not too high, I knew about the peeling wallpaper and had decided that was not going to be a huge deal but it would be nice if it was taken off and painted. The location is wonderful and with a little TLC it could be stellar! After reading about the soiled carpet I had thought it would have been cleaned by the time we arrived; it wasn't and I was surprised and disappointed as it's pretty bad. As a landlord myself I know carpet cleaning is an important and minor expense and can make a huge difference in impression of the residence! I also know the owner has had the same cleaning lady for years but the condo should be checked. Kitchen was nice and clean which is important, but there was hair in the bathtub from the last guests, and it could stand a through scrubbing, long hair on the floor and in the towels and there was unidentifiable yucky mess on the door trim in the bathroom. Just because I was going to be there for a week I went ahead and cleaned it so I wouldn't have to worry about touching it or seeing it!! I agree a little updating would be nice, but the furnishings were fine with me. The bed was clean and comfortable. I had read about the flat pillows and yes they were still there, but since I don't sleep well with flat pillows I just improvised and took the fluffy pillow out of the sham and put a clean pillowcase on it. Regarding the little extra effort to make this a higher rating, getting an inexpensive set of dishes that matched would be nice. As an example, we left Maui and stayed in a lovely ground floor condo on Kauai, with an ocean view, next to a beautiful well known, upscale resort. It was pristine, beautifully furnished, there was a welcome basket with coffee and macadamia nuts and was $5.00 less per day. As I stated it doesn't take a whole lot of expense to make a 5 star rating and I really would have loved to do that for our Maui experience.

Very Clean Cozy Convenient and Completely Efficient

We just returned from paradise! We can't wait for our next trip back! We stayed at Whalers which has been our go to place for our last 6 visits to Maui. Each time we have stayed in a different owners unit, this time it was unit #114 and our first time on the ground floor. We are spoiled now by the convenience of just walking off the lani to see the beautiful Maui sunsets or stroll on the beach. It's not for everyone, because you can only lock the lani from the inside, but with that said, we have never feared not locking and or sleeping with only the screen doors closed. You just have to be smart about it and where you leave your valuables. Now on to the condo, super clean and if you are going to be cooking the kitchen has everything you could possibly need! Plenty of space in the bathroom and closet, and on a personal note the tub is great for soaking! The bed was perfect! Comfortable! The only way it could have been better was if it were a King! But for 12 days it was fine. Now the pillows well let's just say they are flat and could be replaced, but again we were ok. The t.v. Isn't user friendly but we managed and truly how much tv do you watch when you're in paradise! I do think that if the wallpaper were stripped and the walls painted a light delicate blue or perhaps a light shade of green it would completely set things off! As far as the owner well I have nothing but complete praise for Larry! I added a day to my stay after original reservation was made and not only did he promptly get back to me he was very accommodating, answered emails within a short time. Thanks Larry! In short while we were there I did look at other condos for our next visit, thinking that perhaps we would get one with a bedroom but I have to say, I didn't find one that was so convenient and perfectly matched our needs so if this unit were available YES we would stay here again no hesitation! Close to the laundry in the hallway as well as the trash drop and elevators and yet you absolutely would not know they exist once you are inside! Hubby thought it was perfect so don't hesitate if you are looking for all these qualities in a unit, stay here and Aloha to coffee every morning on the lani! It's so very peaceful. Stunning Kā'anapali Beach location, ground level studio, shady & cool semi-private lanai overlooking side gardens only 100 yards or so from the high tide waterline! Complimentary parking: the most convenient is either of the 2 open air overflow lots just inside the gatehouse entry which puts one closest to an outside door to the building. Touchless card key entry to all secured areas of the property, including the gated pool. Amazing views of neighboring East Moloka'i across the channel from the lanai. Note: The complimentary parking does NOT include a 35/day resort fee. Aside from the ubiquitous Pacific Blue, the pool has the perfect temp for lap swimming, particularly right @ opening time each morning @ 0800 h before the resident crowd & before the sun shines directly into the water. Host Larry is highly attentive & welcomed my after-stay suggestions on how he might further enhance this unit another couple more notches. Shared laundry facilities are around the corner in the hall & are also complimetary. (Bring your preferred detergent, if no leftovers in the unit from previous renter.) Garbage chute opposite the laundry room & recycle bins can be found all over the property outside each building entrance. Hundreds of photo ops around the central gardens! You would be very fortunate to be Host Larry's guest here & during your stay to meet Karen @ the entry gatehouse, Mike, Rod, & Joyce @ the Front Desk, & Uncle Nathan, our Hawaiian cultural practitioner! When my father first visited The Whaler, he walked into an Open House and bought our lovely studio condo on the spot! We enjoy vacationing, and offering out our various properties to others around the world to enjoy as well!

The Whaler on Kaanapali Beach is a premier oceanfront location. Right in the middle of famed Kaanapali Beach, it's walking distance to just about anything you could ask for. The weather is great all year round, and the views are awesome. The ocean floor is smooth for swimming, and the people are friendly! And the ground floor location is so convenient!

We have an oceanfront swimming pool and new spa, as well as oceanfront gas BBQ grills for your use. There is a weight room, sauna and a nail/massage spa on property, as well as tennis courts. It sits right across the street from the Royal Kaanapali Golf Course, and directly next door to Whaler's Village, a shopping area with restaurants, and even a free Whaling Museum. Snorkeling is just a simple 5 minute walk up the beach to Black Rock where you can find colorful fish, sea turtles, and even an eel! You can para-sail, jet-ski, go for a sunset dinner cruise right off the beach. A quick drive up the road will bring you into historic Lahaina Town!
