Walking distance to the beach, as in, the beach access ramp is right there when you exit the building, which was definitely a plus for us. As someone who had never been to Tybee Island before, I wasn't aware that this wasn't near all the shops and restaurants, but there are still some really cool places to check out within walking distance. The "main area" to go on the island was only about a mile or so away, so it wasn't a deal breaker. The beach house is definitely dated but nice. It could use a couple of updates. One of the double bed mattresses was extremely concave and the other had a loud squeak to it with every movement the sleeping person made. The A/C units in the unit could also use some replacing, as they are very loud, so it's just something to be aware of if you are a light sleeper. The location was the selling factor for me, the space was large enough for two couples to be in comfortably, and it was a nice quiet area. Also, be aware that the outside area is for use by all of the units in the building - again, not a deal breaker by any means, but something to note.
