We stayed four nights and we had a great time in Lisboa. The flat is located perfectly in the Alfama district and you can walk pretty much everywhere. We enjoyed our stay. The check in process was easy and the contact with the manager was easy.
Everything was great and we loved being in Alfama district. It was a bit noisy but didn't detract from our stay. The owner provided very clear directions to find her place and was very pleasant when we met her at the outset of our stay.
The apartment was fine. Fortunately most of the time the elevator was available. The hours that were listed were not the same as the hours it was open. Other than that, no issues. We appreciated the fans as it was very warm during our visit
In the center of the most interesting part of Lisbon
Great location but the handy public elevator wasnât working. Suitcase shuffling as a single was a challenge. Using the stairs each day became easier and great exercise as I toured the city. Well worth it!!
We loved the easy access of the location and the calm, spacious, and simple atmosphere of the apartment. Monica was readily available to help us operate the key to the door, which was tricky and unfamiliar to us. I would definitely stay again.
Excellent location in Alfalma with access to so many restaurants and shops (of course it is in Alfalma).
Small living room with great view of port and very airy.
Kitchen is small but adequate with needed appliances. Bed is comfortable. The place is very clean and owner is very responsive.
Overall a very good experience and highly recommend it.
Thank you Monika, we LOVED our stay at your charming home in the heart of Alfama. The location was perfect and the riverviews were beautiful. We also slept very well on your comfortable beds. We hope to return. Obrigada!
A minor issue with the hot water heater. Host had a technician there the next day. In housing in a city that dates back millenia some problems should be expected. You could not ask for a better location or a more accommodating host.
Beautiful view of the rooftops of Alfama with the river's estuary in the distance, the colors of which change during the day. Comfortable bed, reliable Wifi, and excellent neighborhood with meandering paths that take you back in time. Mini-mercados and restaurants/bars that serve as live music venues featuring Fado abound.
I absolutely loved this apartment. The location was perfect, the view was beautiful, and even though I had a little bit of trouble finding it and getting into it- once you figure it out itâs easy! I highly recommend staying at Monicaâs apartment, Itâs very clean and organized, and as mentioned the location is one of the best parts! If I come back to Alfama I would definitely book this place again! âïžâïžâïžâïžâïž
The property is very well kept and has everything you would need for a short term stay. The location is really in the heart of Alfama and in such a cool location. You cannot access the property directly by car so that can create a bit of a challenge if you are travelling with heavy luggage, but we were travelling with carry on bags so it was not a problem for us. You want to be fit to get up and down the stairs, but it's definitely worth it.
Very good apartment situated in the heart of old town. My daughter and i were more than happy with our choice of stay and found Alfama the perfect location, full of charm and great place to explore beautiful lisbon. Monica and hugo were most helpful and kind. the view over the rooftops towards the river Tejo is stunning. Good places to eat everywhere. I have no hesitations in recommending Alfama hill as an ideal place to stay while in lisbon. Mark and Ella.
This apartment has wonderful views and is very quaint. Near a small food market, restaurants, and the metro. The landlady was very kind. Beware however, that Alfama is a pedestrian only area. Walking is the only way around, which I enjoyed, but with a suitcase is was a challenge. It was worth all those stairs. Kindly, Christine
We enjoyed our time in the heart of alfama. This place is not for the faint of heart as there are lots of stairs regardless of the direction you come from (up or down). The elevator suggested to get there is out of order (july w2023) and, according to a local, has been for over a month. Luckily we travel lightly.
We liked the narrow alleys and fado restaurants nearby. The place is old but what else could it be in that location? Great views.
