Appartement ensoleillé et confortable au cœur d'Alfama, les plus anciens quartiers les plus pittoresques du centre de Lisbonne.
L'appartement (32 m²) est au deuxième étage d'une maison typique d'Alfama du XVIIIe siècle. Il n'y a pas d'ascenseur.
Beaucoup de soleil le jour et frais pour dormir la nuit en été. 3 couchages. Récemment rénové avec un vieux style portugais. Un petit balcon donne sur les petites rues de ce vieux quartier.
Très pratique pour tous les sites. Il est à seulement 5 minutes à pied du Castelo Sao Jorge et à 3 minutes à pied du célèbre Feira da Ladra (marché aux puces), et à 3 minutes à pied du fleuve Tejo, avec des restaurants avec des sièges donnant sur le fleuve Tejo. Et, vous pouvez voyager autour de Lisbonne sur le ravissant et pittoresque tramway électrique n ° 28 qui se trouve à 1 minute à pied de l'appartement. Il se trouve à 5 minutes à pied de la nouvelle station de métro de Sta. Gare d'Apolonia. (Terminal principal de Lisbonne) Dans la gare est un supermarché Pingo Doce ouvert jusqu'à 22h, très pratique!
Le stationnement à Alfama (mon quartier) est limité aux résidents qui possèdent des voitures. Il n'y a donc pas de parking pour les clients. Il y a plusieurs parkings publics à proximité - environ 5 minutes à pied
Le quartier regorge de nombreuses maisons de fado authentiques, du musée du fado, de cafés et de restaurants. Alfama est la partie la plus ancienne de la ville avec de petites rues à découvrir.
L'appartement peut accueillir 3 personnes au total. Dispose d'une excellente connexion Wi-Fi. Il comprend une petite chambre séparée avec un lit double (pour 2 personnes), un salon ensoleillé avec un canapé-lit double et une table à manger. Une cuisine complète avec cafetières, cuisinière à gaz, micro-ondes, réfrigérateur, grille-pain, lave-linge, bouilloire électrique. (pas de four)
L'apt. est équipé de la télévision par câble (anglais + français, CNN, BBC, portugais et d'autres langues et de nombreuses chaînes de cinéma). Une salle de bain complète avec douche. Sèche-cheveux.

** Pour les personnes "extrêmement hautes", sachez que les plafonds ne sont pas très hauts dans la salle de bain et la cuisine. Cela pourrait être gênant.

En hiver, l'appartement est chauffé avec des radiateurs électriques et il y a des ventilateurs pour le refroidissement d'été. J'ai un gestionnaire très responsable qui est là pour vous aider en cas de problème ou de question.
Draps, serviettes, savon liquide pour les mains et gel de bain.
(Si vous avez un savon spécial, apportez-le et d'autres articles de toilette - vous pouvez également acheter la plupart des choses dans les magasins locaux)

Great location!

Very clean. Perfect for the two of us. Ellie is a great hostess and very communicative. The narrow stairs are well lit for carrying up your suitcase. The window locations and fans cooled the rooms down nicely for sleeping. Kitchen seemed to be well stocked, we used the fridge to keep water cold, but otherwise ate out. We loved this location. We explored the city by foot, tram and metro. Great restaurants, markets and views all around. We would definitely stay here again.

Ellie's apartment was clean, comfortable, in a fantastic location. Ellie was an excellent host, and went above and beyond the norm, she asked and listened to my plans and was very helpful in her directions and recommendation. If you want a taste of Lisbon history, this is an excellent place to stay.

Vibrant and full of life!

The Alfama is legendary and what way to experience this vibrancy other than staying in the heart of it?Ellie was a very gracious host making sure that we were comfortable and happy. The accommodation was exactly as advertised. The stairs are not for the faint of heart but the owner makes that very clear before hand. The neighborhood can be a little noisy but it was an Easter long weekend so that also is to be expected. I would stay there again - absolutely! Thank you, Ellie!

Perfect holiday home in old town of Lisbon

We enjoyed recovering in the cosy flat after walking through the wonderful city all day long. Quiet as the street is too narrow for cars. Close to a popular view point, many sights and to means of public transport. Ellie is a perfect, warm-hearted host who is extremely helpful before and during the holiday.

Wonderful stay in Alfama

Fabulous location and atmosphere in ancient Alfama. Good restaurants, including a nice Fado place, excellent transportation access. A great place to stay for an authentic Lisbon experience in a very old part of town full of character.

Lovely host, communicative and open. Excellent location in the Alfama district of Lisbon. Kitchen very well equipped with a lot of cooking utensils and the basics. Bathroom well equipped, clean and with a lot of towels. We recommend to park your car at the cruise terminal (using telpark, for 8 euros per day) and to take a bolt cab (4-6 euros) to the flat. Great Alfama Location

Located on the second floor of an old Alfama building, this is a great location to experience a real Portuguese neighbourhood. It is also close to the rail/bus/tram routes which makes it a great base to explore. Ellie was a great host and we loved staying there. Thanks for everything!

Amazing location and lovely host!!

My friend and I stayed in Lisbon for the first time and this apartment is the ideal location! It is very walkable with many restaurants around and close to the city. Metro and buses are also an easy walk away from the apartment. Ellie was an amazing host with great communication and the check in process was very easy. She was also very helpful with letting us know things about transportation and the city of Lisbon. Would highly recommend staying here!

Great, quaint Portuguese property set in historic centre of Alfama. Beautiful cobbled streets which can be slippery. Beautiful city. Lots to do and see. Host was excellent.

wonderful place to stay

Ellie is an extremely gracious host and did her best to be flexible to accommodate me. Slight mix-up at check in because I didn't get data in timely fashion (carrier's issue). Very accurate description of the location and hilly nature - if you are fit, is quite easy to navigate to use subway system.

A beautiful apartment in Alfama

I had a wonderful time staying at Elli’s apartment in Alfama. It was very clean and Elli was a wonderful host, giving suggestions on restaurants and things to do! It was really easy to get around on foot from the apartment as center city Lisbon is about a ten minute walk away! All in all, a wonderful experience and I would definitely stay again!

Cozy Apartment in a Great Location

We stayed here four nights - it was a great location. There were many restaurants very close by. We went to hear musicians singing Fado and playing guitars right in the neighborhood. Ellie was great - she answered all our emails promptly, met us at the apartment, and gave us good recommendations. We had a wonderful time!

Great location as a base to explore Lisbon.

Nice tidy suite in the heart of one of Lisbon’s oldest nieghbourhoods. Close to the excellent Lisbon Metro as well as regional trains. Ellie was a gracious and very helpful host who always had time to answer our questions, and with advice and direction on places we wanted to visit. Highly recommended. This is a hilly neighbourhood and we definitely managed to get our exercise during our stay.

In Alfama you'll see and experience the traditions of Portugal. The apartment was clean and Eli was quick to respond to our needs and any questions. Would definitely recommend especially if you want to experience the traditional Portugal.

Great location. Loved Old Lisbon.

Location was perfect. Walkable distance from everything in Old Lisbon. Ellie was very thorough and informative and was easy to communicate with. The apartment is very cute, simple, and “old”, on the second floor, be sure you can walk up and down stairs. The trolleys came in handy to check out other areas and Uber is fast, easy, and inexpensive to/from almost everywhere. Highly recommended.

Small but Inviting

We loved the location. Ellie met us down the road from the apartment, where the taxi dropped us off for check-in. The apartment had everything we needed and more. We used the small market, that is just steps away, the first night for some basics. We ate at several of the small outdoor restaurants in the neighborhood. Yes, the stairs are narrow and delicate because of their age but this is a treasure we will always remember. We would love to stay again.

Alfama

Cute apartment in an older building. We were there during a hot spell and a/c would have been nice as the fans could not cool down the bedroom. Perhaps not for the infirm as the two flghts of stairs are quite steep. Alfama is a wonderful area with many attractions. Uber is fast and plentiful. All in all, we had a pleasant experience.

Quaint and Comfortable

The apartment is in an old building in the Alfama district, close to Santa Apolonia Station, and Ellie met us in the street nearby to take us to it. It is light and airy, with three good size windows overlooking a small Placa. It is very comfortable, with a good size well-equipped kitchen and modern bathroom. Two small mini-markets are very close by. Ellie is a great communicator and took time to show us around the apartment and point out some of the important aspects. We had a great time staying there and can highly reconmment it.

Only young people should stay here

Beds were not comfortable, no closets to put away clothes, stairs were dangerous, this apartment is more suitable to only 1 or 2 young people. Hot water was very finicky . No couch or place to sit as the futon was made into a bed. Great location and host was in communique as she lives in the same apartment complex. Neighborhood was noisy.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Lisbon is a very charming old world city. It has lots of outdoor cafes on every street. The art, music and food of Portugal is found in abundance in Lisbon, the capital. I chose the Alfama neighborhood because of its ancient feel, tiny streets with very few cars, people who have lived there for many generations keeping their old traditions. You are in the city and at the same time in a tiny village with an atmosphere of another time. I am a painter and find the city beautiful and inspiring.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

The apartment is 10 minute walk to the downtown center, a 3 minute walk to the River Tejo, the large river that runs through Lisbon to the Atlantic. It is a short trip to Estoril beaches by public transport. The # 28 Electrico (tram) which is one minute walk from the door, takes you on an enchanting ride through the tiny streets and hills across Lisbon. You don't need a car in Lisbon, public transport and taxis are very abundant and not expensive. Lisbon is a 'secret' city that lives on it's own time. Portuguese people revere their quality of life, which I have found emphasizes eating good fresh food (excellent fish) and drinking the wines of the country, which is another wonderful discovery.
