Idéalement situé face au fleuve, au cœur du site de l'UNESCO et du quartier des antiquaires, dans un immeuble de 1793 entièrement rénové en 2013, au 4ème étage avec ascenseur privatif, un appartement (100m²) de deux chambres, grand séjour, chaleureux et raffiné, très lumineux, calme, avec terrasse offrant une vue panoramique à 180° sur la ville et le fleuve, pouvant recevoir jusqu'à cinq personnes.

Office du tourisme, nombreux restaurants, tous commerces et services à proximité immédiate, tramway au pied de l’immeuble. Principaux centres d’intérêt touristique accessibles à pied.

Excellent apartment close to tram and restaurants

It is a beautiful apartment with plenty of space. Very well stocked with anything you may need or have forgotten. Lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. The view of the river from the terrace is spectacular.

Exceptional Stay in Bordeaux

Needed a place to stay between trips. What a find. Spacious, had all the appliances we needed (including washer and dryer), roomy bathroom, overlooked the Garonne River. and was located amongst lots of restaurants and shops. Even had a nearby tram stop. Additionally, our host went out of her way to make us comfortable with the features of the apartment and answer our questions about Bordeaux. Superb!

Great location and great view

The host is very nice to help us since the moment we checked in. She responded quickly and make our stay worry free. The apartment is in the great neighborhood, Chartrons and very close (walking distance) to the downtown. We love our stay!

Lovely location

The apartment was nicely located to walk to the sights we wanted to see in the city. The host of the property is extremely organized regarding local interests, food and wine. She has everything very nicely organized in the apartment and is easy to contact. The home is very clean and comfortable making it a nice stop in Bordeaux.

Outstanding View and Exceptional Host

The apartment is right on the river with a wonderful rooftop view. It's in a perfect spot in the heart of Bordeaux. There are restaurants, historic sites, and shopping all within easy walking distance. The host provided a wonderful information booklet in both French and English. She gave us a wonderful introduction to the room, the amenities and the city. She was a very warm and helpful person and was incredibly helpful with every aspect of our visit. We absolutely recommend the accommodations and the host. She truly is a Super Host.

Superb!

If you are going to Bordeaux this is the apartment to stay in. We were there for 7 days so seen most areas of the city and this was in the best location, not too far from the Centre and there is a lovely square just behind with lots of restaurants. The apartment has beautiful views of the river, cannot fault it and am currently recommending to friends. Berenice is a great host and the apartment was spotless, comfortable and large. If only all holidays lets could be like this!

We had a wonderful stay at Bérénice's apartment. She was a terrific host and even gave us recommendations for the next part of our trip in Pay Basque. The apartment is clean, spacious, and in a terrific location near the tram and lots of restaurants. Highly recommend.

An amazing apartment

What a fabulous place - it's even better than we imagined. Spotlessly clean and comfortable, wonderful views, quiet yet close to everything. The attention to detail is incredible - including the different coloured towels so each guest knows which is theirs. Berenice provides great information on what to do and communication was fast and clear. It really is a luxurious place and we can't wait to return.

Our 5 night stay in this apartment has been wonderful! We cannot fault a thing! Super comfy, clean beds. Very spacious, well appointed apartment with everything you need to feel as if you have your “home away from home” in Bordeaux! Lovely view of the river and city from the rooftop balcony. Berenice is easy to communicate with for all aspects of your stay and a welcoming host! 100% recommend her lovely apartment for your stay in Bordeaux.

Beautiful view, comfortable stay

Berenice and her staff were very nice and graciously welcomed us to their beautiful apartment. The terrace has a gorgeous view of Bordeaux. The apartment is very comfortable. (Save the four floor walk-up - HOWEVER, good exercise after all of the delicious food and wine we consumed.) It was a very hot week, but every room is very nicely cooled with multiple, quiet AC units. We slept well. The location is spectacular. Everything is walking distance. Behind the apartment is Saint Louis-Des-Chartrons and a quiet square with a delicious collection of boulangerie, cafes and restaurants. Highly recommended.

Beautiful Apartment in Bordeaux

My husband and I stayed in Bérénice's beautiful apartment in April for 4 nights. We fell in love with the place as soon as we walked inside. You can not go wrong staying here. Berenice and her husband are wonderful hosts and made our stay in Bordeaux amazing. I just wish that we had been able to stay longer. I look forward to someday coming back and sharing this wonderful apartment and city with family or friends. The views were amazing and their are many restaurants close by. We ate every evening meal downstairs at the first place as you walk out the doors. We walked everywhere we went and we were out many nights past midnight and never once did we feel uncomfortable in this beautiful city. The proximity to the river for walking or running is great. Do yourself a favor and book this apartment just make sure that you stay during the time that they have the market. Berenice was such a pleasure to work with both before, during and after our trip I hope to return to Bordeaux soon it was a highlight of our 6 week trip to France.

A very nice apartment but with obstructed terrace views

The main reason we selected this property for our stay was the `terrace with a view`. However this wonderful view from the terrace or inside the apartment is only visible if standing up as there is a one metre high wall on all sides of the terrace. If sitting at the small table or loungers provided on the terrace then all that you will see is the wall, very dissapointing indeed & this should have been made more clear in the property description. The apartment itself is very spacious, comfortable, & ideally located. The parking in the garage is a little tricky to access other than for a small car. On the final Sunday of our stay we decided to buy some items from the market in front of the apartment & cook an evening meal, but found that the kitchen hob did not work & had to waste the food purchased.

A Jewel on the Garonne

Perched high above the Garonne shortly before it flows into the Atlantic, Bernice's apartment is an absolute joy. Beautifully furnished and impeccably clean one settles in easily and begins to uncover the wonders of the often underappreciated city of Bordeaux. The only drawback to the apartment is that it is so comfortable and the views so spectacular that very often one does not want venture out. A stone's through from the tram and an easy walk to the center of the city, the apartment has comfortable beds, a huge modern bathroom, a large dining table and a lovely well equipped kitchen. There are many food stores and restaurants within a ten minute walk. Added to this is the owner, Bernice, who is the epitome of Gallic charm and can't do enough for her guests. At the risk of being redundant, I will not repeat what all the other reviewers have posted. I will simply say je suis d'accord . Merci Bernice for an absolutely wonderful 10 day visit. It was not long enough and we will be back.

Gorgeous on the Garonne

This was our second stay in Bernice and Georges' absolutely gorgeous apartment overlooking the Garonne River. As with the first time two years ago, our 9 day stay was perfect. Perched high above the Garonne shortly before it flows into the Atlantic, the apartment is perfect for anyone who wants to either while away the hours watching the river traffic from the huge balcony or plunge right in to the exciting city of Bordeaux by hopping on the tram (which is only a few steps away from the apartment ) or walking along that same river. The apartment, located in the now very trendy Chartrons District, is beautifully furnished and impeccably clean with lightening fast internet,a huge modern bathroom with separate toilet compartment, a large dining table and a lovely well equipped kitchen. Include the added bonuses of a washer/dryer combination and air conditioning in every room and you have perfection. Bernice, who is the epitome of Gallic charm, can't do enough for her guests. She has stocked the apartment with guidebooks and maps to make exploring Bordeaux easy. At the risk of being redundant, I will not repeat what all the other reviewers have posted. I will simply say je suis d'accord . Merci Bernice and Georges for an absolutely wonderful second visit. As we said before, we will be back.

"Winter" in Bordeaux

My fiancee' is French and I am American. Every December, we choose a new place to visit and spend time together. Neither of us had ever been to the city and area before, and, like we always do, look to VRBO to find an apartment to suit our needs. My lady found this wonderful property and we were excited by the photos. It ended up being the best experience that we've ever had with VRBO; on either side of the Atlantic! The view from the front balcony was just like in the first photo! The apartment was large, beautifully decorated, and filled with comfortable furniture. Although the mattresses were not "plush" like this American is used to, they were still very comfortable and I had no trouble sleeping. This was mostly due to the fact that it was SO QUIET at night! The location is REALLY great; in the heart of the city. One tram line runs right along the river; with stops a couple minutes walk from the apartment. A small elevator, installed by the owners, saves a lot of stair climbing! Berenice and Georges, who lived in the apartment just below us, were the BEST hosts; even inviting us to their place one evening for wine and conversation. Berenice is so attentive to making everything in the apartment nice, attractive, and comfortable. They were very sweet and the whole experience makes us want to return in 2017! :)

Lovely apartment with a perfect location!

My husband and I just completed a two week stay in this gem of an apartment in Bordeaux. It is exactly as photos show and owners describe. The apartment is perfectly located with spectacular views from the terrace of Historic Bordeaux and the river Garonne. Just across the street is a promenade that is a great walking or bike path along the river. To the immediate south is the beautiful old city center and to the north, a pleasant stroll away, newer shopping, cafes and the recently built museum Cite' de Vin. Bordeaux has so much to offer, bike paths by the river and throughout the city, boat tours, Unesco Historic city center, wonderful wine tours, its own excellent ballet and opera companys. The highlight for me was the fantastic open market just across the street from the apartment every Sunday and a smaller one on Thursdays. Whether one is a cook or not, this market is not to be missed. There are wonderful prepared foods as rotisserie chicken ( the best I have ever had) , pork , fresh oysters, wonderful smoked salmon, paella , risotto , breads, cheeses, terrines, pastry and breads. There are folks from their own local vineyards selling lovely wines and stalls selling organic vegetables and fruits. Everyone there was very kind and helpful. Just a couple blocks behind the apartment is the wonderful Norte Dame area, there are many good restaunts and shops where there are more locals and very few tourists When we come back to Bordeaux, we will book again and I would not hesitate to reccomend this apartment to a friend. There is piece of mind knowing the owner is nearby and speaks perfect English . Bernice, the owner, was very welcoming and helpful but we were so busy seeing and doing that we actually only saw her when she welcomed us and again at the end to say goodbye.

Probably the best apartment I have stayed in.

Four of us booked a 3 night stay in Bordeaux at this lovely apartment. To be honest 3 nights was not really enough as Bordeaux is a lovely city, with lots of great bars and restaurants and plenty to see. The apartment is on the 4th floor of a very well renovated house on the Quai Des Chartrons, and has a great view looking out onto the river. There is a balcony with tables and chairs, where you can sit out on a warm evening and enjoy a glass of wine or two. The apartment is tastefully decorated and very well equipped, and the owner ,Berenice, speaks perfect English, and is happy to help with any queries - plus there she has provided loads of written information. Both bedrooms are of a good size, one with a double bed, and one with 3 singles. (The only thing I would improve is to add a mirror in the double room - seemed strange to have a dressing table but no mirror ?). The lounge dinner is spacious and well equipped, the kitchen has a hob, an a combination microwave and oven (we didn't try this, but it looked like new, with instructions in English), there was a coffee maker, cafetiere - in fact pretty much everything you could want. Very comfortable settee and chairs in the lounge, CD player, but no DVD player. There is a market every Sunday morning directly opposite the apartment which has a fantastic array of fresh foods, crafts, etc. Public transport is good, with a tram line station very close to the apartment, and 1.50 Euros buys you one hours travel on the trams, buses or water bus. To be honest we walked most of the time, as it was the best way to see the city, but I would recommend if you do walk to the other end of the city, to get the water bus back as it gives you some great views. Apartment is very secure, a fob for the front door, a code for the lift and a separate key for the apartment door, plus a another fob for the gate on the stairs. There are a couple of reasonable bar/restaurants just a few yards from the apartment, and loads more within a 5 minute walk. If you are looking for a 2 bedroom apartment in Bordeaux - this is the one to book

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

A Bordeaux, peu d'appartements possèdent une vue panoramique à 180° sur le fleuve avec une terrasse au dernier étage et, en même temps, sur l'arrière, la vue dominante sur les toits anciens des fenêtres des chambres. Le calme est absolu et pourtant l'animation des quais et du centre-ville, ses monuments, ses restaurants, ses commerces, ses distractions vous attendent au pied de l'immeuble.
