Une maison artistique et confortable de deux chambres et deux cabines de couchage, nous étions une vedette de la récente tournée Parade of Homes. Nous sommes situés au bout d'un chemin de terre et nichés dans cinq hectares de paysage rocheux surréaliste. Nous sommes également à proximité de l'entrée du parc et de Pappy & Harriet's. Sur le porche arrière, il y a 200 acres de désert aux allures de parc à explorer. Chargé de fonctionnalités et de belles touches, et. . . l'expérience de spa la plus sublime dans le haut désert!

Amazing stay!

Wonderful place to stay close to the national park, though one could spend days just enjoying and exploring the property itself. The property around the house provides accessible hikes with breathtaking views and the property grounds and home are full of unique touches

Starry Eyed Surprise

Stunning property and perfect vibey comfortable house for my group of friends. The star-gazing hot tub is next level amazing. Loved the swinging bed, boulders everywhere, and privacy with views.

Awesome Family Time!

Memorable stay with our family! Great location and beautiful grounds! The house was very clean, and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and grill. We had no issues what so ever with check-in, it went very smoothly John is a great communicator, instructions were easy to follow. We were very happy with our stay, we felt as though we were secluded and in the wilderness surrounded by boulders and wildlife. The locations of hot tub & cowboy tub felt very intimate for a relaxing time. Our family enjoyed the house so much we will return next year. Thank you John for your recommendations and suggestions

Wonderful Retreat

Lovely property with a comfortable and friendly space. Worked qell fpr two small kids and adults who wanted to soak up the desert. Sunrise thrpugh the master window is great. Cannot recommend enough.

Perfect Joshua Tree Getaway for the Family

We all loved our stay at Sweet Rock Ranch. Perfect relaxing getaway. Host paid amazing attention to details with everything labeled and great instructions for enjoying all aspects of the property. Great place to connect with nature and enjoy the beauty of Yucca Valley.

Exceptional setting, inside and out

This is a gorgeous house in spectacular desert setting. We watched the sunset and star gazed from the hot tub. The layout of rooms--with an extra small detached bedroom--was perfect for our all-grown-up family. We all like to cook and the kitchen was well-appointed. (It is the best-labeled kitchen of any VRBO we've ever stayed in!) The living room is welcoming, with a modern brick fireplace (bring your own logs). The bathrooms are small but very functional. All around a well cared for and beautiful home away from home!

Amazing desert home

Sweet Rock Ranch is incredible! From the decor to the location to the amenities you could not ask for a better vacation home near Joshua Tree. We especially enjoyed watching the birds at the feeder while we drank our morning coffee on the porch. Can’t wait to come back!!

Gorgeous Property and Home

John & Deva’s home is beautiful, and the property itself is unbelievably gorgeous with all the large boulders, amenities, and wildlife. John and Deva were great at communicating and made sure we had everything we needed, and made sure everything was going well for us. I would highly recommend staying here with them. I will for sure stay again if I am ever back in the area!

Everything one could want in the desert

One of my favorite places I’ve ever stayed in! The home and surrounding boulder wonderland literally had everything and anything our group ever looked for or desired and from start to finish all communication and movement was easy and pleasant. Will definitely be coming back

Great property! Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful trip to Joshua Tree and stayed at Sweet Rock Ranch. We had a group of 8 of us and the property was great with accomodating a large group. It was very nice to just relax at the property when we weren't out hiking. John was proactive and available when needed with any questions or concerns. I would highly recommend!

Beautiful Getaway

The property and location are fantastic! Lots of great outdoor areas to hang out- hot tub, fire pit, great back porch, yoga deck, etc. you can go for a hike right out the back door! Well stocked kitchen and super comfy house. Love all of the art work in and around the house. It’s very close to the park’s west entrance, grocery store, and JT. John and Deva were extremely helpful and responsive. I plan to stay there again soon.

Perfect

Sweet Rock Ranch was perfect for our small (9 person) family reunion! I think that it was the high light of our trip! The sunrise, sunsets and everything in between were beautiful. I loved being surrounded by desert and in a secluded location where we could enjoy the silence, the stars and the wildlife. We would definitely return and recommend it highly to others.

amazing weekend

we’ve been doing an annual friends weekend for almost a decade. this was our best one yet! the pictures don’t do justice to the amazing beauty of the surrounding property. the house and its amenities are exceptionally well designed, with cozy spots for coming together as well as many different areas to explore for smaller groups. the outdoor bed was a particular highlight, but so were the record collection and the hot tub. everything is very well labeled, explained, and maintained. thanks for helping make our annual weekend extra special this time around—

Amazing!!!

I recently had the most incredible stay at an VRBO that I will never forget. The highlight of the property was the outdoor bed, which was perfect for stargazing. The mattress was so comfortable and I fell asleep under the twinkling night sky feeling like I was in a dream. The property itself was absolutely stunning, with beautiful Joshua trees and a peaceful atmosphere. I loved exploring the grounds and taking in the natural beauty that surrounded me. One of my favorite features was the cowboy tub, where I spent hours relaxing and enjoying the sunshine. The hosts were so welcoming and made me feel right at home. They were friendly and were very communicative The attention to detail in the design of the property was truly impressive and added an extra touch of grandour to my stay. I cannot recommend this VRBO enough. If you're looking for a unique and unforgettable experience, look no further than this beautiful property. I will definitely be returning in the future.

Wonderful hide-away near Joshua Tree NP

Our three generation family greatly loved spending time at Sweet Rock Ranch. There was plenty of space to spread out (two out-buildings - the kids slept in one and used the other as their "Play House"). Peaceful outdoor environment, with an active bird feeder, hot tub nestled in the rocks, COLD cowboy tub, and an outdoor hanging bed. It was easy to make ourselves at home here - and use the kitchen for communally prepared meals. Some may consider cold weather a problem, but the kids loved that it was snowing -- and we all enjoyed hot-tubbing as the snow fell. It's close enough to the West entrance of JTNP - and we headed there for hiking three times during our 6 night stay. The owner provided great information about the area - and communicated quickly and was extremely helpful when the hot tub had lost power after extreme winds one night. We'll be recommending this spot to our friends.

Perfect Desert Experience!

This property is as dreamy as it looks! We had been to Joshua Tree NP before, but my son's cousins (age 10, 7 and 2.5) had not. We had a great day in the park, but we all agreed that we had an even better time exploring trails and bouldering in the property that extends out from this rental, which we spent several days doing. It was absolutely magical and imaginations were on fire! We plan to be back, and next time I don't think we will even venture into JT. As for the property itself, everything is very thought out and intentional. We really admired John's nail art, the cork baseboards in the kitchen, the mural on the garage, etc. We passed the guitar around one night, listened to lots of records (record player is a great touch), sat in the hot tub, enjoyed the day bed, watched all the wildlife, including the many many birds...it was a place where many memories were made and we will be talking about our stay there for years to come. Can't wait to come back! Thank you John and Deva for an incredible stay!

Beautiful Ranch

My spouse and I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful desert ranch. The home was comfortable, well appointed and filled with thoughtful touches. The property is a private desert oasis. We really enjoyed the many birds and rabbits that visit the back porch.

As longtime desert enthusiasts, we have stayed at many rentals in the area and noted the many things that we appreciate in a good rental experience. After an extensive search, we found this uniquely wonderful property and spent two years customizing every detail in order to create what is now one of the best rental properties in the entire high desert.

The house was recently remodeled comfortably rustic, with a nice representation of work from local artists. Loaded with amenities and guest features, including a fully equipped new kitchen, wi-fi, a desert library, vinyl collection & player, games & dvds - and the most sublime hot tub experience in the high desert!

Every window on the property has a view to other-worldly ancient rock formations.

There are both gas and charcoal BBQs, for your grilling preference.

The main house has central AC & heat, plus an evaporative (swamp) cooler. There are efficient air/heat units in both of the cabins.

The Lookout Lounge has a propane fire table and very cozy seating.
