Everything about our stay at Pearls Beach House was fantastic for our family. The location and scenery was perfect. We had six in our group. We were all very comfortable. Two thumbs up!!
I LOVE this home. My second stay. Itâs exactly what we were looking for â quaint, quiet cottage where sâmores are a plenty in the fire pit out back and the views of Mount Ranier are majestic. Itâs walking distance to the Gazzam Forestâ the forest of your dreams. I cannot wait to come back!
We have experienced many short term rentals but this one was wonderful!!! The setting, views, proximity to restaurants, shops, farmers market, everything! Comfy beds, plenty of towels and kitchen amenities. We loved our time at Pearls and are planning to visit again!
Beautiful Clean As Good as the Pictures GORGEOUS VIEW
We thoroughly enjoyed our week, which went too fast. Pearl's Cabin lives up to the pictures...and more. Great "support stuff" like condiments, shampoo, paper towels and such. My bed was so comfortable!
Great location and house has everything you need except privacy. Our stay was lovely and we would consider going again. Great morning sun and afternoon shade right in the beach with an incredible deck. The bedrooms provide almost no privacy though just beware of that. The only private bedroom is the very small room with the bunk beds. The other two rooms are literally open to the rest of the house (which is an odd design). The AC was great to have and much needed for 90 degree days. Would recommend for a couple or a small family that doesnât need or want privacy.
We loved the view from the back of Pearl's - Mt Rainier was visible several days (some smoke) / loved watching the ferries go by / saw eagles, coots, ducks, paddle boarders. House is close to Pleasant Beach, we ate @ Dock's twice (right on the water - go before the ferry visitors arrive) & we had good sandwiches @ The Marketplace Cafe (sat under the umbrellas outside) - especially the Brie & fig or Reuben. We listened to live music @ Eagle Harbor Winery on a Sunday afternoon and we went back on a Wednesday for a tasting (FYI = it's in an industrial park). Be sure to go to the Japanese American Exclusion Memorial - thoughtfully done and for fun see the giant gnome. Town & Country Market is great! We had a car - we arrived via the Narrows Bridge (DFW to Sea-Tac thru Tacoma) and left Bainbridge Island via the 35 minute ferry to Seattle to Sea-Tac heading home - arrive early to the ferry!
Our family felt so much at home in Pearl's Cabin that no one wanted to leave to explore the area! It really exceeded expectations -- let me count the ways. Unlike many oceanfront properties, no steps from car to cabin and then very flat down to the water. The inlet is so protected that it's like being on a lake, not ocean. View of Mt Rainier every day but one. Inside, the wall of windows allows one to soak up the view. Kitchen so very well stocked, if you suddenly remember you need EVOL or flour or sugar or ziplock bags, it's there. We'd been concerned in advance about bedroom privacy, but the sliding screens work great (note that space above the screens to the vaulted ceiling remains open. However, the bunkbed room had a door that closed and worked perfectly for the youngsters. The AC also worked great but, right on the water, it was remarkably cool in mid-July. Finally, Lynwood Center is a 3 min drive or 15 min walk -- and has a great bakery, coffee shop, Walt's groceries. I expect we'll be back!
What a wonderful place to relax and take in the views and enjoy the breezes off the bay. Our first time to the Pacific Northwest and we will return. The house plays to the view of Mt Rainier, ample seating for viewing the water both inside and outside. It was also well stocked with paper goods, towels - far more than we normally get with a VRBO. Everything designed for comfort and relaxation with pillows everywhere. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
We loved this cozy, charming cottage. It feels like an old-fashioned beach cottage but with all the modern conveniences and updated appliances and bathrooms. Incredible view of Mt Rainier right out the picture window. Great beach for walking.
We had an excellent time staying at Pearlâs Beach House. Has all the luxuries of home and more! Very clean, comfortable & the view was majestic. We loved every minute of our stay! Big thank you to the owners.
Fantastic property! The views in the photos really donât do it justice. Perfect beach fire pit with plenty of wood supplied. Kitchen and open living area are wonderful. We never tired of watching ferries and boats going by and definitely did not want to go home. I would give 4.5 stars if possible with the only knock being the inability to use the fireplace (which the owner immediately acknowledged and indicated he would update the listing). Definitely a small issue in the grand scheme of things and I highly recommend this place for a summer getaway.
The perfect escape to recharge in a beautiful setting.
We loved our stay at Pearl's. Besides the gorgeous waterfront access, the home itself is so comfortable and relaxing. It's extremely well stocked with everything we needed.
Our sons, 18 & 22, enjoyed tidepooling, walking down to the local shops, and exploring the area. We went to a climbing gym, found a nice disc golf course, and spent time sitting outside watching birds! We spotted a heron and a few eagles! Of all the vacation rentals we've stayed at, this is my favorite. I'd love to return!
We had such a wonderful time at Pearl to celebrate my momâs retirement. The house is positioned perfectly to enjoy walks on the beach or reading on the deck. The fact that a patisserie with amazing pastries is less than a 2 minute drive awayâŠ.. all of our vacation hopes and dreams! We look forward to coming back soon.
We did not want a mansion; we wanted a low key cottage on Bainbridge Island. With a magnificent view of Mt. Ranier and a suitable fire pit on the shore, we enjoyed a couple of nights sitting outside enjoying the cool alternative to Florida weather. Nothing was lacking other than , perhaps, a reading light of sufficient power to read in bed. We would do it again - hope to next year.
Our stay at the Pearl House couldn't have been any better. After spending the day out whether it be Seattle or activities on Bainbridge or one of the nearby islands, coming back to such a well keep and relaxing home rejuvenated us for the next day. I haven't even mentioned the spectacular ever-changing views right out the back door. If you are staying on Bainbridge Island DON"T pass up the opportunity to stay on the property.
Walkable to Lynwood for coffee/pastries (amazing) via rocky beach or road ; hiking trail and kidâs playground .25 miles away (we would walk to get coffee and stop on way âhomeâ) ; on Chilly Hilly route for cyclists ; walkable to restaurants and wine bar. Front porch was amazing - watching ferries (and an aircraft carrier!) pass by as well as a seal and eagles frolic. House was very open concept and windows to beach/mt. Rainer so could keep an eye on kids while lounging outside. Close to everything, but far enough to be able to get away. Fast Internet so was able to do a few Zoom meetings (unfortunately) with no issues. Great place.
My husband and I spent our anniversary weekend here. We really needed a change of scenery and a quiet place to unplug. Cute town and the location of the house was perfect. Beautiful, peaceful view.
Our family has been on this bay for over 60 years. The families first house was 300 ft away. Our parents built Pearl's Beach House enjoy their later years on the beach they lived on since 1958. Two brothers own the property now, have updated it but kept the original cabin like feel with the warm wood, big windows and open floor plan. All five children in our family graduated from Bainbridge High School. When we first moved onto the bay, it was mostly weekend cabins for those living in Seattle.
Growing up on this beach, was the ultimate and we didn't truly appreciate it until our adult years. Our playground (beach) changed each day with the tide. We have added a sizeable deck to the house, updated the kitchen, furnishings, but keeping the unique feel of our family home. The views are amazing. Our father used to say, 'no one can build in front of my view of Mt. Rainier'....
