We really enjoyed our stay. The house was very spacious and well kept. Only a 2 minute walk to the beach. Very good neighborhood and family friendly atmosphere. There were 12 of us staying for our trip and there was still plenty of extra room. Highly recommend if your looking for somewhere to take multiples families! Will definitely book again for our next beach trip.
This house suited every need we had for our group of 12 to stay for the week. John and his wife were both so accommodating and were easy to get in contact with for anything we needed during our stay. John also made sure to give us a heads up any time someone would be popping in to work in something on the house like pool cleaning, etc.
Overall the property was ok. House needs some work done to it. Mold in the bathroom ceilings you could visibly see. Refrigerator could use to be replaced ( could barely keep up with food and drinks) and ice maker did not work. Also we found big pieces of glass under the couches from were someone had busted a bottle. Still had a nice stay. House is plenty big for a lot of people. Beds were not the best. Pool area was amazing.
Loved this house except master bedroom bed seemed old and was uncomfortable (rolled to middle) and futon frame was broken and un-usable for us. 3rd floor was cramped with bunk beds and old sofa sleeper that butted bunks when tried to opened. Warmer and no wifi up there. I had to share room with grand daughter. To us these 2 rooms were not as represented on site photos and descriptions. Otherwise was a good experience, short walk to beach and pool and whirlpool was great and to me was bigger than looked on site photos. Living, dining and kitchen area were very comfortable and roomy. Very nice decor throughout.
My family (8 adults, 4 children (ages 10, 4, 1, 7 months)) really enjoyed Mr. John's home. The pack n play and high chairs were an added bonus, allowing us more room in our car not having to pack those. Everyone enjoyed the pool and the sitting pool. There was enough room for everyone to spread out and not always be under each other.
Our only "complaints" would be:
1. The very top (pull out couch) room didn't cool very well, which made it slightly uncomfortable to sleep in.
2. Apparently you need to bring your own garbage bags and toilet paper, as that is not supplied. It wasn't a big deal, as a Dollar General was nearby. We just assumed those would be provided.
Overall, we had a great experience and thank Mr. John for opening his home to us!
This home is OK at best. It is dated and in need of updating, the furniture in the living room is old. We found some spreads that we placed on the couches before we would sit on them. The beds are awful, cheap mattresses. The only reason we gave it two stars was the pool and the fact we could see the gulf from the top balcony. The dishes/pots/pans are cheap and old and in need of replacement. We don't know how they keep tract of their inventory because it is a mismatch of pieces that look like they were left over from many previous visitors. We feel we were somewhat misled by the write up listing it west of Pier Park, thinking it would be newer and nicer than it was.
The stay was good the house was good. We just went in the wrong time of the year it was cold and raining so we couldnât get to be in the pool or the beach..
The house has been updated so the pictures that are here donât do it justice. Perfect for our family of 12. Pretty close to the beach in a nice neighborhood. Owner is super friendly.
Good neighborhood and family friendly atmosphere. It had a nice view of the gulf on the top balcony and 2-minute walk to beach. However, property was not maintained and need repairs.
Originally when booking the home, we were notified exterior renovations needed to be completed. However, interior is needed as well. We were informed the day we checked in we are the last renters while they renovate the inside. Good news for the upcoming tenants but not for us. We couldnât find another property for our party size for 2 nights, so we had to work with what we had. Communication with the owner about the issues started off good but after a few texts, we never heard anything else. It was truly an inconvenience.
Within these renewals they need to repair the ceilings because some of the drywall fell while we were there. The bathroom smells like mold and it has black spots on the ceiling where there is water damage. Replace damaged 3rd level doorknob to avoid anyone from getting locked outside on the top balcony. The beds were less than comfortable.
This property was a great place for my family and I walking distance from the beach walking took about 3 mins. Pool was also very nice. Slept our family of 11 very comfortably. Highly recommended
Overall, we were very happy with the house and property. The pool was great and relaxing. There were some cosmetic things that Could be improved but not a big deal to us. We would definitely stay there again! Thank you!
Nice house but older with good charm. The owner was working on outside remodel. Found at least 3 nails on ground and around pool which were dangerous for all our barefoot kids running around and swimming. The pool was dirty during our entire stay with grass and dirt floating in the pool. The pool man even asked me to put water in the pool-which I did but didnât feel was my responsibility. I did not see him vacuum the dirt out of it at all. The water was so cloudy on the day we left you couldnât see through it. Inside the home had everything we needed but it does need a larger AC to handle the hot weather. Going to sleep at night was difficult because it was too hot to be comfortable. The tower room has no AC at all. The home needed a deep cleaning and the ceilings needed repair. Despite these few issues the home was nice to stay in and close enough to the beach. Mr Burley was very nice.
The house was going through renovations, the front door was blocked for several hours. I'm not a complainer this was inconvenient, they left nails and screws on the pavement. The beds were less than comfortable. That was the bad everything else spectacular we had a great time nice location. Would do again 4 out of 5 stars.
The house was under construction at the time of our stay. With different families coming parking was limited. Overall the stay was nice. We had a private fenced in back yard with a pool which was very nice.
The house is in a good location. But it is need of Serious repair and maintenance.
To give a example The rear door glass fell out while we were there. No one ever came to Repair it. We were told that they would and never showed. The bad part was in a bedroom.
Iâve been in the construction business for 23 plus years. And this house needs work.
It had a nice view and close to beach but property was not maintained there was a hole in living room ceiling the porches were not in good shape the pool had the lid broke we told the pool guy he said he told the owners 3 times I was not happy considering how much I paid for the house I have pictures of everything
A lot of room for our 3 families that came together for a weekend. Pool was awesome! There isn't a lot of shade, but we had a tent and it worked out great. Plenty of rooms and the kids loved the upstairs bunk area. Great view from the top floor!
