La villa a été construite en utilisant les murs d’une ferme du 16ième siècle, complètement restauré en respectant l’architecture de l’époque. Elle se trouve dans une propriété de 64 hectares, et s’articule sur deux niveaux. Au rez-de-chaussée se trouve un grand salon avec cheminée, salle a manger, grande cuisine, une 2ième salle a manger avec cheminée, salle de gymnastique, sauna, grande salle de bain avec Jacuzzi, une chambre matrimoniale, salle de bain avec douche. Un grand escalier en marbre nous emmène au 1er étage ou on trouve deux chambres matrimoniales, une chambre avec 3 lits a une place, deux salles de bain avec douche. Télévision (SKY),internet free connection, air conditionné, machine a laver, lave vaisselle, parquet, carrelage en terre cuite de Toscane. Mobilier et tapisserie d’excellente qualité. Jardin fleurie, pelouse a l’Anglaise, piscine, jardinier, femme de chambre a disposition des invités complète cette splendide villa qui se trouve a 70 minutes de route du centre de Rome.

The villa is very nice an...

The villa is very nice and also the property in which is situated, and the garden too. Some details are sub standard at this high price, the hot water supply is limited (forget about hot jacuzzi). There are lots of cats and dogs around. Avoid if you are allergic or afraid of those animals. In all, a very nice (and overpriced) place especially if you want to be quietly at home. The only interesting place around is Capalbio, a small but fascinating old village

Seul petit problème quelque soucis d'approvisionnement en eau vite réglé par madame A. la femme de ménage, qui était toujours là pour rendre service et d’une gentillesse remarquable. Magnifique pour ceux qui aiment la tranquillité Présence de chien non renseignée, mais ils sont très discret." "

Una location meravigliosa, ovunque volgi lo sguardo, vieni sopraffatto dalla bellezza. La villa è esattamente come si vede in foto, spazi esterni e comuni al limite della perfezione, camere e bagni meno curati ma comunque di buon livello.Per chi ama un posto tranquillo, isolato (ma comunque a 20 min dal mare in auto) non potrà che rimanere super soddisfatto.Piccola nota: nella proprietà ci sono alcuni gatti che vi faranno compagnia.

Stunning 360 degree panoramic views, beautiful house and superb gardens.

Perfectly situated house in glorious surroundings at the top of a hill with lovely views of the countryside and to the sea. We enjoyed the house which had everything we needed. It was lovely to sit outside to eat, or enjoy the shady areas all around the house and the wonderful garden. We particularly enjoyed walking out to enjoy all the butterflies, owls, golden orioles etc. The children adored the puppies! Anita cooked for us a delicious meal which we all enjoyed including vegetables from her garden. Anita and Luciano were very helpful including rearranging the beds for the children which we had thought we had already organisied by email prior to arrival. They also provided washing up liquid for our stay when the dishwasher became unsafe! Very easy to reach the nearest beach - good day out. Supermarket at Borgio very good nice deli and fruit and veg. Pittigliano and Via Cave etc 5 mins down the road is a must. Capalbio also lovely and go to the bar at Pescia for a coffee. We would love to come back.

Amazing property and amazing staff - needs a bit of upkeep

We had a great time at this house and the staff was amazing. The house is in good condition but the some of the equipment needs major refurbishment. The water heaters didn't work during our visit and neither did the ACs cool. Also, the pool water was not heated which is fine, except that it was usually around 18 degrees in the pool. If it weren't for Luciano and his wife Anita (who cooked for us in the evenings) it would have been a difficult week, but they made everything as comfortable as it could get.

I am very sorry to know that our guests have had difficulties. I would like to reassure future guests about the hot water and the air conditioning, now they are working great. As for the pool, of course, it is not heated, but we are in Italy, there are not many heated pools. Our country is "the country of the sun"! Of course it can happen a week of bad weather even in summer, and in this case, the water in the swimming pool will not be too hot, but it is an exception, usually in summer it is very hot and the pool is perfect.

Quando si ha la fortuna di ospitare persone così simpatiche (e che ci fanno sentire così apprezzati) si ha voglia di migliorarsi e di fare sempre di più perché i nostri ospiti si trovino bene e conservino un buon ricordo delle vacanze trascorse presso di noi. Un grazie a Sveva e a tutta la sua simpatica famiglia, e un arrivederci alla prossima volta!!!

bellissimo

It is a beautiful place, the house was really above my expectations: antique furniture, well equipped kitchen, everything was of very good quality and very well kept, I didn’t expect as much from a place that is being rented. The garden too was very well kept and endless. We explored the lovely hills, villages and the seacoast. We ate very well in every place we tried, never a disappointment. A lovely vacation, we sure hope to be back.

tutto perfetto

Un posto bellissimo: bellissima la casa, le coline, la vista arrivando e la vista una volta arrivati lassù. Il giardino è tenuto benissimo anche in invero, c’è un labirinto di siepi che sembra una favola d’altri tempi. La casa è enorme, luminosa, piena di bei mobili e belle cose. Abbiamo fatto grigliate sul camino in soggiorno, bevuto vino davanti all’enorme camino in pietra della sala. La sala da pranzo (ancora un’altra stanza) ha il tetto in vetro. Se andate in inverno e non potete godervi il mare, la cucina regionale presenta una grande attrattiva. Consiglio tantissimo il ristorante il Tortello di Pescia Fiorentina. Cucina vera, rustica e atmosfera accogliente, simpatica e alla buona, porzioni generosissime!! Poi per smaltire le calorie e i sensi di colpa la casa ha anche la palestra e la sauna! è stata una bellissima vacanza e ci torneremo sicuramente.

Beautiful

The place was truly stunning, quite the picture that comes to your mind when you think of Tuscany. Even in winter the weather was warm and the nature around was full of different shades of green and red and brown. The house was massive full of antiques, quite well kept and well heated. In the evening we stood in front of one of the many fireplaces and toasted our toes with a good bottle of the local red wine.

Great place, great vacation!

For once I must say that the place was much better than it looked in the picture! We were pleasantly surprised. The house was truly spacious, full of light and kept with care. The garden was beautiful even in winter and the hills were quite a view. The surrounding area is very good for mountain biking and, we also went horse riding at a nearby stable. We tried a couple of restaurants, suggested by the owner, one of fish food, and one of local cuisine, and found them really good, especially the wild boar, it was excellent! It was a very nice week we wish to come back in summer!!

"La villa è veramente bellissima, tutto perfetto: l’arredamento, le attrezzature, lo spazio. E che dire del posto! Un piccolo paradiso, boschi e campi coltivati tutto intorno, un angolo di Toscana che sembra una cartolina. Anche la zona è molto bella e abbiamo fatto delle piacevoli gite all’Argentario, a Saturnia e a Tarquinia. Costantino e Michela sono gentilissimi ed hanno fatto di tutto per rendere ancora più piacevole la nostra vacanza. Purtroppo siamo venuti d’inverno e non abbiamo potuto usufruire della piscina (faceva troppo freddo), ma speriamo di poter tornare in estate. Grazie di tutto"

"Beautiful place, really,...

"Beautiful place, really, the pictures don''t give it justice. Completely immersed in nature, very and quiet, with a charming view. The house was also beautiful, decorated with taste and mostly antique pieces. The housekeeper and property guardian were very nice and helpful and went the extra length to help us with the unforeseen, like finding a doctor in the middle of the night for our youngest daughter. We''re coming back in summer!"

"Le mie aspettative non erano così alte . Di solito dalle foto non hai mai la visione reale di come si presenta il posto che hai scelto, ma questa volta erano le foto che non davano giustizia. Se hai bisogno di una vacanza nel confort e nel più totale relax, non ti puoi sbagliare. E' il posto giusto. Cortesia e servizio sono di casa, sia da parte della titolare che del personale che abbiamo trovato ad accoglierci e che ci ha seguiti per tutta la vacanza. Torneremo di sicuro in estate!!!"

"It was , probably, my be...

"It was , probably, my best vacations (in rented houses). Everything was perfect: the interiors and a,enities, the style of living, friendly stuff, kind animals in the territory, garden was fantsticly organised and cared. Me and my family experienced the famous italian "dolce vita" (dolce farniente). I would recommend this property to anybody who is thinking of the genuine italian vacations."

I like to meet people, to talk to them, and sometimes, why not, keep in touch! It is truly fulfilling when, after spending a vacation in one of our places, people get back to me and let me know that they have had a good time!
I can not always meet my guests in person (I divide my time between Rome and Tuscany, where we have a farm), but I personally answer to their questions, take care of their request and organize their sojourn. I’m glad when people decide to spend their vacation in our beautiful country, that I love so much, and I try to help them making the best of it!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

La première fois que j'ai vu Poggio Capraio J'ai pensé, "je l'ai trouvé." Je ne sais pas s'il faut être heureux ou peur, parce que c'est un endroit magnifique, un corps de ferme du XVIIIe siècle au sommet d'une colline surplombant tout autour, avec une vue à 360 degrés sur les forêts environnantes et la mer, mais le travail à faire pour lui redonner sa ancienne gloire était beaucoup. Maintenant que le travail a été fait, la villa et le jardin sont parfaits. Passez des vacances ici est un régal pour les yeux et le cœur.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

When my husband and I arrived here for the first time, more than 30 years ago, it seemed impossible to find such a wild place so close to Rome, and from the sea coast. Miraculously, a strict policy of protecting the territory has preserved the ecosystem and now, even thirty years after our arrival, here you'll can enjoy a sea and a land unspoiled.
Kilometers of beach (sand, dunes and pine forests) and a country which is the first in Europe (that's right: Capalbio is the first agricultural district of Europe). And, if you like you'll can have a walk in the woods to pick blackberries, or mushrooms (depending on the season), startng from the villa (just go out and take the path). This does not mean you have to do the hermits though! You are in Tuscany, and a short walk from the Argentario: markets, shops, restaurants and clubs are at your disposal if you want to take a dip in the 'civilized world'. You can also rent a boat (or just take a ferry) and make a tour in the Tuscan archipelago discovering a sea that has nothing to envy (indeed !!) to the Sardinia. You can dance in the discos of the Argentario, and then retire to a quiet oasis, in the company of the crickets.
