Cornerstone Cottage est un chalet contemporain familiale, confortable mais spacieuse sur la réserve naturelle de Lower Mill Estate privé dans le parc aquatique de Cotswolds.

Emplacement tranquille dans un jardin d'eau isolé loin des parties les plus fréquentées de Lower Mill Estate, et pourtant seulement une courte promenade du spa exclusif (inclus pour tous nos clients de location) et d'autres installations. Miles de belles promenades de la porte d'entrée et une grande sélection de sportif local, du tourisme et des activités de détente. Un favori est le 15 minutes à pied de notre pub local, The Bakers Arms.

Nous avons possédé Cornerstone Cottage depuis 2003, en précisant que la maison soit notre propre «maison loin de la maison» en milieu rural. Maintenant, nous sommes ravis de vous inviter à partager l'expérience et de faire vos propres souvenirs.

De nombreux invités ont de revenir encore et encore, souvent réservation longtemps à l'avance.

Grands canapés pour se détendre au coin du feu de cheminée en hiver, ou de regarder la télévision. Cuisine et salle à manger bien équipée. Jeux et livres pour enfants. Internet Wifi.

Grande terrasse surplombant un étang de roseaux paisible, avec le soleil du matin jusqu'au soir.

650 acres de réserve naturelle sur place, la faune abondante (la vie des oiseaux, des plantes, des animaux sauvages, vous pouvez apercevoir un héron, une loutre ou même un castor).

L'ArtSpa (environ 500 m à pied), d'une valeur de 6 millions de livres sterling, dispose de piscines intérieure / extérieure, d'un sauna, d'un hammam et de salles de soins. Artspa propose également une large gamme de soins de spa utilisant 100% végétal extrait naturel produits Pevonia.

Il ya aussi des aires de jeux, trampolines, terrain de foot, ping-pong et des courts de tennis.

Restaurant Ballihoo est d'env. 500m de Cornerstone, ouvrir la plupart de l'année. Petite boutique et café ouvert heures de pointe, environ 100m à pied - bonne gamme de produits d'épicerie, un bon café et thé, pâtisseries et des déjeuners légers. Ainsi que la vente de savoureux repas congelés faits maison la boutique peut organiser un chef de venir à la maison.

Lovely cottage on beautiful estate

We were a group of 7 staying (4 adults, 3 children) for 3 nights. The cottage had everything we could need. There are 2 bedrooms perfectly set up for kids with the other 2 for adults. The bathrooms were decent and the kitchen had everything you could possibly need and more, although some cupboard space to store our food would have been nice.The outdoor dining space was very peaceful and pretty although a little overlooked. The estate is beautiful and the cottage is very close to the activity hub, spa, pool, tennis courts, playgrounds and restaurant. Table tennis and tennis equipment hire was very cheap but be quick to book the tennis courts as by the time we went to book they were fully booked for the week! A couple of pointers for others staying on the estate: - The spa is wonderful! Two of us went for a head massage which was reasonably priced and very relaxing - highly recommend! - The pool is fantastic. It was the highlight of the trip for our kids. - The restaurant / bar has good quality food & drinks but we found the service to be painfully slow. We went for lunch when we arrived, there were only 2 other tables eating and we waited over half an hour for each course. Make sure you book if you want to have dinner there. We’d recommend The Bakers Arms pub, a 15 min walk away. Great food, great service and there’s a pizza oven in the garden. - We found that the on site shop was severely lacking in basics so make sure to bring everything with you!

My family of 4 adults stayed here. It did not disappoint! Tim & Victoria are perfect hosts and the communication is great. They provide a lot of useful info to plan and stay at their home.. even have an app & book. Although they tried very hard to explain where to park to drop off our things, we failed...but it's ok. Once you found the home, it was easy after that. They left many goodies to enjoy. Thank you! Their kitchen is well-stocked and has a Nespresso machine with a milk frother. I loved the frother so much I just bought one for our home. They provided many coffee capsules to start you off. I haven't used a Nespresso machine before but after googling it I was on my way! The electrical outlets have on/off switches so if the appliance isn't working check to make sure the switch is on. The wifi was great. There are only clipper outlets in the bathroom so I used the outlet in the bunkbed room in front of the mirror for drying & curling my hair. We used the dishwasher, washer/dryer with no problems (Soap goes in the double bar section of washer). We ate at the Ballihoo restaurant our first night..yummy. They have a small store there to pick up food supplies. Had a massage & facial at the spa..so relaxing. Enjoyed the Half Day Rally Experience @ Cotswold Driving Experiences..so fun! 10-course dinner with Dine Indulge at their home..worth it! We rented an electric car, charging station only a few min away and FREE. It is so beautiful there..highly recommmend!

We had a lovely time here it’s on beautiful grounds, walks round the lakes and other facilities gives you plenty to do, highly recommend the sunset safari they do on a Saturday. All in all lovely house and area to visit

Lovely cottage in a family-friendly estate

Lower Mill estate is great for families - lots of activities and space to run around! The cottage is well equipped - sadly not as great a view as some of the other properties at Lower Mill, but in a charming corner nevertheless. The owners are very proactive with communication and very responsive to requests.

Good stay

. The house is charming and well-equipped - good bathrooms and showers - but we didn’t really feel it was suitable for eight adults - four adults and four children max. Bike and canoe hire v pricey! Good stay but we felt very overlooked and crammed in. The impression given was of lots of space but the estate is very developed. Spa and pools excellent

Cotswolds experience with the Girls

The property was in a lovely location, convenient and easy to access all the facilities which were great! From Cycling to swimming, paddle boarding , picnicking, as well as a lovely private chef experience in the property. The property was bit smaller than seen in the pics, we did expect only one bunk bed room , but there was two, but probably we did not read the info correctly, the hosts and owners were fantastic!

Amazing place beautiful house and beautiful surroundings great experience from booking to checking in Tim could not be more helpful before hand making sure we had all the information possible we needed for the stay and also was on hand when we wanted to extend our checkout, could not of asked for a better choice of stay. Excellent stay

We had an excellent time at Lower Mill Estate. Cornerstone cottage is absolutely lovely, comfortable and perfect for 2 families with kids. Its right next to the perfectly heated pool, tennis court, hire a bike/kayak/canoe and Somerford lagoon (where we went canoeing). Would highly recommend it. Thank you Tim & Venessa.

Our stay was wonderful from the moment we booked it to the moment we left. Everything we needed had been thought of and was readily available. Even the things we hadn’t thought of. Amazing Easter break with the family

We had such a wonderful stay at cornerstone cottage. There was so much to do for the kids and adults. Tim and Vanessa made us so very welcome and were so helpful to all our needs. I can’t wait to book again for the summer - this is going to be our go-to UK holiday for sure. Would 100% recommend to families.

Fantastic communications and instructions from all sides both pre and during stay which made it stress free. Lovely clean home in wonderful location for a family break - walking distance to swimming, tennis, kayaking, bike hire, bird hides and so much more all weekend! You need 3/4 days minimum to even scratch the surface of what is on offer and you leave totally energised!

Highly recommend for a relaxing family break

The cottage is lovely with everything you could need and a gorgeous decking area. The estate has fantastic facilities with two brilliant outdoor pools as well as sauna, steam, water sports, football pitch, tennis and some gorgeous walks. The onsite restaurant is really good and the local pub is nice too. Be sure to bring enough food or have your order delivered as the onsite shop is limited. It really was the ideal place for a family weekend for people from 70-7. Would return again and again!

Perfect place for a family weekend

Came for a family birthday with ages ranging from 70 to 7 and it was perfect for everyone. The house is lovely, the Normans provided excellent communication, the facilities are gorgeous and the location is great with a really good restaurant on site and a lovely local pub in the village. Having holidayed and discovered many countries around the world, it is still right at the top of our choices for holidays and short breaks with family and with friends.

Having lived in Paris for many years, Cornerstone was our home from home - our bolthole retreat.

Our eldest son was born in 2003, the year Cornerstone was built for us. He and his brother have learned to swim here. They have enjoyed walks in the wild, cycling, water sports, sport and just simply getting away with friends and family.

For many years we kept Cornerstone to ourselves, since 2012 we have been pleased to invite people to enjoy a Cornerstone experience as well.

Welcome to Cornerstone Cottage, and to the wonderful Lower Mill Estate.

We fell in love with Lower Mill Estate when first visited and we jumped at the chance to be a part of it. We have owned Cornerstone Cottage since it was built in 2003, being involved in its design & layout. Over the years we have grown to love it more and more and we keep on making new discoveries, and trying things our guests have recommended as well.

The approach to Cornerstone Cottage, with views of the lakes and water gardens, sets the scene for an active, relaxing holiday surrounded by nature. The cottage is at the end of a stone pathway, in a quiet and secluded location away from the Estate’s internal roads, yet within a few minutes’ walk of the Activity Hub and Pilates centre, the lakes, nature trails and the LME Spa.

A perfect venue for all sorts of holidays and short breaks. With 2 ensuite double bedrooms, 2 further bedrooms and family bathroom as well as a fully-equipped kitchen.

Lower Mill Estate is a private nature reserve with hundreds of acres of lakes, fields and forests and miles of walking/cycle paths including the Thames Path which runs near to our cottage. For young children this comes alive with The Miss Mouse children’s nature trail and treasure hunt which begins near to the house. Children’s nature activities are also available during the school holidays. There is also fishing and there are picnic spots around the estate, and you can get up close to birds and animals, including, in a number of wildlife-watching hides.

The Spa is a short walk away. It is an award-winning, multi-million pound delight to the senses. Exclusive to guests at some of the houses on Lower Mill Estate, it is included in your holiday. Facilities include an indoor and an outdoor heated pool, sauna, steam room and gym. A wide range of treatments is available at an additional cost.
Other LME facilities include tennis courts, a multi-sports pitch, table tennis, bike trail and playgrounds as well as an additional outside pool open all year heated to 30˚C and a sauna. Onsite Activity Hub arranges yoga, watersports and other courses, as well as the hire of bikes, canoes, SUPs and other watercraft.
