This spectacular house is located within a privately owned estate surrounded by 500 acres of nature reserve. Tischler House is found in an enviable position offering outstanding views across Somerford Lagoon, and the only property on The Lower Mill Estate to have its own private heated swimming pool (open 1st April - 31st October) along with a large, sunken hot tub and private mooring. This property has been recently remodelled with bespoke interiors, custom joinery and premium fittings throughout, remodelled by London's premium design agency - studio.skey.

This property is ideal for those looking to celebrate a special occasion with friends and family or those wishing to enjoy the setting of this luxury lakeside property from the comfort of a sun lounger. Enjoy the long evenings on the private terrace overlooking the breathtaking nature that surrounds you, or unwind in the state of the art hot tub while the family splash in the pool. For those looking for a little more adventure - the property comes with 2 single seat kayaks and a Canadian canoe which are available for your use throughout your stay. Other watercraft are available for hire on site.

There are 4 well proportioned bedrooms sleeping 8 guests, comprised of 3 kings, and 1 twin room. With 3 bathrooms, an open plan living/dining area, an entertainment lounge which features a 65" plasma smart television, an extensive DVD library and accompanying Sonos sound system, there is space for everyone to enjoy this unique property. If you are looking for a showstopper then you have found it!

Had a fantastic long weekend at Tischler House enjoying a family birthday. The house was spectacular with a fabulous outlook onto the lake which made each morning a real treat being able to watch the sun come up and observe the beavers, herons and various other wildlife. We stayed in October so the lake was closed to kayaks and canoes which meant it felt very private and peaceful. We were a group of seven and the house provided more than enough space for us all for a very relaxing and comfortable stay. The outdoor pool being heated was a real luxury as we were able to enjoy it each day despite the autumn temperatures and the hot tub was also a real treat. Communications with Gillian were very good, always helpful and thorough with the relevant details and local knowledge meaning the whole experience was smooth and easy and we'd have no hesitation in recommending this property to anyone.The fact none of us wanted to leave speaks volumes! Thank you for hosting us in this wonderful home.

Tischler House had everything we needed for a family get together/Birthday celebration. Warm and comfortable in all rooms. Spacious for 7 people. Well equipped kitchen, separate TV room with large TV, easy to connect our own devices. Hot tub warm was an ideal temperature. Felt secluded despite the other properties nearby.

A Perfect Stay

Tischler House is the stuff of dreams. We had the most magical time celebrating my mum’s 70th birthday. The setting is breathtaking, on a serene lake surrounded by beautiful greenery. The house is gorgeous, thoughtfully designed and decorated in calming colours and textures. The kitchen is incredibly well appointed with everything we needed to prepare our meals. We loved the cosy cinema room, perfect for watching a movie together in the evening. But one of the best parts of the house has to be the outdoor space, with its heated swimming pool and hot tub, two kayaks and outdoor dining table. Communication with the property manager Gillian was excellent, she answered any questions promptly and was so friendly and helpful. We were all so sad to leave this morning, and are already planning on when we can visit again. Thank you Tischler House for an unforgettable experience!

Utterly fabulous stay - incredible!

We had a fabulous time - the house was just as good as the photos - everything immaculate and chock full of everything you need! The heated pool was amazing and even in a fairly blustery and occasional rain of an April stay - the kids were in it for hours every day!You won’t want or need to leave the house!Can’t recommend highly enough.

Unique and special lakeside location

Our family of 7 stayed in this beautiful house for 3 days. The house is furnished, equipped and decorated to a very high standard and cleanliness was immaculate . We could not fault anything at all. The location was perfect, if we had one regret it was we did not have a longer stay. So much to do and see in the area. The family went to the swimming pool each day, enjoyed the hot tub and the children tried kayaking for the first time. Given, these are all included in the price we would consider this property much more luxurious, special and value for money against some well known holiday companies that are chosen for short breaks. The hosts were very communicative, there at all times if you needed to ask a question. This was a very special stay. It exceeded our already high expectations. Thank you Gillian and to the owners David and Katy.

Relaxing weekend

We had a fantastic weekend at the beautiful Tischler House. The pool and hot tub were perfect and although the weather was a little mixed, the view over the lake was absolutely stunning come rain or shine. I don’t think the photos can really show just how fabulous the house and location is. Gillian was incredibly helpful with prompt replies to any query. The rooms were spacious with comfortable beds and lovely bathrooms. It was the shared space that made it for us. Being able to relax in comfort with either the doors wide open or under a blanket on the cooler days. It was very much a break from the rush of every day life. We had a lovely meal at the restaurant but didn’t feel the need to use the spa/pool facilities when we had our own excellent pool and even used the kayaks to venture onto the lake.

Family birthday celebration week end

We booked this lovely house to take our family, six adults and two children to celebrate 2 specials birthdays in next month. The location is lovely, on the edge of a large lake in beautiful Cotswolds water park. It has lots of space to spread out in, modern and clean. Kitchen well equipped, three bathrooms and downstairs toilet. The house has a heated swimming pool and hot tub plus two kayaks for use. There are eateries on site and several nice pubs close by. This was a lovely family house for everyone to stay. Plenty to do and it’s very peaceful. Would thoroughly recommend . Gillian, the owner’s agent was very helpful .

Fabulous Stay!!!

The pictures do not do the house justice, it is absolutely stunning! from the facilities to the location, it is just perfect and I really hope to be able to visit the house again in the summer. The property manager was also excellent, communication was faultless, it was just a staycation to remember for my friends and I!
