A lovely, quiet location, right on Pocasset Harbor! We swam at the uncrowded public beach, kayaked around the harbor, watched the ospreys, and sailed in Buzzard's Bay. This well-loved older home sleeps 7 comfortably and is decorated with family photographs, paintings and personal items, so we felt like we were staying with friends. There was off-street parking for seven cars and a lovely deck where we could eat breakfast, read or play cards. There is no air conditioning, but there were plenty of fans to keep us cool. Excellent local restaurants, boutique shopping in Falmouth and Mashpee Commons, and parking lots nearby with free shuttles to Woodshole to catch the ferry for Martha's Vineyard.
My family of 5 adults spent a wonderful week at this beautiful, very comfortable home right on the water! The property has a very large yard and waterfront, and the water views are magnificent from the living room, deck, kitchen, and even the master bedroom and master bath. The house is in a peaceful location, yet there was plenty of boating, beach, and bird activity on the harbor to keep my 94 year old mom entertained. We saw osprey, great blue herons, and Canada geese regularly. Launching our kayaks was easy at all tides right in front of the house. We paddled to the island and explored the inlets. Nancy was an excellent hostess, and was quick to respond to texts both before and during our visit. She was very warm and friendly, and went above and beyond in making sure we had everything we needed, especially for my elderly mom.
We had a very nice stay at Nancyâs home. The location right on the beach and views were stellar. Loved sitting on the back deck in the mornings. Nancy was available for all my questions and she was very helpful and nice. Loved being so close to the water. Thanks again!
Weâve been going to the Cape every summer for 20+ years. This vacation was one of the best!! Nancy is a wonderful host, the cottage has everything we needed, the location is absolutely perfect!! Kids loved walking to the beach, collecting shells. Canât beat kayaking from the back yard; fires, sâmores and spectacular sunsets. None of us wanted to leave!! Thank you Nancy!
This was a great vacation home. A very big yard right on the water with amazing sunset views. My kids loved catching crabs and sea creatures at the property. The house is walking distance to the beach and lots of other things to do in the area. The house is well maintained and clean.
Lovely location, all things Cape Cod, 100 yard walk along the water to a nicely maintained lightly used town beach. Active town docks, moorings and boat launch area in view off the deck and from the living room for entertainment. Beautiful 180 degree views of the bay, nice functional kitchen, with all of the needed utensils and serving dishes and separate bar area with additional refrigerator for beverages. Nice cooling sea breezes at this spot. Sleeping is set up for a family rather than Couples as there are 4 twins and a Queen in the bedroom's master is nice and open with bay views. Great gathering place and out of the flow of summer traffic yet woods hole is only 30 min away. Provisioning is a breeze with well stocked local town groceries and liquor stores. Half a dozen great local restaurants within 5 - 10 min drives and well as great pizza down the street. Prefect place to enjoy a memorable stay in the Cape.
This is a family home that was my mother's. Our families have been coming to Pocasset for over 50 years. Our children all played here for a few weeks every summer and we could watch them ride their bicycles, play and catch minnows and crabs at the end of the driveway or out front and at the beach.
This is a family home and we only rent it for 2 weeks each Summer so no rental taxes will be owed making this a very good value. We feel it is special and a place to make new memories- from having coffee/breakfast on the front deck, playing in the water and on the lawns to enjoying happy hour as the sun sets across the harbor.
