Loved old Cape Cod setting. Thank you Chris Ann and Don for going out of your way for my accommodation last Sat My friends loved it also. Will be back again.
Had a great time at this place. Great location to the beach. Our kids could ride bikes from the cottage to the beach and all around the neighborhood. No AC isn't an issue, so much breeze through the cottage at night. Will be back!
We needed a get away and we couldnât have asked for a better place! Just a nice place with everything we needed. A quick walk to the beach! Close to restaurants and shopping. Would stay there again and would recommend it!
A charming little cottage in a quiet neighborhood. Very clean and well maintained property with a beautiful small backyard. If you like watching birds, make sure to bring a pair binoculars. Overall a perfect venue for a small family. A few minutes walking distance from a beautiful beach and a quick drive away from great food. Hoping to return.
Excellent location. The West Dennis Beach is within walking distance, and with a partial ocean view from the cottage steps. The plus side with renting this property is you don't have to pay to park at the beach which is $20-$30 a day. The property manager was great to work with. He gave us some suggestions for dining. The Outdoor shower is always a plus at the Cape. I Highly recommend looking into this spot for your next Cape Getaway.
This was my third time renting here; there was a break of a few years because of COVID, but it was so great to be here again. My previous two reviews give the details, but suffice to say this cottage will be my go-to always. Doug is great to deal with, very accommodating and pleasant. Location is fabulous, 3-minute walk to the beach and great proximity to fun stuff to do in the area. I will suggest bringing a couple fans - there are fans there, but we brought two of our own which were needed as well. That has nothing to do with the cottage and everything to do with the more intense heat this summer; it was never an issue in our previous stays. The crosswinds blowing through the living area are fabulous! We just found sleeping more comfortable with several fans. All in all, we had a great week in this quaint little cottage and it will always be my favorite Cape getaway.
We stayed here on our family of four's first trip to Cape Cod and it worked out very well. The property is very close to the beach and in a nice residential area so it was easy to go to the beach or out for a walk. Lots of good amenities like restaurants, ice cream places, mini golf etc a short drive away. Check in/out were easy and the owner was responsive and provided some good local suggestions for us. Would go back.
Overall stay was good. Quiet neighborhood, close to beach, and not far from restaurants, etc.
I didn't have internet all week, and didn't have the owner's contact info. to resolve this issue.
We failed to read the emails listing what we needed to bring, and showed up with no sheets/linens. They immediately and kindly provided us with some. The house is located right near the beach as well as a cute crabbing place for the kids. 2 restaurants are also in walking distance. I had a great route for my daily run. We loved it!
Loved the location, quiet neighborhood walking distance to beautiful West Dennis beach. Cottage was as described. Loved the backyard overlooking a salt water marsh and my daughter loved all the bunnies around the yard. Walking distance to two restaurants, we enjoyed the Sand Bar, good pizza and great view.
This was a second stay at the Crosswinds!
We had a great time with the family to end summer!
Everything is so conveniently located (beach, Route 28, attractions in both Yarmouth and Dennisport, etc.)
We canât wait to return next year!
This small cottage is a two minute walk from West Dennis beach! My husband and I stayed two weeks. The place is quite small, but it has what you need for a relaxing vacation- a small kitchen, closets and bureaus, an outdoor table in the back. The owners were terrific and responsive, It was clean and comfortable and priced right. We would come back!!
We (Dave and Marian Papallo) are both from Connecticut and have been coming to Cape Cod for over 60 years. We love it here so much, we even spent our honeymoon on the Cape Cod beaches! We have been married for over 52 years and have five children and twelve grandchildren. We love spending time in our cottage (Unit #11) and take pride in the cottages we rent (#9 and #10). Our children now assist us in the mangagement of the property and we plan on keeping the property in the family for many generations to come!
We bought this property because we loved the area and all it offered for our family of seven. We rented Unit #10 for several years before the previous owner put it up for sale. We are so happy we purchased this because our five children loved it so much and now our 12 grandchildren are making new memories here! Additionally, the two cottages can be rented independently or can be rented together to form one larger rental (for a larger family or two families). Each living room has a door that can be opened which would allow the living rooms to be joined and closed when privacy is sought. It's perfect for a large family or two families vacationing together!
West Dennis beach is on the ocean side and the snack bar, bathrooms, showers and swings are on the end of the beach where our cottages are located. With the ocean just a short distance in front of the cottages and the salt water inlet right behind them, we loved the cross-breeze that comes through the cottages (hence the name Crosswinds).
