Spectacular view of the Tiber Valley. Total privacy, additional services on request. The property is divided into a main house (sleeps 7, 3 bathrooms) and two separate mini-apartments (sleeps 3 with 1 bathroom), which allow for more privacy or make it easy to divide the house into two or three parts.
The Priello farmhouse, built in 1600, has been tastefully restored, preserving all the original details. In the main house, three of the four bedrooms are located on the upper floor, while the fourth bedroom is a small double room adjacent to the living room: the perfect place for those who do not like stairs or who have small children at hand. The living room offers plenty of seating around the large fireplace, where you can pop open a glass of wine and, trust us, it is the perfect place for storytelling. The dining table seats 14 and in the kitchen you can try your hand at baking bread or fresh pasta. Terracotta floors throughout the house, an exposed stone staircase, tiled bathrooms, a bathtub with waterfall, exposed beams on every ceiling and dreamy views from every window. As soon as you enter, you will appreciate the care and attention with which this magnificent property has been renovated, guaranteeing a high level of comfort while maintaining that wonderful Tuscan atmosphere. The two flats have a kitchenette, bathroom, large bedroom and private or shared terrace (whichever you choose) located directly in front of the house. The stone terrace surrounding the swimming pool offers plenty of space for sunbathing and also some shady areas, so you can soak up the atmosphere of the pool without overdoing it. A true paradise where you just want to lie around all day, admiring the valley without doing anything at all.
The rustic-style house has a patio, a pizza oven, an outdoor barbecue and a covered terrace with darts where you can enjoy your morning coffee overlooking the lake.
Our driveway is about 1.3 kilometres long and leads from the main road to Priello. The road winds its way past two farms, woods, a small waterfall, our neighbours, around a corner, hay fields and, just when you think, "Is this the right way?", you see our classic cypress driveway and you have arrived. It is less than a mile and a half from the main road, but it feels like a world away, with a peace and tranquillity you can only dream of.
This part of the Tiber Valley lies in the centre of the Italian peninsula, in Tuscany, but borders the provinces of Umbria, Marche and Romagna, regions with distinct characters that have influenced history, culture and landscape at different times, leaving traces that can still be felt today. It is an area between the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Adriatic Sea. It has a complex history. Not only is it the valley where the Tiber, a river that has shaped the fertile plain for thousands of years, has its source, but it is also mountainous. In fact, it is more mountainous than flat, but again it is impossible to define the hills and mountains in this area uniformly.
