A great location tucked into a quiet corner of beautiful Lake Five. There is lots of space for kids to play and a great layout to accommodate a big group. Equipped with everything you will need. An Amazing holiday spot!
This was a wonderful property, very close to the entrance for Glacier and sits on a beautiful lake. Our only regret was not staying longer. The house was fully stocked and had all the comforts of home.
Beautiful patio and deck as well for evening BBQs and relaxation after a long day at Glacier. The whole booking and stay process could not have been better. I will definitely come back again in the future.
We really enjoyed our stay at your home. It was very comfortable, clean and had everything we needed! The location, accommodations and ambiance could not have been better for our families. We enjoyed swimming in the lake, fishing and the neighbors also let us borrow their paddle boards which was an added bonus to the already wonderful lake experience. The proximity to Glacier National Park, Columbia Falls, and Whitefish was perfect. We were able to come and go easily.
We hope to come back again soon!
Best place ever. Carole is professional and always quick to respond to any questions, etc. We needed the R & R after my Daughters wedding. Very quite and peaceful. So immaculate is the home that it makes one want to leave it in better condition than we found it. I am sure we will be back.

What an amazing, perfectly located home!!
All I can say is, WOW! We stayed here with 5 adults and 3 kids, and had other family members pop in from time to time (they stayed at the KOA down the road!), and there was plenty of room for everyone! The home is well equipped with everything you will need, and more, and has a beautiful, peaceful view of Lake Five that will tempt you to stay out on the huge deck all day! The playset and sandbox were an absolute hit with the kids! Visiting Glacier is a piece of cake too, just a few minutes drive down the road (highly recommend the Avalanche Lake hike, but get there really early for parking!). All in all, we were sad to leave this house and hope to eventually return to continue our exploration of the area! Thank you so much again!!!
This house on Lake Five became our home for the week we explored Glacier National Park and met our needs and wants very well. We appreciated the multilevel space. We spent much time on the deck in the evenings. The kitchen is well supplied with dishes, silverware and cooking pans. Perhaps a mid-season reorganization of pans and dishes would be helpful.
I appreciated the good supply and quality of towels and beach towels. My daughter-in-law liked having the washer and dryer handy. We enjoyed the young children toys and games.
Just liked our accommodations all around and appreciated being able to reach Carole during power outage.
The house is beautiful, very clean, and even nicer than the pictures! Everything was very comfortable and well stocked. The lake is beautiful and so warm!! We couldn't believe how cool the house stayed even though it was in the high 80's while we were there. The house is in a perfect location, three miles to Glacier, four miles to the store, family fun place, and many other things. My only warning to others would be that both neighbors are in pretty close proximity and do have quite a few dogs. They didn't bother us much, but would just warn others if they are looking for something more private and secluded. We definitely hope to return to Lake Five in the near future and will definitely stay here again if we have a large group. Thanks Carole!
We had a wonderful vacation here: two grandmothers, our son and his wife and the 4 grandchildren ages 18 mos - 9 years old. This place was perfect as the family had the downstairs and the two grandmothers had the quiet upstairs each night. The lovely home was spotlessly clean, very well stocked and had very nice linens and comfy beds We enjoyed the lovely deck and we also loved the fact it was gated so our 18 month old granddaughter could be out there with us. Of course the view from the living room and deck was spectacular. We had a very nice time at Glacier Park. The Going To The Sun Road opened just before we arrived so we were able to do lots more in the Park than originally planned. Carole was very accommodating with our changes in # of nights and always was timely in communications. Thank you, Carole, for a wonderful stay in your lovely home.
Great Location, Privacy, Wildlife, Views - the list goes on!!
A few of my girlfriends and I booked a long weekend at this Lake Five cabin and couldn't have been more in love with this property. The entrance to Glacier is just a few miles down the street and we spent a few days driving in and doing some day hikes (and we beat most of the crowds that had to drive in from Whitefish/Colombia Falls). At night, we'd come back and unwind on the massive porch overlooking the lake. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook delicious meals at home, but if you are interested in hitting the town I'd recommend the Belton Chalet (maybe 5 miles down the street) for dinner and drinks. This place is great for a romantic weekend away, a family vacation, or a place to get together and unwind with friends. I hesitate to even write a review because I want to keep it all to myself!!! A beautiful gym in the heart of the most awe inspiring landscape in Montana.
What an amazing slice of heaven! My husband and I have jobs that are high stress and require a lot of travel, so our family was in need of a quiet getaway, and this home on Lake Five could not have been more perfect. Each morning I brewed a hot cup of tea in a wonderfully appointed kitchen and sat on the huge porch listening to the bird's chirp and the peaceful lull of the lake. The days were spent exploring Glacier Park and the surrounding areas. In the evening we cooked a wonderful meal and again retreated to the porch to enjoy twilight and crisp mountain air. This home has everything; the kitchen has plenty of plates, cups, pans, and an added bonus of spices and sugar. The bedrooms have fresh white linens, and we slept so soundly. We have found my new favorite space, your soul will be recharged, and you will be counting down the days until you can return. Thank you, Carole, for opening up your home to us. I am planning a girls weekend in August and look forward to few glasses of wine on the porch. Cheers!
Can't wait to come back in the winter and next summer!
I love everything about this place. The home is beautifully built and furnished and had everything we needed plus more. All the towels, pillows, blankets, plates, pots, pans, you name it she had it! The property is absolutely breathtaking and is truly just a few miles from Glacier Park. The water was warm to swim in compared to the other surrounding bodies of water which made my children very happy. The swam for hours! We had fun going to the park, hiking, seeing mountain goats, big horn sheep, and several small critters. We traveled down to Bigfork, Kalispell, and Whitefish too. We ate out a few nights but mainly enjoyed coming back and grilling on the large deck and looking out over the lake after a day of playing or touring. We loved it so much we've decided to come back again and are going to experience this all in the winter. We hear the ice fishing, skiing on Whitefish Mountain Resort, and snowmobiling is a blast and that the snow is truly magical. Plus we are coming back next summer too....we already booked. Thanks Carole for opening up your home and allowing us this wonderful opportunity to experience your little slice of heaven on earth. We are looking forward to many more stays in your lovely home.
Ah! Just what we were looking for--TOTALLY EXCEEDED our expectations! The privacy and solitude of this seemingly secluded residence (houses on both sides but you can't really see them; paved road just a short walk up the driveway) proved to go over and above our quest for peace and quiet. A perfect spot for paddle boards and kayaks, and our four grandkids (ages 9, 7, 4, and 1) swam and splashed and played with floatie toys to their hearts' content. Hide-and-seek (fearful of becoming obsolete) was revived with gusto and the terrific swing set/sandbox filled in the gaps. We purposely left computers behind and were happy to experience the original meaning of now-familiar computer terms: refresh, browse, search, navigate, and chat (yes! face-to-face! with real companions--around the campfire!) Our 4-day getaway was such an unquestionably refreshing experience.
The kitchen cupboards were incredibly and wondrously stocked with everything we needed to cook and eat our meals. Bedding was comfortable and there were plenty of towels to go around. The owner obviously has a great deal of pride in this home and we feel blessed to have been able to borrow it for a few days. The groundskeeper has done a wonderful job of keeping the yard and flowers delightfully beautiful.
The one flaw in the whole stay was.....we should've booked it for at least two more days!
This vacation rental far exceeded our expectations for a family relaxation spot for my husband and me, our two grown sons and spouses, and four grandkids! We booked four nights in June and next time, we will definitely stay longer. For those of us who seek seclusion and privacy for our getaways, rather than tourist spots with their hordes of people, this rental filled our heartsâ desire! The house is impressively beautiful and certainly well-maintained, not one speck of dirt or dust (before we got there, anyway!) We appreciated the sparkling bathrooms, and everything we needed from kitchen spices to ample towels and washcloths were right where we needed them. The campfire spot was perfect; and the water was extremely accessible for grandkids and grammas alike! Floatie toys and paddleboards were the choice of water play and next time weâll round up some kayaks. Only two or three times was our solitude interrupted by the sounds of motorboats, and we were far enough off the highway that there was very little traffic noise. There are four or five stairs to get from ground floor to the deck (which, by the way, is superbly spacious and the railing is toddler-proof, to say nothing of the spectacular lake view the deck affords); the main floor has two bedrooms and therefore handicap-accessible. In fact, my husband used his electric scooter to get from house to lakeside and around the yard. Because the road through Glacier Park had not yet been opened (still snowy in June!), we were able to park our pickup at the base of the highway and my husband with his scooter, and I with my bike traveled up the Going-to-the-Sun Highway for a couple of hoursâbreathtaking; and with no cars to worry about, we enjoyed the camaraderie of other bikers and hikers. Unique experience; in fact we may in the future plan to be there before the road is opened!
Carole is extraordinarily accommodating and made it easy for us to plan our stay; the housekeeper is highly commendable and the yard maintenance made us feel right at home. We loved our time spent at Caroleâs home and we WILL be back!
My family really enjoyed this little slice of heaven. A wonderful porch overlooking the lake became our top relaxation spot. There was plenty of room for the family to spread out when alone time was needed too. The lake was quiet and peaceful.
This is the ideal place to stay if you are visiting Glacier National Park. It is very close to the park entrance and easily accessible. We had everything we needed in the house plus things we didn't think about. We couldn't use the fire pit due to the fire ban but the outdoor heater kept us all toasty while we enjoyed the beautiful view from the deck each night. We would stay again!
This property and the home are beautiful. We visited Glacier NP daily and ate dinner in Whitefish one of the nights. The kids loved swimming and fishing in the lake.
I gave everything five stars... except the accuracy of the description of the home... because the location is so much better than we expected! It was perfect for us - a true cozy family home for our family - my 75-year-old mom, my sister's family of five and my family of five. The deck is amazing and we spent most meals and family time outside! The closet is STOCKED with family games. We were so excited and surprised that the lake was big - with speedboats - we were expecting more of a pond. But there is a full resort on the other end of the lake! Our kids took out the kayaks everyday to explore and fish. We saw deer daily. The home is SO CLOSE to Glacier National Park and I can't stress how key that was when exploring the park all day. It's so easy and quick to get home. Property manager was helpful and so kind. Kitchen was stocked with basic cooking needs like spices and coffee filters and a huge amount of cooking appliances and plates, etc. Property was peaceful - sound does travel across the lake but the joy of hearing other kids play during the day was a delight. Very quiet at night, except for the lone train whistle which we LOVED. The puppies (and neighbors) next door were friendly and helpful. Plenty of soap, towels, shampoo, etc. A very comfortable, joyful, lovely vacation. We've been looking forward to this vacation for two years and this home was a highlight of ALL the national parks we visited. Thank you!!
Our family enjoyed our stay so much! After a day of hiking at Glacier National Park, we relaxed by swimming in the lake and enjoying the fishing, paddle boards, and kayaks. We celebrated our grandson's 3rd birthday there and it will be a birthday we will all remember. The location is perfect for exploring Glacier National Park and Lake 5 is so peaceful. The house was very comfortable and clean and had everything we needed. Carole was so easy to work with and quickly replied to my questions. Hopefully we can return one day! Thank you Carole!
Nine members of our family gathered to stay here for a week. We enjoyed being just 3 miles outside Glacier National Park, and we also really enjoyed just spending time on Lake Five paddle boarding and kayaking. We took turns cooking meals together in the well-apportioned kitchen, and enjoyed evenings just talking on the deck. We wish we could have stayed longer!
This was a perfect property for a family reunion. The big porch is fantastic, kids loved the games downstairs, all enjoyed the kayaks. Would give more stars if possible.
We thoroughly enjoyed our week vacation at this house. It has a nice back deck with beautiful views of Lake Five!! It is conveniently located close to West Glacier National Park, Whitefish and Columbia Falls. We hiked, golfed, went to the top of Whitefish ski resort, and drove to East Glacier as well.
The house is very clean and comfortable! We gathered on the porch each evening to watch the sunsets! We had a fabulous time!!
I've recently taken a job that leaves my home available for vacation rental. I'll come back and retire one day but for now, my loss is your gain. The picture is of me and my kids at the eldest's wedding on the shore of the lake.
This property has been in the family since 1948 with this house being constructed in 2010. Originally purchased by my Parents and Grandparents after World War II ended and my parents moved 'West of the Mountains', this spot has been a summer retreat for 5 generations now. In 2007 I decided to make this my full-time home and built the new house in 2010.
