We were happy to find this property in the neighborhood we wanted to be in. The proximity to the beach was ideal, and the home itself felt larger than it appeared in the photos. The new bunk beds were perfect for my 2 boys. There were plenty of beach and bath towels, and the kitchen was also well stocked with plenty of plates, glasses and pots and pans. The gas grill was convenient and easy to use.
The beach here is perfect for kids- with more sand than some parts of Peconic Bay, and a roped in swimming area to keep boats away from swimmers.
All in all this was exactly what our family was looking for in a summer rental.
Thanks again Michael!
This was our fourth stay with a group of six guests. Michael is a gracious and readily accessible host. The cottage is well furnished with towels, beach chairs, kitchen utensils and dishes. We appreciated the large deck with an outside shower and grill plus a covered table that seated all six of us.. Two of our group needed to be in contact with their employers. One is a computer specialist who commented that he really appreciated the high quality wi-fi service. Our life-guard daughter enjoyed swimming laps in the large roped off area. Other guests enjoyed less vigorous water activities or just sitting on the beach. Our families have been visiting this beach since 1924. This cottage has helped us maintain that tradition. We highly recommend this property.
We had a very enjoyable stay. Michael was very helpful with arranging a complex reservation. His wife, Mila, met us at the cottage and showed us all of the features. They welcomed our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. The deck has gates so the dog could be loose outside. The sliding glass doors in the kitchen and master bedroom brighten the rooms and provide convenient access to the deck. The kitchen has nice appliances. During the week we had two to four guests staying with us. They all complimented the arrangements and the comfortable beds. We would have packed a little lighter if we had realized that beach towels would be provided. The bay water is warmer and calmer than the ocean providing enjoyable swimming. You can walk for about a mile on the beach at low tide. Nonresidents can access the ocean beach at Avenue D in Southampton. The farm which originated Tateâs cookies is a convenient source of fresh produce, milk, eggs and bread. We were surprised to see that they were now selling Tateâs ice cream. A delicatessen and several restaurants are also nearby. Southampton and Sag Harbor are just a short drive. This cottage was an affordable way for us to return to the beach where our family had owned property for 90 years. This trip added to the many happy memories we have of this area.
This was our third visit. The location is special for us because our families had two cottages on this beach for many years. Michael and Milla are gracious hosts. They welcomed our dog. The kitchen has a good supply of dishes and utensils including tools for the outdoor grill which we used. We enjoyed the new outdoor shower. There were plenty of beach towels and chairs. The beds were comfortable. The washer and dryer were handy. We met some of the other residents this year. Even though it was after Labor Day everyone in our group went in the bay at least once. The ladies swam every day. We enjoyed Sag Harbor Fest. Overall it was a great family reunion at one of our favorite locations.
We spent over a month last summer at Michaelâs house. For our small family it was perfect. Our priority was proximity to water and outdoor space. The house is literally a five minute walk from a small nicely maintained bay beach. The outdoor deck is spacious with a grill that we used each evening. The deck also contains an outdoor shower which Michael has recently renovated. The shower is perfect. Frankly we never even used the one inside! Michael is a wonderful host. Not only is he honest and reliable but also a pleasure to deal with.
Had a great time, the house is relaxing and quaint! Great outdoor shower and the bbq is excellent for cooking dinner on! Would recommend staying here! đđŒ
