The property is well set for making memories. July is hot and the lake is your friend for swimming and fishing. There is a lucky hot spot that our littles were excited to find.
Park like yet private with 300 degree view of the lake! Incredible fishing, spacious comfortable cabin that was hard to leave! So peaceful and beautiful! This is the place!!
We could not have asked for a better stay! The home, location, and beautiful views exceeded our expectations. The fishing was great, which the kids really enjoyed. The end of the peninsula is so private, we felt like we were in the Northwoods!
We had an excellent stay at this cabin. The property exceeded our expectations, it was secluded with lake views from every angle. Swimming off the pier was awesome and we had great sunset views each night. The cabin was also very nice and perfect for our group.
This was our 3rd time here and it's always a perfect get-away on Tipperary Point. We really enjoy the feeling of privacy, as though you're on a secluded island at this property. Great scenery and the house has the feel of an "Up North" cabin. We will be back again next summer.
This is our third stay at Tipperary Point and they just keep getting better. The property is so isolated and beautiful. The lake water is warm and relatively shallow which is nice with young children. We canât wait to go back.
Large private property in an amazing location with water on 3 sides. Enjoyed water views from inside house from all rooms. House is well equipped for family fun and welcome basket was a nice touch. Grandkids enjoyed the play set and use of paddle boat. Would like to return when weather conditions were better for more water activities.
Beautiful, private property. Plenty of room, with everything we needed. Great for families with small children. The shallow water, play set and toys, books & drawing supplies were a big hit. Wish we could have stayed longer.
For the past 10 years I have been bringing my kids back to Wisconsin for my family to come stay with us on our family vacation at a lake house. For the last 3 years we have booked this amazing property and have reserved it again next year. Really cool cabin on amazing property.
We have stayed here several times and have always enjoyed ourselves. The heat was a little uncomfortable without A/C and there is a major ant issue in the kitchen area.
We absolutely loved our stay at this lovely cabin! We purposely chose this property for its cabin-like feel and amazing location, and it delivered! Water views wrap around the house, the grounds are well kept, the trees are mature, and the sunsets are spectacular. The inside amenities accommodated our group. We had everything we needed for meals and hang out time. Such a pleasure!
We just returned from a long weekend at the Lakeside Retreat. The location of this home cannot be beat. There is water on 3 sides and itâs completely private, which was amazing.
The house is a true âcabinâ. Itâs very cozy and has all of the things you need. The beds were comfy and we enjoyed the large deck and screened in porch.
The only downside was that there was no AC. It was 90 degrees and even with fans the house was HOT. Iâm sure in the spring or fall though it would be outstanding.
I've stayed at this property several times. The location can't be beat. Water essentially surrounds the property. Perfect place for adults and kids. Very nice house. Plenty of seating. Beautiful location for a fire pit, right on the water at the tip of the peninsula/point. Extremely private. We'll be back.
We've stayed here several times. The house is simple. It has everything you need - kitchen, grill, deck, chairs, fire pit, etc. The only thing we tend to long is A/C, mainly to regulate the humidity a little. Clothes, pillows, etc. get a little musty by day three. We keep coming back for the perfect location. The location on the peninsula is too good to be true really. You see water out of every window in the home. It's like you're on an island. Great location for the fire pit right at the tip of the peninsula. Thanks again for another great stay.
My family ranges from 4 to 65 and we all had a fun time. The location is so peaceful we never head another person. The boys loved playing in the lake both at the dock and sand pile area. We never needed bug repellent as the breeze kept them away. The property was clean and updated. We had a wonderful time having Nerf gun fights with the boys, they especially enjoyed ambushing us from the top bunk opening towards the living room The 3 season room gave us the extra space needed for the boys to do puzzles and jump around (we removed several pieces of furniture to a safe location). My only suggestion would be to have another large frying pan and restock the first aide kit (fortunately I had a kit in my car to patch up the 4 year old).I will certainly consider vacationing there again.Thank you for sharing your home.
Communication with Pete was great. The pictures were as advertised. The location, as mentioned was why this place rocks. I mean every sunset is just so pretty. The gift basket was a nice touch. The bathroom was sufficient.
But I would say that the owners need to at least put some clarifications n the listing description. Kitchen says remodeled but doesnât mention no water pressure, no disposal, no cabinet space for food and no dishwasher. It was very hard to find clean dishes from below or a spot to put all the food we brought in.
Other piece of advice is the word ârusticâ should be used in listing. We caught a live mouse in our room, there are spider webs everywhere and itâs just generally pretty rustic. Lighting was poor, fans old, no ceilings in rooms should be mentioned for guests with small kids because it was hard to sleep until the entire cabin went to bed.
Overall a nice stay with beautiful views. I just think the listing description should be a touch more accurate so we know what to expect.
Quiet, Wonderful Outdoor Space, Rustic Lake Cottage, Live in Your Swimsuit All Weekend
This was our second stay at this property. Four adults and two teenagers. We booked it again because it's at the very end of a small point, so very private and quiet. We saw bald eagles, cranes, and herons.
The owner is very responsive, the place is comfortable very well stocked with the basics, including life jackets, noodle floats, kitchen tools, linens and towels. Wonderful swimming and fishing right off the dock or off the point. Our teenagers could be found casting for bass and northerns in their jammies at 7am each morning until they were hungry enough to come in and eat.
There are plenty of books and board games and the WiFI is capable of handling multiple concurrent zoom calls if you are in a "work from vacation" situation.
Be prepared for a rustic lake cottage stay: no AC but effective ceiling and floor fans. If it's super buggy at night, bring your own small fan and extension cord and you can keep the bugs away. We had a little trouble getting the washing machine to cooperate, but figured it out. The place could benefit from floor lamps and/or soft white bulbs, but this also adds to the charm somehow.
Due to the river feeding the lake, there is a strong current and wonderful breezes, but keep an eye on any young kids on floatation devices.
This is worth the price, especially if you grew up enjoying lake cabins/cottages but now only get to do it once every few years. Highly recommend.
This is the second year we stayed at this property and have booked for next year.
Property is a one of a kind gem. Fishing is great with lots of shoreline. New dock is great for swimming and boating. Cabin is as described but more time spent outside than in. AC would be nice but being on the point and with Wisconsin cool nights and some fans we were very comfortable.
This is our second stay at the property and we plan to be coming back for many years to come. Perfect spot with amazing views. Peter is great to work with.
The Point has been part of our family since 1979. Although our father is no longer with us, the cabin and surrounding land are still lovingly owned and managed by my mother, brother, and me.
Growing up, we spent countless summer days down by the lakeâplaying, swimming, and making unforgettable memories by the dock. Now, we've continued that tradition with our own families, and it brings us joy to share this special place with others so they too can create lasting memories of their own.
Tipperary Point is truly one-of-a-kind. Situated on a gated peninsula and surrounded by water on three sides, it offers over 1,000 feet of shoreline and the rare ability to watch both sunrise and sunset from the same spot. It feels like your own private islandâpeaceful, secluded, and far from the crowds.
What makes it even more special is the history behind it. This cabin has been in our family since 1979, and weâve poured generations of care into preserving its rustic charm while ensuring itâs comfortable and welcoming. The Norwegian-style log cabin, cozy furnishings, and three-season porch provide a warm, nostalgic atmosphere, while the beach, lagoon, and play system create an ideal setting for families to unwind and connect.
This isnât just a vacation rentalâitâs a place where memories are made.
