Everything was exactly as described. Lovely casita with all amenities, and a desert backyard with a nice deep pool to stay cool in the summerheat. Surrounding was stunning, has never taken so many pictures in one place :-)Patti & Larry was the best hosts ever.
My adult grandchildren and their significant others spent 5 days at this Casita on 4 1/2 acres. They enjoyed it and came away from Tucson saying the desert is beautiful. That's what I wanted them to learn. This VRBO and the wonderful owner made it possible for my grandchildren to learn what it's like to be in the old Pueblo for just a few precious days.
My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this comfortable casita. We especially enjoyed watching the birds from the back porch, and look forward to returning when the weather is a bit warmer and we can spend more time outside. The host was very responsive without being intrusive; will definitely try to stay here the next time I'm visiting Tucson.
We certainly agree with most of the other 5-star reviews. Perhaps the most sincerest positive review is that we would certainly book this casita again, for a longer stay.
This casita fit us perfectly with two large bedrooms, kitchen, spacious living room, and beautiful back patio. Nearby are all the amenities you need; grocery and restaurants, shopping, as well as, hiking and biking. Hosts are wonderful, and they have everything provided that you need in a home away from home. Very comfortable stay and highly recommend; we will certainly return. Thank you very much for sharing with us!
This house is in a great location and had everything we needed. It was also just so comfy and cozy, we did not want to leave. The pool and hosts were so great!!!
Loved our stay and Patti was amazing ⊠loved the cozy home very private and loved being around nature and listening to all the birds and hearing the coyotes at night!
We loved our stay. We enjoyed biking in the morning and then relaxing at the pool. We used the back porch and grill for dinner most nights. It was so nice to sit outside under the covered porch and watch the birds. We were able to relax and enjoy our time spent at this cozy desert getaway. Patti was very nice and accommodating but gave us our privacy. This place is a must stay!!!!
The Casita checks all of my boxes. Plenty of room, clean, and an awesome backyard. Sipping tea on the swing in the morning and watching the birds could last for hours. Take one of the bikes to one of the many user friendly trails. The kitchen is well equipped. The beds are super comfortable. The perfect nexus of rural privacy and full access to amenities in Oro valley. We will be back!
We enjoyed our stay with Patti and Larry for 3 months. They were kind, helpful and hospitable. The guest house is very comfortable. The wildlife add an extra dimension to your stay with many birds and the occasional bob cat strolling by!
Pattiâs place is cozy and quiet but has all the amenities of home. Itâs far enough out to unplug but close enough to all the attractions of Tucson. We hiked, toured and visited all we wanted in the day then relaxed on the covered back porch in the evenings. Many birds in the area and the view in the back is beautiful. Highly recommend
We did not cook much but well stocked. (Bring your own decaf k cups and tea if you're not a caffeinated coffee drinker.) The dirt road was a challenge to find in the dark but very peaceful once we arrived. We felt very welcomed and enjoyed our stay.
We loved the Casita, and the yard was just beautiful with lots of birds to watch. We loved that they had a nice crock pot, so easy to have dinner ready when we returned from walks or golf. We walked on a dirt path by street that goes by Hosts driveway, and it was in from the main street, so very much fun to walk and didn't have to watch for cars. A lot of other paths in area also that we enjoyed. Played golf and Crooked Tree became our favorite.
Came home to visit from Canada and had my sister and friends stay with me. The pool is lovely and the cactus garden is beautiful. The house was honey and very comfortable. The beds were lovely with the big plush pillows. Both Patti and Larry are wonderful hosts. Thank you so much again. Ten stars!!
I wanted a place outside of town where I could easily walk in the desert in the morning, and this was by far the best place. The home was clean and comfortable with large comfortable beds, a large living area with comfy sofa, and the best views. I sat on the back porch working on my laptop just watching the birds and enjoy the all the desert life around me. Patti is very friendly and has put together a wonderful welcome packet showing everything around to see, do, and places to enjoy a bite to eat. When I return to Tucson, this is where I want to stay again! - Amazing
So quiet and comfortable. Loved waking up to the light from the skylight in the bathroom. The back yard garden is such a treat to sit and have coffee in the morning and watch the birds and desert wild life. Inside the cottage was so comfortable and cozy. Enough room for us. Kitchen well stocked with all the things you'll need for cooking. Bathroom linens and bed linens in abundance. Patti, our host was so nice and there for us if we needed anything. Pool was nice, didn't get a chance to get in it. Had too much going on. It was a great retreat. Will love to book and stay again.
The host, Patti, was friendly, responsive and non-intrusive. She responded to me almost immediately, solved my problem and then allowed me to soak in the desert beauty in the well-landscaped back yard. She kept the bird feeder well-stocked in thistle seed which attracted many colorful small birds. My favorites there: the Cooper's hawk who spent about 20 minutes preening his feathers, a Desert Spikey lizard who sunned himself on a rock, and a bobcat that I found staring through the sliding glass window in my bedroom! I appreciated that the windows were so clean which allowed me to take clear photos through them. The casita was very well stocked and it seemed that all my needs were anticipated. The mattresses and pillows were top notch, and all the furniture was comfortable. The decor is mostly southwestern. She invites the renter to take an Arizona-based magnet from the refrigerator door as a souvenir. I have mine on my refrigerator, and it reminds me of a memorable stay in Patti and Larry's desert retreat. Thank you!
We enjoyed our two months in this quiet peaceful place. We especially enjoyed sitting on the cool, shaded patio and watching the birds, including doves and we felt so welcome! The casita is quite compact but has everthing you need. We made use of the outdoor grill quite a bit.
Good value and location - Many plusses - Needs a deep clean
Our host was nice, the location for us was great. Having space to move around was a plus. Beds were memory foam and were comfortable. I have no doubt the unit is cleaned between guests, but a deep clean is suggested soon. Carpets need one and a peek behind any furniture revealed more need. That said, I do recommend this property and would stay here again. P.S. - We left for home earlier than expected due to weather and the host, unsolicited & graciously offered a full day credit towards our next stay.
Loved the backyard desert garden and the location in uncongested area made for a great way (could hear coyotes some nights!) to experience the desert. Patti was awesome and very accommodating by lending us some tools. Highly recommend.
Patti provided a very comfy place for us as home base to explore the lovely nature in the area. We especially appreciated the gorgeous yard and watching all the birds. We hope to return!
My husband and I are both retired, we live on the property and love sharing our beautiful desert spot. Your privacy is our priority, yet we are close enough to take care of any issues promptly. Come stay with us, enjoy the wildlife, the dark night skies, and the beautiful weather. We are currently cleaning and disinfecting between guests with an extra 3 day window before and after a visitor.
This Casita is in the desert, sitting on a 4.5 acre parcel, yet you are close to shopping, restaurants, golfing, hiking and bike trails. Two mountain bikes and helmets are provided. There is abundant wildlife, including quail, bobcats, javelina, coyotes, owls, hawks, lizards, and occasional gila monsters. There is plenthy of parking in the circle drive in front of the unit. It is quiet with a swing and lounge chairs to enjoy the beauty of the desert.
Guests always describe it as cozy, and we think that is because the casita wraps you in a feeling of home away from home. The living room, bedrooms. back porch and yard are generous and private. The 10 foot ceilings give the feeling of spaciousness. Our goal is to provide you with everything you might need for a comfortable easy stay. Cleaning products, laundry items for the in-unit washer dryer, dishwasher tabs, paper towels and toilet paper are all stocked. There is a keurig coffee machine and plenty of pods. The undercounter water filter provides great tasting city water and ice in the icemaker.
