Renovated air conditioned 2 bed/2bath condo in the Heart of Hilo!

Hilo Lagoon Centre is a mid-century modern building in downtown Hilo, Hawaii Island. We have recently remodeled our condo unit 421 to give it an updated modern feel. All new furniture and nicely decorated with theme of Aloha. The kitchen counter has 4 stools. Enjoy the sweeping views of Mauna Loa, Mauna Kea mountains and the vibrant downtown area in this mountain side of the building. Inside you have two suites flanking the main living area with kitchen. It’s a perfect fit for business or leisure. One bedroom has a king sized bed and ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom has a two twin beds and ensuite bathroom. The entire condo is air conditioned with three thermostats and air handlers (one in each bedroom, plus the living room).

There is a fully equipped kitchen with stove/range, microwave, full size refrigerator, toaster, and plenty of plates etc. for 4 guests. There are also three small balconies to dine al-fresco and enjoy the view. There is one dedicated parking space, elevator, and outdoor condo pool.

Hilo is a historical town with a growing number of restaurants, shops, art galleries and a world famous farmers market. Minutes from shoreline activities like swimming, snorkeling, surfing , hiking, etc.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The location is fantastic and incredibly convenient to everything. Our room was spotless, the bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the kitchen was fully stocked with all the cooking amenities we needed. Just a quick heads-up for future guests: cooking oils and condiments are not provided, so you will need to buy your own. While we didn't use the pool, it looked very inviting. The koi pond was a huge hit and kept the kids thoroughly entertained, and the little café at the building entrance was perfect for grabbing a quick coffee or even sandwiches on the go. The only real downside was the common laundry facility; it has restricted hours 7am to 10 pm, which made it difficult to use since we were out exploring most of the day and too tired to use it at night for it to finish

Beautifully updated condo - brand new!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a last minute trip and I feel so lucky to have found this condo. I know the building well and love the location. But some units are not updated - this one is exceptional! Everything is brand new, so clean, and very tastefully decorated. The floor plan is great for two couples or parents and kids because the kitchen is in the middle and each bedroom suite on either side. The beds were comfy. The kitchen is well stocked and really pretty. I hope this unit is available for my next stay. Highly recommend!

Well Worth IT!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We researched where to stay for a long time as our daughter had a HS volleyball tourney in Hilo. This property made more sense than a hotel room as it was a 2/2 with full living room and kitchen for about 80% the cost of two hotel rooms. The location was amazing and the condo was perfect. the building itself seemed a little old especially the first floor commercial space, the elevators, and the internal hallways, but once inside the condo unit, it was 100% worth it. The management company communicated and responded prior and during the stay. We had friends in other units and our unit was completely remodeled. I'd stay here again and I normally like staying in different places even if I am happy (different experiences).
