The Heidi Chalets are located in Carinthia on Lake Falkertsee in the Nockberge region between the towns of Bad Kleinkirchheim and Turracher Höhe at 1,850 metres above sea level, in the heart of the Nockberge UNESCO World Heritage Site. Hiking trails, cross-country ski trails and the ski area are all within easy reach on foot or on skis. All chalets have a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains and are situated on a south-facing slope in an absolutely quiet location (no traffic noise).
Our luxury chalet AlmsommerThe luxury chalet "Almsommer", newly built in 2019, is located directly at the tree line at the foot of the Heidialm with a mountain panorama and private access to the ski area. With 160mÂČ of living space plus terraces and balconies over 3 levels, it offers plenty of space for relaxation, family and friends. The living and wellness area as well as the panoramic terrace are located on the ground floor. Of the 4 bedrooms, 2 are on the top floor and 2 on the ground floor (also with mountain views). There are a total of 4 double beds and baby cots. Maximum number of guests: 12 people (8 adults, 2 toddlers and 2 babies). Dogs are welcome.Wellness & relaxationThe chalet has 3 bathrooms, each with an open rain shower, WC and high-quality Villeroy & Boch fittings, one of which has a whirlpool bath, sauna and balcony. The choice is yours: do you want to go to the sauna first and then cool off in the snow, or would you prefer to heat up the hot tub on the terrace first and relax with a glass of wine while the children take a bubble bath in the whirlpool tub? Or would you prefer to heat up the outdoor fireplace outside or read a book in front of the wood-burning stove indoors? The choice is yours and you don't have to worry about a thing: We take care of the bed linen, towels and final cleaning for you.Living & sleepingThe living room with its open-plan kitchen and counter invites you to linger. While the children watch Netflix after an exciting day's skiing, you can cook cosily in the kitchen and let your gaze wander over the open fire and the peaks. All bedrooms have satellite/smart TVs. On the large south-facing panoramic terrace, you'll find everything you need for the perfect holiday in the mountains - an outdoor barbecue, hot tub and garden furniture. All extras from WLAN to washing machine are of course included. MISCELLANEOUSThe chalet has a carport with a power socket (2 KW) for charging the car as well as a ski storage room and free sledges. A private staircase takes you to the hiking trails or the ski slope/cross-country ski run, which start directly above the Heidi Chalets. We are happy to offer our guests additional services (grocery delivery service, airport pick-up/transfers, Christmas tree service).
The chalets are located directly at the tree line on the alpine pasture and in the outdoor area of each chalet there is a magnificent panoramic terrace over the entire length of the house (sunny south-facing), which is equipped with a fireplace grill, seating and a table and of course the highlight - a HotPot with a panoramic mountain view. Relax and enjoy the view of the mountain world of the Nockberge UNESCO natural heritage site.
All our guests are personally welcomed on site and given an explanation of the chalet, so that you will quickly become familiar with how the HotPot, sauna etc. work. The chalets are equipped with travel cots (please bring your own mattress and bed linen for hygiene reasons), high chairs and games for the whole family. In addition to the living room, there are satellite/smart TVs (also with radio function) and free high-speed WLAN reception in every bedroom.
*** Winter ***Winter sports on the FalkertThe Heidi Chalets are perfect for mountain and winter lovers, families and those seeking relaxation. At 1850m above sea level, the whole range of winter sports is available to you: skiing, cross-country skiing, tobogganing, winter and snowshoe hiking, ice skating, curling and, of course, ski touring.Heidialm toboggan & family ski areaOur family ski area on the Falkert impresses with its stress-free pistes for all levels of ability from beginners to freeriders and its specialisation in children. The ski area is located between 1700 and 2300 metres above sea level in the heart of the Nockberge mountains and is known for its guaranteed snow. By enjoyable skiing, we mean snow from December to April and perfectly groomed pistes. The Falkert offers tobogganing fun for young and old on our groomed toboggan run, which is floodlit until 10 p.m.Heidi's Schneealm SkiparkHeidi's Schneealm offers 100% snow fun! Nobody gets lost in the fenced-in area and it is absolutely safe, making learning to ski fun even for the little ones. Heidi and Peter watch the children make their turns and descents, whether on skis, toboggans or snow tubes. A covered magic carpet and a rope lift take children and beginners up the slopes in comfort. Cosy deckchairs also invite parents to linger. Heidi's Schneealm is free of charge for all children up to their 6th birthday when accompanied by a paying adult. Ski school and hire facilities are right on site.Winter hiking & cross-country skiingAt the Falkert you can enjoy the snowy landscape on idyllic and groomed trails. The hiking trails and the high-altitude cross-country ski trail lead directly past the Heidi Chalets and offer a fantastic view and an unrivalled tranquillity - it goes over alpine meadows through a sunny high forest with old trees. The mountain panorama captivates with magnificent views as far as Slovenia and Italy. Another winter hiking trail leads in the direction of the Zirmach lift over to the ZirbenhĂŒtte and through the terrain of the Heidi Park. Ski tours & freeridingOur chalets are the ideal starting point for ski tours in the Carinthian Nockberge mountains, as you can start right outside the door. This mountain range, which reaches an altitude of 2450 metres, is a unique ski touring area thanks to its gentle peaks. Snow-covered peaks are waiting to be discovered. There are also marvellous off-piste options, such as the Sonntagstal or the descent to Sankt Oswald. Equipment and mountain guides are available directly on site at the ski school. Good to know for beginners: Our local mountain, the Falkert, has a well-signposted educational ski touring trail.Snowshoe hikes in the biosphere parkThe surrounding mountains of the Nockberge Biosphere Park, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its uniqueness, offer ideal terrain for extensive snowshoe hikes and are just waiting to be explored by you. You can hire snowshoes on site from the ski school. Guided hikes are also offered for all levels of difficulty and fitness. The absolute insider tip is to climb our local mountain, the Falkertspitz, in the morning and then enjoy the sunrise.Bad Kleinkirchheim ski areaThe large Bad Kleinkirchheim ski area with over 100 kilometres of pistes has pistes of all levels of difficulty and is only 15 minutes away by car. Bad Kleinkirchheim also has an extensive network of cross-country ski trails covering around 50 kilometres and several tobogganing options, as well as the nationally renowned Thermalrömerbad with its varied thermal world and a sauna area covering over 12,000m2. Also good to know: In winter, part of Bad Kleinkirchheim's spa park becomes one of Carinthia's many ice skating rinks. Curling is also on offer.Turracher Höhe ski areaThe Turracher Höhe with its 42 kilometres of pistes, snow park and funslope can also be reached quickly by car or taxi. In addition to alpine skiing for all levels, there are also cross-country ski trails and toboggan runs on site. The Turracher See cross-country ski trail is particularly recommended. Great fun for the whole family is the Nocky Flitzer high-speed toboggan run, which is open almost all year round, and ice skating on the natural ice surface of Turracher See, which is always frozen over in winter due to its altitude.*** SUMMER***Summer activities - Alpine holiday in Heidi's mountain worldIn summer, the Heidialm on the Falkert is the ideal holiday destination.
