Built in 1908 this historic cabin is full of original charm with a penthouse view. Step inside and you are immediately greeted by a full unobstructed view of Elephant Rock. Sleeping up to 9 people.

Walk outside the front door to an array of activities. Hiking & biking trails abound. The Glen park is a few blocks away & downtown Palmer Lake with shops & restaurants is within 1 mile. Spend your day SUP or kayaking on Palmer Lake or choose to walk the entire Santa Fe trail. Enjoy a round of Frisbee Golf or pickleball also at Palmer Lake. Hope your stay includes a rain storm to enjoy from our fully covered oversize deck. Whatever activity you get up to, our cabin is a charming home base.

Palmer Lake is a gorgeous and funky small mountain town. This cabin is located in "the glen" which is on the side of Chautauqua Mountain. If you are looking for a cabin with rustic charm & history & a view that will amaze you; you've found your spot! The cabin is within 20 minutes from the Air Force Academy & within walking distance to the glen park & downtown Palmer Lake.

You have access to the entire property except for 2 locked closets.

Our cabin has been lovingly prepared to welcome up to 9 guests. The master bedroom located on the top level has an attached bathroom sleeping 4 with a King adjustable bed as well as a twin trundle. Downstairs you will find 2 bedrooms both with a set of bunk beds, full over twin in one room and twin over twin in the other & the other full bathroom. Two living rooms; upstairs and down as well as a full kitchen (no dishwasher). A stackable washer and dryer provided for your convience. Skylights throughout the top level to help bring in the over 300 days of sunlight Colorado provides. Our cozy cabin has a wrap around deck to maximize outdoor time. Enjoy your coffee on the porch or snooze the afternoon away on our outdoor recliner.

You will want a car but uber & lyft are available

The cabin does not have air conditioning. The cabin does not have a dish washer. The cabin has been updated since 1904 but still has a lot of the rustic charm you would expect to find in a mountain side cabin. Parking for ONLY 2 cars. No street parking at any time; very narrow dirt road. Being on the edge of a mountain you will find bears, mountain lions, coyotes, creepy crawlies and occassionally bunnies and mice. This is a rustic and unique cabin and wildlife is apart of the charm.
