Pros: Super close to everything we wanted to do in SD - we were in the car less than 12 minutes going anywhere Clean studio, friendly neighborhood, convenient part of town Host communicated well (mostly) Kitchen was great Intimate space (small, but also organized well) SD weather is amazingChallenges:- There are a few minor honey-do needs for fixing it up: the bathroom door doesn't really close, the window unit hose (A/C) is loose in the window, etc. None of that is problematic, it's just sign that no one lives here. If you lived here, you'd fix that one afternoon.- Parking is on the street: a) be ready to parallel park on a hill in really small spaces between others, and b) only once was there a space pretty close to the rental. We were comfortable walking, but if that's not easy for you, it could be a challenge.- You can hear your upstairs neighbors. In our case, that was fine. The most we heard were loud footsteps from time-to-time (like our kids in their room upstairs). No problem for us, but different renters might be a different case.- There's a LOT of light leakage at night. Between the TV, the windows, etc. if you NEED it really dark to sleep, you'll notice it. If you sleep well regardless, great. - We paid (final charges) 160 a night. That's the most I would pay. It's really small, and there was limited space for common things in other rentals (like hanging clothes). They've been creative with the layout.
