Recently renovated, this elegant three-bedroom, two-bathroom retreat blends modern comfort with tropical charm. Surrounded by lush tropical gardens and a serene atmosphere, the home offers spacious interiors, inviting outdoor areas, and a peaceful ambiance ideal for relaxation.

What I love most about this property is its tropical garden and the peaceful atmosphere it creates. Surrounded by lush vegetation, it's common to spot iguanas, colorful birds, butterflies, and other wildlife right from the covered terrace by the pool. The natural light that fills the house throughout the day makes it feel bright, welcoming, and deeply relaxing.

Despite feeling like a private tropical retreat, the house is ideally located in the heart of Bahía Ballena, just a few minutes from Marino Ballena National Park, beautiful beaches, restaurants, supermarkets, and everything you may need during your stay.

For me, the perfect combination is being able to enjoy the tranquility of the garden and pool while knowing that all the area's attractions are just moments away. It's a place where nature, comfort, and well-being come together effortlessly.

One of the things that makes this location special is its authentic neighborhood atmosphere. The street is a blend of local family homes and beautiful high-end residences, creating a unique balance between comfort and genuine Costa Rican life. Rather than being isolated in a tourist enclave, guests can experience the real character of Bahía Ballena while still enjoying a peaceful and welcoming environment.

The house is perfectly positioned to enjoy both convenience and local charm. Just minutes away, you'll find supermarkets, restaurants, cafés, and everyday services. I am Swiss and Spanish, and travel has been a defining part of my life. I have lived in different parts of Europe and Asia and have spent many years exploring the world, particularly throughout the Middle East, Asia, and the Americas. These experiences have shaped my perspective and deepened my appreciation for different cultures, traditions, and ways of life.

I studied Fine Arts and have always been fascinated by history, architecture, craftsmanship, and the symbolism and iconography that make each culture unique. Throughout my career, I have worked as an interior designer, an international fashion manager, and a scuba diving instructor, professions that allowed me to connect with people from many different backgrounds.

Languages are another passion of mine. I speak English, French, and Spanish fluently, have a conversational level of Italian and Basque, and possess basic knowledge of several other languages. I find languages to be one of the most fascinating gateways into understanding different cultures and ways of thinking.

Today, I am enjoying a quieter chapter of life in Costa Rica, a place that inspires me with its natural beauty and relaxed pace. Here, I focus on projects and activities that bring meaning and fulfillment, and I enjoy sharing this wonderful corner of the world with guests from around the globe.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

I chose Bahía Ballena for my vacation rental because, in my opinion, it is the most authentic and conveniently located part of the Uvita area. It offers the perfect balance between local life, natural beauty, and easy access to everything visitors come to enjoy in Costa Rica's Southern Pacific region.

I live just 10 minutes away myself, and one of the things I appreciate most is how quickly you can reach both the ocean and the mountains. From here, guests can easily explore Marino Ballena National Park, beautiful beaches, waterfalls, wildlife reserves, and many of the region's most popular attractions, all within a short drive.

The neighborhood has a genuine local character while still offering excellent amenities, restaurants, cafés, and supermarkets nearby. For me, it is the ideal base for experiencing the real Costa Rica while enjoying the comfort and convenience of being close to everything.

As a Spanish speaker, I also love being able to connect with the local community on a daily basis. Costa Ricans, or "Ticos" as they are affectionately known, are among the warmest, friendliest, and most welcoming people I have met in my travels. Their openness, kindness, and willingness to help create a wonderful sense of community that makes living here especially rewarding.

My background in Fine Arts and design has influenced the way I care for and present the property, creating a space that feels comfortable, harmonious, and full of natural light.
