Amazing place with amazing views
We cannot say enough about how fabulous this place is. It was immaculate and everything was neat as a pin. It had all of the amenities of home, but in paradise! The views were spectacular we would have been happy just staying at the house, but we did venture out for some surf lessons and a horseback tour of Nauyaca falls. The property manager Daryl arranged everything for us and was available with any issue or question we had. The locals were very friendly and helpful as well. We already booked our next trip! Pura Vida❤
Great to have you guys as guests, we are excited for your return visit next year!
A action in paradise!!!
Our family travels a lot, and so far it was the best place we’ve ever stayed!!! The views from the house are stunning, pool is so good, feels good to chill out there after hiking! Daryl was a big help telling us about good places to eat and activities to do! The most fun for us was watching wild life around us, we were feeding capuci monkeys, coatis, agoutis, toucans, watching birds, lizards, butterflies! Beaches around the plays are so nice, our favorite was Vetanas and Whale’s Tail. Food was good everywhere, we didn’t go to one place twice just because we liked to try as many new places as possible!
Thank you to John and Mary for such a beautiful house, Daryl and Donna for keeping it running so well!!!
Hi Teresa, We are touched you would consider FT the best place you have ever stayed. we would love to have you come back again and will keep your vacation home in great shape until you return. :) John and Mary
Amazing location, views, and property!
Our family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Flying Toucans! Some of the positives included:
- amazing views and pool
- cleanliness of all the rooms
- awesome master bathroom decorated in jungle theme and feel
- helpful property manager Daryl in booking an adventure snorkeling Cano Island with mangrove tour
- kitchen stocked with essentials upon arrival like coffee and spices
- private parking and really at the whole property...you never have to close the curtains in the rooms, unless you mind monkeys seeing ya :)
- outdoor living space is large and comfortable to lounge around in
- great outdoor speaker for playing tunes while you enjoy the amazing view (and did I mention the pool and view???)
We had a fabulous time and loved being in the middle of Dominical and Uvita!
Thanks Jen for reviewing our property and spending your family summer vacation with us. Come back soon!
Where to begin?! Absolutely incredible!
This was our first visit to Costa Rica as a family. We spent months before our trip researching specific areas and decided on Dominical. When we found Flying Toucans, we knew this was the place! Words cannot begin to describe the breathtaking view you will witness upon arrival to the house. I am pretty certain this is heaven on earth. Daryl was so helpful and arranged all of our excursions for us. We went horseback riding to Nauyaca Falls, had surfing lessons at Playa Dominical, and went fishing with Isidro. What adventures we had! The rest of the time was spent exploring Uvita and Dominical or hanging out at the house. We ate at several sodas and enjoyed them all. Our favorite was actually a little soda in Uvita called Soda ranchito Dona Maria. Highly recommend this excellent little place for great local food! The Baker Bean in Uvita was very good as well. The remainder of the time was spent at beautiful Flying Toucans. It was so difficult to leave this place! The house was clean and beautifully decorated. The beds were super comfortable. Wi-Fi was great! The infinity pool? Oh my word! Our kids rarely got out of it. We saw toucans, coatis, capuchin and howler monkeys, lizards, and even got to meet Tarzan the sloth. I took so many pictures of these guys. I'd also like to add that we were hesitant to come in the rainy season, but I don't think we'll come during any other time in the future. The mornings were nice and breezy. The entire week, it didn't rain until late afternoon/evenings (so the rain never prevented us from doing anything at all). We would spend our evenings playing cards, drinking wine, cooking, and looking out over that stunning ocean--watching the rain fall and listening to the thunder roll past us. John and Mary, thank you so much for sharing your beautiful house with us. Thanks for everything, Daryl! We will be counting down the days until we get to return to Flying Toucans! Kelly Baugher
Ahhh, you guys are the best! We feel the same about FT and love sharing the amazing experience felt there with our guests. Come back soon, John and Mary
Great time in Costa Rica and very nice villa
What a view! The stay at flying toucans was fantastic! We enjoyed Costa Rica and being in dominical put us in a great spot on the South Pacific side of the country. The ride from San Jose was a little long but worth the drive. We made it a journey and stopped along the way for dinner and or sightseeing. Daryl was great and very responsive helping us organize activities - trip into rain forest, massage therapist coming to villa and some good restaurant recommendations. He also had a water issue fixed pronto......we had a broken waterline to the house which they fixed within a couple of hours. It happened during our massages and were as quiet as could be expected so as not disturb our zen moments. We hiked down the road to a private area along the beach to try to fish, but found it was mostly good scenery. The pool was great except the water was a warm as the air, lol. The air conditioning upstairs was great to sleep in. We saw cote, agouti, howler monkeys, basalask lizards, capuchin monkeys, toucans, all sorts of hummingbirds, lizards, and other things. The landscaping is great too. Would stay here again!
Happy you were enthralled with your vacation to Flying Toucans Jon. Hope you can return someday.
