The home features gorgeous Victorian design with a spacious, two-story floor plan awash with natural light and updated for contemporary living. The main floor comes furnished for comfortable group gatherings with an open layout offering plenty of room for everybody to spread out. Kick back with a good book in the sunny sitting area or enjoy family movie and game nights beside the living room fireplace. Great time at Fairhaven

We had a very fun time at Fairhaven. Very comfortable house with small back yard where we had BBQ. Short walk to beach. Nye Beach is a lovely area with attractive shops and restaurants.

The house was clean and had lots of space for all our family. The location was perfection. We went to the beach every day. Loved walking into Nye Beach District to shop/eat/stroll. Right across from a playground. This house was a great home base for a weekend filled with simple joys.

This place worked well for our extended family of 8 with 5 adults and 3 kids. We cooked in and found what we needed in the kitchen. It is a block to a kids park and the beach as well as NYE beach shops. Easy access to surfing. Nice hot tub. Very enjoyable stay. The Support staff were prompt and helpful when needed. I would stay again.

Company fishing trip

Every year we take our whole company and their families to the coast on a fishing trip. These three houses make for a great time at the coast. We had a BBQ on the first night and it is great to have 3 BBQs to cook on. Also, our employees love using the hot tubs. It is so convenient to have all three houses at one time. I would recommend anyone that has a large group to use these houses.

Great, centrally located house

The house is in a perfect location with ready access to the town and beach. Having to go through a bedroom to get to the hot tub is a little inconvenient. Having a tape/CD player is a little weird and the VHS tapes are hilarious.

A great place fir families in a great location

We thought the home was excellent in terms of comfort, appointments, and location. Clean and quiet, though the front bedroom suffers from a lack of blackout blinds given the streetlight outside. Everyone thought the beds were comfortable. Both bathrooms were super clean and roomy, and we appreciated the extra beach towels. The main room was plenty big for a group and the couches were above average for a rental home. The playground across the street was perfect, and we walked to wonderful restaurants and the beach every night.

Coastal Gem

Beautifully decorated and well kept seaside home. Right next to a playground and the performing arts center, centrally located and 2 blocks from the beach! Parking was fine but the bushes out front made it tricky for passengers to get out. Otherwise this was a very clean, cozy coastal stay. Has a keurig for single or whole pot, so make sure to bring coffee or coffee pods since none are provided for you, which would have been a nice touch! Beautiful and comfy, regardless.

Bring your own pillows! Those supplied were ancient and frankly disgusting. They all need replacement. No cable TV. Roku box with no code available. House is very nice and clean. Nice seating. Comfortable beds. We’ve stayed in these houses for years, but still miss when Norm owned them.

Family Vacation

The house is a good size. It is also very close to the beach, local shopping, and restaurants. It wasn’t as clean as I would have expected for the price. There were handprints on the mirrors, the windows were so grimy you could barely see out of them (which obstructed what would have been a BEAUTIFUL view of the ocean), the drain in the downstairs bathtub was obviously clogged or just doesn’t work well (either way your showering in standing water). For the price of the home, they could afford to make sure these little things were cleaned and working properly before our visit.

Great Location, but What A Disappointment

Great location. But: The hot tub only has one set of working jets out of four. The grill isn't gas--requires charcoal not supplied. Not a box of Kleenex in the entire house. Blender not there on arrival. Sparse bedroom furniture (no dresser in one). Only one of four bedrooms has a tv. No coffee pods. No recycle container. Windows exterior filthy. Both bathrooms need a deep cleaning. Given the rate per night, this house was sorely lacking and a big disappointment. The listing is misleading. Not nearly up to standards of other VRBOs we've rented.

The location is great. But, I expected much more, having rented homes from VRBO in the past. I expect the hot tub to work (one of four sets of jets work); I expect bathrooms to be sparkling clean (not so here); I expect at least a couple pods for the coffee machine (none); If the description includes a blender, I expect there to be a blender (no blender on arrival); I expect the grill to be ready to go (had to buy charcoal); I expect a recycle can (none); I expect more than one of four bedrooms to have a tv; I expect a box of Kleenex (none); When a house has an ocean view, I expect clean windows (the dirt was substantial); I expect a house that shows pride of ownership by being reasonably updated (not so here--old appliances, old toilets, lack of bedroom furniture). This was disappointing for so many reasons, and we paid top dollar for our stay.If this was my first VRBO stay, I would assume all houses are neglected like this one and never do it again. Our week wasn't worth the 6000 I paid....far from it.

The Place has potential

Loved Nye Beach. It's a sleepy Oregon beach town. The place is within walking distance of most everything in Nye Beach. The Place itself has much to offer; unfortunately, our experience marred the overall feeling. Since covid, it is our routine to wipe down all high touch areas with disinfectant wipes. When we were first unloading our gear, we encountered a pool of a gel like substance on the floor in the entryway, which we immediately cleaned. Taking our cooler upstairs to the kitchen, there was coffee dripped down the front of the dishwasher and on to the floor. The toilet had recent brown moist stains on the underside of the toilet seat and on the basin. The kitchen counters, and the surrounding area (bar stools and carpet) had crumbs. There are many blinds that need repair, and between that and the very dirty windows, it takes away from an otherwise nice home. The carpets are stained and there were small pickers on one of the blankets. Again, this place has a ton of potential! It really is a nice place if only someone were paying attention to details.

Adequate, not great.

Home was adequate, but absolutely nothing special and outdated. Oddly small trash can in the kitchen. Downstairs shower ran out of hot water quickly. An odd mishmash of decor and basic home supplies. Very disappointing the tv didn’t work downstairs. Internet went out during our stay. Games and entertainment mostly incomplete and lacking. Hot tub jets not working. Blinds were damaged. Vacasa was very responsive when notified of the damaged blinds. Pictures didn’t match the house completely. However, location is fantastic right down the street from Nye Beach and a couple blocks to the ocean (unfortunately ugly multi complex housing is being built blocking a phenomenal view). Good base camp for exploring all Newport has to offer. I always look for a coast rental with a hot tub and fireplace, and while partially working, it wasn’t a memorable experience. I would not pay the price to stay here again.

The hot tub was the highlight of our stay. We also really enjoyed the spacious living room. The fireplace was amazing. The rooms were big and beds comfortable. The location to the beach was an easy walk. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook. Would definitely recommend.

Exactly what we wanted!

The house was very spacious and clean. Our favorite part was the room upstairs that included the kitchen, dining room, and family room. This open space gave the 7 of us plenty of room to do different activities (puzzles, games, reading, etc) and still be together. We hope to come back soon!
