The Space:

This Sunriver home has a reverse-living floor plan with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. The home has a stunning second level private hot tub, and eight SHARC passes.



Near Fort Rock Park and the Village at Sunriver, it's easy to get around. There are 40 miles of paved trails in the area, so it's convenient to travel by bike.



Settle in next to the large fireplace for a movie night, post vacation shots over the WiFi, or play board games around the dining table. Take a soak in your private hot tub, or relax inside in the cool air conditioning. Prepare a delicious meal in the full kitchen, which has a coffee maker and dishwasher. Outside on the deck is a grill for barbecues.



There are two master suites, one with a king upstairs, and the other with a queen downstairs. There is a bunk bed for the kids in the third bedroom downstairs, and a queen sofa bed makes room for a total of eight guests. Each bedroom has a TV, and there's a washer and dryer.



Our no pets policy creates a safe haven for guest that have severe pet allergies. The owners and some guests have severe allergies and the home must remain pet free at all times.



Go skiing or snowboarding at nearby Mt. Bachelor, or go swimming and then play a game of basketball at SHARC. Go fly fishing in the Deschutes and see if you can catch something for dinner!

Perfect Location and Comfy House

This property is centrally located near Fort Rock Park. Really comfortable and clean interior with a great hot tub and spacious deck for outdoor dining. Perfect for a long weekend getaway or weeklong stay.

Fort Rock Vacation home

Great location, comfortable, plenty of seating, nice deck area, would have liked more children’s toys, more seasonings, more DVDs, but overall, great stay.

Good for a family!

Great house for our family with 3 boys. Walking distance to Fort Rock Park, well equipped kitchen, and comfortable beds. The deck and hot tub were fabulous! The BBQ needs to be replaced (it’s rusted out and the igniter doesn’t work), but otherwise the house was clean and well maintained.

Stellar Home

The home exceeded my expectations. Very spacious. They had foam topper on the mattress that made if feel like I was sleeping on a cloud. One of the few times remarked getting good sleep on vacation. The outside deck is completely private. The SHARC passes were conveniently located (and utilized!). Next time we want to go to Sunriver we don't have to look for another location to stay, will be bummed if this location is not available, but understandable.

Great vacation at 3 Lava Butte Lane. Definitely recommend.

Upstairs great room (living, dining, kitchen) is very spacious with lots of natural light. Deck is huge and awesome. 3 full bathrooms are great, and the third bedroom includes bunkbed, couches and tv for the kiddos. Also, close to fort rock park, which is nice.

Great Family House

Place was fun to stay at. Gave it 4 stars. Recommendations for 5 stars - Power cord for griddle was no where in the house. A few bikes were very outdated. But the modern ones all had issues. One bike had a missing wheel when we arrived and the other two bikes didn't shift correctly. Chain fell off one bike while we were riding but easy to put back on.

We Recommend Lave Butte #3!

A nice layout for two families...with plenty of room for kiddos to play. A beautiful view of Bachelor from the deck, a great, equipped kitchen to cook in, bikes to ride, and the hot tub to relax in at night. The park was just a short walk away which the kids really enjoyed. A nice central location in Sunriver. We didn't want to leave! We will be back!

Wonderful stay

Wonderful house, nice big comfy beds, and fun bunk beds for kids that is away from the main suite. Very clean and has everything you need for your vacation. My phone ran extremely slow on their WiFi, but I wasn’t there to scroll on my phone so not a big deal. However someone going there that may want to work should keep that in mind. The house was right down the road from the park and tennis courts and that was wonderful, but the shops were almost a 40 minute walk so we drove mostly. We wish we had bikes but we had a small infant with us. We have a toddler and the stairs were a little scary so if you have a little toddlers running around, keep that in mind that there are lots of stairs.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice location but home design was poor. Dishes were dirty in cabinet. Lamp in bedroom did not work. Trash cans full on arrival. Deck not safe for children under 5. Bathroom downstairs with hair in drain on arrival.

The devil is in the details

This is a very nice property. The space is great - beds are comfortable, patio is large, good location. That said, the property doesn't appear to be well-managed. *Poor wifi connection. Had to switch off wifi and use data. *Conflicting check-out instructions. Email from the property mgmt company (Vacasa) stated to strip the beds; the instructions in a binder in the home said not to strip the beds. *There's a dishwasher and signage indicating not to use dishwashing powder. The only dishwasher soap provided was powder. The dishwashing liquid provided stated not to use in the dishwasher. *Bikes were available, but all were in some state of minor disrepair. One tire was flat on every bike - and the air pump provided was partially broken. *Pantry was barely stocked - not even cooking oil. But there was an overabundance of cooking/eating utensils and dishes. *I expect the outside to be "dirty" to some extent, but the entire patio and all tables/chairs had a thick layer of pollen and yard debris. I had to clean the areas of the patio that we wanted to use. It was clear the patio had not been touched before our arrival. *Fireplace was nice but there were no instructions included (e.g., where to dispose of the ashes). *Patio doors were super sticky - hard to open/close/ *Window screens had holes, allowing bugs in. *Very dusty - visible clumps of dust hanging from ceiling. *Vacasa communication is excessive. Disruptive during our stay and still a nuisance d/t request for review.

Perfect Location

We had a great visit to Sunriver! The house is perfectly located close to Fort Rock park, the SHARC, the Village, and the River. We went out in all directions easily to explore. The four adult bikes and SHARC passes were an added bonus! The kitchen is well stocked with any dish, pot, pan, or cooking utensil you might need. The hot tub was clean and hot (4 hot tub towels in the home). The open floor plan upstairs worked well as a gathering place for our two families of four staying in the home. The pull out futon and bunk bed worked for the four kids in the downstairs part of the home. Overall the house suited our needs well for a summertime adventure!

My family and I stayed in this home for a reunion. It gave us plenty of room to mingle and catch up. The only thing that was a bummer was the breaker was fidgety for the hot tub and in the downstairs master bedroom. The hot tub would stop working randomly and we’d have to flip the breaker to get it to work again. The electricity in the downstairs master bedroom was weird, one of the nights, all the lights wouldn’t turn on, only in that bedroom. Overall, the stay was beautiful and we enjoyed biking around!

Wonderful, light atmosphere.

The house gives a less-than-stellar first impression with a front porch which badly needs a paint job, and a generally battered appearance. However, not to worry, it's just putting its worst foot forward! Inside there is a spacious foyer, with plenty of room to let ski boots get warm and coats and gloves to dry out. Up a few steps and there's a large, bright, cheerful kitchen/common room. The kitchen has all the needed utensils and serving plates. We cooked and baked quite a bit, and we even found things like a cheese grater, garlic press, multiple cutting boards, etc. The fireplace draws well and is easy to use. The furniture is comfortable and there are puzzles, books, DVDs, etc. available. There were four adult bikes, two with gears. All the bedrooms were comfortable and the washer/dryer are large capacity. Hot tub was just fine. In general, the house is a little dated and worn around the edges (carpet, blinds in master bedroom, etc.) but it's a wonderful space, has everything needed, and is very comfortable.

Anemic AC unit

Rooms were wonderful. Family had a nice separation of space. Wondered why when we arrived that there were so many fans everywhere when the unit was advertised as having air conditioning. Even with the air conditioning on the house did not get any cooler than 86 degrees inside. We left after two days. Fires started nearby and could not open windows to cool the house down. Very disappointing.
