The Space:

This vacation home offers ocean views and a secret hideaway in the 'tower' - a spot that's just perfect for kids to play (or if a parent wants a private reading space!). From the living room's large picture windows, guests will have a view of the waves rolling in. The outdoor deck (where the private gas grill is stored) is an ideal place to enjoy the breeze and the fresh ocean air.



There is a path to the beach two blocks from the house! Once out on the sand, you can stroll along the 10-mile stretch of beach admiring the rolling waves. Walk along the beach for a few minutes to the Surfside Restaurant (one mile away by car) for some fish tacos or stuffed French toast. Wander the galleries or stop by the Waterfront Depot for their famous crab-crusted halibut (just over six miles by car). Seeking adventures while on vacation? Visit the Siuslaw River with your fishing gear six miles away, or head out to the ocean for some deep-sea fishing - there are charters that leave daily right from the coast at Florence and Coos Bay. A short 27 miles drive south is the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, where guests can observe the ATVs and dune buggies navigate the sand.

Everything was great, hot tub worked amazingly and nice walk to the beach. there was a dirty diaper left in one of the rooms we assume from whoever was last in that room but other that that everything was amazing!

It’s a cute coastal home tucked at the end of the street. We had some trouble with the lock but found work around pretty quickly with the host help. Definitely is a dog friendly house. Close to the beach and that is all we wanted.

What a wonderful beach house!! My daughters and I stayed 2 nights and absolutely loved everything about it. Having the ocean view and waves off the deck were spectacular. We will be back (maybe bring the hubbies next time). Thank you for great memories !

Hot tub was ok. Outside garbage container had rotted and animals had scattered garbage down ravine. We didn’t know how to turn on shower.. there should be some directions posted. After several messages and a couple phone calls we did get a call back.. took a couple hours, and we were told how the shower water turned on. Walk to beach was down a steep hill and uphill on the way back. A few of the kitchen appliances were broken

Upside to this property was the location, private and quiet at the end of the street just a short walk to Heceta Beach. We also really enjoyed the hot tub.The house itself wasn't great. The shower never quite reached luke warm temps for taking a shower. Which is contrary to the hot water accessible in the kitchen. The tub was slippery and needed a mat to prevent that. It also had "give" to it, so it was a concerning space. The pans and cookie sheets were chipped and appeared dirty. They really should be replaced. Also, the bedroom floor was sloped to the hillside and was reinforced with pencils that rolled that same direction on the kitchen counters. Host company was quick to respond, but everything seemed to lack a full and complete answer.Not our favorite stay in the area. Will not be returning to this house again.

Let's start with positives. Housekeeping was good. Bathroom and kitchen surfaces were clean as well as bedding and bathroom fixtures. Stove, dishwasher, refrigerator and shower were all clean and worked well. Ocean view and access were good. Check in was a struggle on Google Chrome browser. Finally called and convinced owner to give us a door code sometime after check in time.House is nothing like elegant (as in description). Inside, outside, hot tub and most furniture needs a through cleaning, maintenance repairs, updating paint or replacement. I would describe property as "humble" at very best. The beds are squeaky and old, couches have old, dirty couch covers and seating is broken down and uncomfortable. The hot tub needs to be shocked and a through cleaning. Landscape outside to severely neglected. There's a little garbage can shed at front of driveway that is fallen down and extensive garbage thrown over the bank there. A small shed in the front is ramshackle and stores an old BBQ and microwave. I didn't go snooping, but the door was open and visible from parking area. The place could be cute and cozy with a bunch of love, but really not worthy of a good review as is.
