Tucked in the woods, this updated Tahoma cabin offers the ideal year-round retreat with opportunities for outdoor adventure just minutes away! Hit the hiking trails at the end of your street, relax on the beach at nearby Meeks Bay, or head out on the lake for a day of boating. Come winter, drive six minutes to the slopes of Homewood Mountain Resort or travel 25 minutes to Squaw Valley Ski Resort. You'll also be within minutes of Vikingsholm, Chamberlands, and Tahoe City. Local restaurants are minutes from home and include upscale lakeside options. Find three local markets nearby.

A cozy living area welcomes you home after a day of alpine adventures. A couch, armchair, and loveseat sit before a gas fireplace. There is a bright dining area with a gorgeous wood table. Cooking meals is a breeze in the well-equipped kitchen with a Keurig coffee maker, outfitted with plenty of cookware and a full suite of appliances - including a gas range. Enjoy casual breakfasts at the kitchen bar as well.

Get set for movie nights on the 55-inch smart TV complete with Youtube TV, Amazon Prime, Netflix, a Blu-Ray player, and a soundbar. Or hook up your console to the big screen for a night of gaming.

Upstairs, vaulted pine ceilings add a warm ambience to the bedrooms. The main features are a comfy bed and a 30-inch TV. The main and guest bedrooms share access to a bathroom with a walk-in shower. Downstairs, the third bedroom is furnished with a 30-inch TV, while a guest bathroom has a tub/shower combination.

On warm days, head outside to the wraparound deck with seating for six, an umbrella-shaded picnic table for eight, and a gas grill - all set against a tranquil backdrop of soaring pines.

The home has electric bear wires that are easy to use. Please turn them on whenever you leave the cabin to protect the home and your personal belongings. This is bear country and they are active at all times of the day and night.

The grill is not available for guest use in winter months.

Ideal location

Great cabin in the woods, but close to beaches and other amenities. Beds are comfy, fully equipped kitchen, awesome front deck for grilling and fun.

A great stay!

Everything was exactly as pictured - we had a great time, super easy experience. Only downside was that it was during a snow storm and snow removal was not done when we arrived (despite us calling 2 hours ahead of our arrival to make sure it would get done).

Wonderful cozy house in Tahoma

The house was very comfortable for our family of 3 and was clean. It is located on a quiet street that doesn't get much car traffic. Very quiet at night and in the mornings. The furniture was comfortable and appreciated and the house was well stocked with most items you would need. Newer flooring is nice, well done by the owners. I would rent this house again if I was staying in west shore.

Very clean, well maintained and the kitchen was well stocked. When I first walked in, I smelled a whiff of what might have been cigarette smoke (?) but my family didnt notice it.

Dirty With Bad Management

This property was filthy dirty when we arrived and we would not recommend it as the property management company that runs it could care less. Find another place to rent.

Decent house but had some issues

Nice house for family of 4. Our issues were the construction next store, which should have been disclosed. It was loud at times starting earl and throughout the day. Other issue was the house was not well cleaned. They should also clean the tables on the deck, which had food remnants from prior guests. Also, There was no dishwasher detergent which was a hassle as we had to buy it (management company said they would have it dropped off but never did).

First Trip to Tahoe

The Cabin was very cozy for our group and we enjoyed all the amenities including the TV and living area space, the outdoor patio and BBQ grill, as well as the kitchen to cook food during our stay. The cabin very much provided a nature aspect to our first trip to Tahoe! *also appreciated the bear wires as we did see a black bear in the area while driving from the stor on our second night. Wonderful well built cabin

This home was perfect for our family - three good sized and comfy beds, nice common areas and a peaceful setting. Big bonus: just a short trip to Sugar pine point SP (we walked), and a 10 min drive to emerald bay/desolation wilderness trailhead.

Relaxing

This cabin was a quaint home for our family vacation. We enjoyed being away from the hustle of the casinos but close enough to drive to them if we chose. We rode bikes on the trail everyday and enjoyed the small community at Chambers resort.

Perfect Tahoma Cabin

This place is in an excellent location, just a mile from Chambers and a short drive to many great spots in Homewood and Tahoe City. The house was pristine when we arrive and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. 10/10 and would definitely book again.

Fun getaway

In the midst of Covid stuff we wanted to have a mini getaway with family to feel some normalcy and this house and location definitely brought it. We were happy to be guests here and cook some fantastic meals, make a sled route in the backyard, and enjoy the close proximity to everything tahoe. Highly recommend!!

Extraordinary 4th of July

Due to COVID-19, we enjoyed a quiet Independence Day visit (7/3-7/9). The house is very comfortable with a grill which we used frequently. Wonderful layout for those with children, too!
