I had a great stay at this rental. The location was perfect, great for walking to local eats and shopping, and driving to most locations was pretty easy as well. The unit was clean and comfortable. I had great communication with the property management when an issued arose. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location and clean place.

The place was kept clean and had a nice pool for the family to enjoy. Parking was excellent at this place as well as the view from our balcony. Close to lots of great restaurants and it’s near the farmers market. We really enjoyed our stay and would be glad to come back!

It was a good location easy access to everything.

Great condo, great location

Everything about our stay was great. The condo had everything we needed, it was very clean (except the carpet, which is stained), the breeze was wonderful, the location was super. It was walking distance to lots of restaurants and shops. Covered parking was a bonus. Definitely recommend this place.

1st trip to Hawaii

Trip to escape winter weather and that goal was definitely achieved. Temperature was ideal along with breeze from the ocean. Enjoyed constant sound of the ocean waves coming in. A little noisy at night off and on with cars speeding down street in front of condo along with their loud music. Fortunately, this was not constant. Condo had everything we needed to head to the beach. Felt very safe here.

My cousin and niece joined me for first week of my vacation, and I let them have the bed. I took the fold out couch. After they left, I didn’t move from the couch! 19 nights. It was that comfortable. A nice surprise, for sure! Very well stocked, including beach stuff Seven beach towels, leave yours at home. Some beach stuff could be replaced, but you’d get by. The security in this building is excellent. Didn’t bother me at all to be here two weeks alone. The only thing I bring up is living room drapes. They don’t cover all the windows and night light from other side of building was a bit annoying (to me). Loved my stay here and would love to return. Communication with realty co was great.

A great view from the side of the building to the beach

It was nice having my own parking space since most of Kona’s parking lots are charging fees now. I loved the location and was able to walk to restaurants and the market for fruit. But I must say the unit really really needs some tender, loving care.

Awesome location

The Kona Alii is a very nice place to stay. Unit 609 has amazing views of the ocean. You have everything you need at this unit. If you want to eat in, there’s a full size kitchen, if not, there’s lots of restaurants around where you’re staying. The pool is really nice and there’s an elevator and security doors, so super safe! I highly recommend Kona Alii and stay at unit 609, it’s the perfect Hawaiian unit.

This was a wonderful property. We were in Kona for diving, This was in the perfect location. We were only about 10 minutes from the harbor. The mall is right next to the building, so we could walk out the front door, and go coffee or dining. The only thing I can say negative, would be the living room needs one more panel of drapes. Thank you we loved our stay.

We liked the unit. It had some slight issues buy nothing that caused any real problems. Great location, just a bit loud at night due to activities outside such as volleyball games and bars.

As described. Right in the middle of Kona. Everything is walkable. Here to visit our daughter otherwise you really don’t need a car staying here unless you want to go further out. Be aware that this is in the middle of town so there is street noise. Not a big deal to us. Would stay here again

Clean and prim location!!

Our family and I absolutely loved this property. It was the perfect set up and size for the week for the four of us- two parents, one 18 year old, and one 14 year old. The beach gear was a blessing, and didn't leave our car the entire visit. This location is prime- lots of walking opportunities to local shopping and the farmer's market, and not a far drive to great beaches. The pictures exactly represent the unit, which is much appreciated. I spent almost every evening reading on the lanai while listening to the waves crash- heaven. We would most definitely stay here again!

Great Place in a Great Location

We really enjoyed our stay in this unit at the Kona Alii. The location is great, within walking distance of all the restaurants and attractions in downtown Kona. The assigned parking spot is a big plus now that the public lots charge a fee to park. We liked to go on excursions during the day and then park the car and try a different restaurant every night.The unit itself is very comfortable with a lot of little touches that make it a great place to stay. The two bathrooms makes getting ready to go out quicker. There are plenty of hangars in the closets (great for those of us who don't pack light. The washer/drier meant we didn't have to fly home with wet bathing suits. We had a great lanai that overlooked the pool and never got too hot. We had great communication with the host before and during out stay. I sent all my Christmas cards from Kona and the very cool writing desk was a great place to write them. We will definitely stay at the this unit again.

Great location but filthy

We arrived to dirty stained carpets that didn’t look vacuumed, holes in walls and ceilings due to AC install. After a long day of travel we turned down the bed to discover dirty sheets with a lot of hair. We stayed up until midnight doing laundry because the dryer takes 3 cycles to dry which is probably why the cleaners don’t wash the sheets. The property manager was apologetic but we had similar the year before moving bus the holes. The price goes up each year but condition goes down. Love the complex location!

Wonderful suite and location!

This condo/suite was perfect for our family of four. It was very clean, and extremely well stocked. We got a lot of use out of all the beach towels, chairs and boogie boards! The view from the lanai is stunning. We also found that it was generally very quiet at night- there was some music playing from a neighboring bar a few nights, but nothing excessive. Kona seems to shut down pretty early most evenings. The bed in the master was exceptionally comfortable! Having two bathrooms was also an added bonus. A few minor things that could be added are - barbecue tools (there are two barbecues downstairs by the pool) - a long spatula and long tongs would be helpful. Another thing that would be helpful is a beach umbrella. There is often no shade at many of the beaches - this didn’t bother us, but it may be a necessity for some. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back!!

Good location

The apartment was clean, kitchen well equipped and the location
. amazing. Overall we had a good place to stay but that place need a bit more attention from the owner. They have to change the carpet ASAP. They have to clean the showers in special the silicone in both showers The toilet paper holder was hanging in one screw, the air conditioning units are connected with all kind of pipes which are visible in the living area. Good size balcony and covered parking spot it’s a big plus. We had a minor incident with the check in process ( they forgot to email me all the information you need for checking in) but after we contacted VRBO representative everything was resolved. I ask them for a late check out ( we left at 4pm instead of 11am) and they were fine with that. Thank you!

Sunsets and sounds of ocean waves

My husband and I were here during the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak. So we pretty much didn’t leave the apartment except for an occasional walk. The view from the lanai was the best thing about the place... perfect sunsets with the sounds of the waves crashing... absolutely lovely. Now because we almost never left, our thoughts might be different then the average tourist who will be out and about. It’s close to downtown, but that’s good and not so good when you can hear some drunk people yelling at each other. Also, construction was going on in the apartments. Again, maybe not a big deal if you are out sightseeing though I do wish they had told us in advance. The place has almost everything we needed. They cleaned the place before we arrived and it had some lovely decorations. I think the sofa wasn’t very comfortable for our long times on it, but I think it might also be a sofa bed which is good for some. Could have used some curtains in the bedroom because the light pours in early, but the water was always hot whenever we took a shower. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Certainly would consider coming back here for a real vacation stay so we could go out and see the town.

Great condo in great location!

We stayed for 5 nights in this location. The afternoon we arrived, we were going to be about an hour and a half early, but we decided to drive to the condo just to see where it was located for sure. When we were about 10-15 minutes away, the rental company called to notify us it was ready early. The information was clear and made it easy to find where to enter and how to access the condo. The condo was very warm when we arrived so we turned up the AC and it was still warm. I called the management company, who was very easy to reach, and they had it repaired by the next day. There were a couple pinholes in the new AC tubing (they just installed a brand new system). We were very satisfied with the quick response and repair. Condo also had brand new luxury vinyl flooring where there had been carpet in the listing so that was a nice surprise. Great views, close walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Also 2 minute drive to a brand new Walmart and Safeway for easy grocery shopping. The pool was wonderful too. Great temperature and very clean. While we were staying there, I actually saw a cleaning/maintenance person walk around with sanitizer wiping everything down in the pool area and even going floor to floor wiping down the outside railings on along every condo. Kona Christmas 2022

The Condo is in a great location and overall we had a wonderful stay. The Outside Noise in master B/R required closing windows at 6am, and could also used blinds. SUN is BRIGHT in a.m. Otherwise NO complaints. Some suggestions for improvements are: Getting a cyber/key code locks on building doors in place of having to carry a key. Kitchen could use more and updated utensils & glassware [We bought wine glasses since only a couple mismatched ones were available.] Microwave could use replacement [old and rusting]. Carpet okay but is due cleaning or replacement, or alternate flooring (tile) for a hot/tropical environment. Beach gear needs updated.. Boogie boards small & big ones were worn out & unservicable. Umbrella and chairs appreciated and used daily. Thanks! Suggest having a large Costco Beach wagon; our last Kona condo had one and they offer excellent convenience to haul gear to/from beach. Family room furnished sparsely for such a nice big area, it could use more comfy cozy furniture [pit couch w/recliners] Thanks for a wonderful Hawaiian vacation
